is anyone interested in a new wireless mouse - would you consider the Dark Core RGB Pro?
I have the Logitech G603 and I am amazed by its battery life. It's not in the same league as this but still.
The battery life of this Dark Core RGB Pro seems to be dismal, at only 36 hours with lighting off ...
I would if they had a Left hand version.
I'm interested but I just bought a Dark core se before this new mouse came out
I already have the no pro se version from 2018 and I am thinking of getting a light wired mouse instead of a large bulky and heavy wireless mouse.
As a wired guy who has been working from home and using a mouse during the day for work purposes, and gaming at night, I'm going to switch over. Already have 2 PC's (work and personal) that I have everything running through a switcher for. Wireless mouse will just help eliminate some of that clutter.
What I like about this video is you didn’t waste my time with a long introduction and just started talking about the stuff in the title
I’m planning to buy the MM500 as my floor carpet 🙃
At least as an area rug
Damn, do u have a villa or something?
Mat
👍😀😂😂
Always great tech info from the GRU Crew! Thank You KIitGuru! Mine gets delivered on 01/19/2023.
Got this mouse for my HTPC setup. The mouse is quite comfortable and feels great to use. It encourages a palm grip overall but other styles work too. The sensor out the box is twitchy but after a calibration feels perfect so do this for your desired surface because I noticed the difference immediately. Very happy with it so far, but still sticking to my Logitech G900 as my daily driver for my main PC.
most useful video to not jsut set up my mousse but understand the settings and beniftts. im new to your channel as i just found it but will like and sub as you explained litterally everytighng, now will look for a corsair wireleess headset video to see if i wanna get one heee ty
Thank you for this informative review.
Honestly loving this mouse so much! I am just downloading the iCue now to set macros for the mouse as the side buttons are numbers 3 & 4... excited to take it to the next level!
Also super comfy and love the comfort for my hands & fingers
I just bought the SE model of this dark core pro, I have to say I love it. I've had a trusty razer mouse for a few years and i've been looking to clean up my build and go wireless. This is my 3rd mouse and after 1 day of use I will be keeping it. I have larger hands (im 6'2") and it helps with the right side plate for grip. The wireless is extremely good so far, it felt like I just plugged it in like any normal wired mouse, its smooth no jutters or anything so far. The RGB looks awesome with the different modes. I really dont have any complaints about it, the only thing you need to do is see if it fits your hand. I have not tried the wireless charging yet though.
Garrett Fietz how do you turn it on?? I just bought one and no power indicator
Got any issues so far?
No shit.. been using wireless mice in top level eSport since 2012 when the first wireless gaming mouse came out from Razer and even back then, it was without any issues or flaws. welcome back to the future.
I haven't found any unbiased reviews about this mouse, but I was wondering if you can tell me if your scroll wheel is still functioning up to this day? I've read a few posts here and there in the Corsair forums about the scroll wheel being problematic. Are you having issues with this?
what's the difference between the se model and the normal pro?
Late to the party but thx for the review man! Thought the last bit about the greasy fingers was funny af :)
Thanks for this video. I want this, i will start to save for it
I just picked this up on sale for $65, recently upgraded my internals to Corsair products, along with the K65 60% keyboard. Going for all my parts to be under one software, iCue has been good to me & I enjoy the design of their products.
I don't use my mouse much for gaming, but looking forward to adding this to my setup 🙏
Going from a g402 the micro movements are so good and it fits my hand way better
you should have reviewed the SE edition which has a built in QI charger
And I just bought a capetown, im happy with it but im really interested in the 2000hz. Good thing I just got my tax returns yesterday lmao
I'm sticking too my G403
Been using mine for a little under 4 days, coming from my trusty G502 2019 model it was a massive change. My major issue so far is the forward thumb button is a bit far to reach comfortably.
what size is your hand and has there been any problems?
Can you be connected with Bluetooth while using the wireless dongle
I just ordered the rgb dark core pro yesterday. Saw the se had wireless charging, but then I have to buy a wireless charging mouse pad that makes the bill 160 instead. I got the regular pro for 70 and no need to buy a mouse pad, since I have plenty.
Did the unit have a rattling noise on the left click? I bought the same unit and have that issue!
Pinkie support!! SOLD!!
no kidding! so sick of narrow mice causing cramps
Actually thinking of getting this just because of the pinky support
would you recommend it as a must for -$100? I just ordered the SE for $70 on sale but still flip flopping between options
The dongle has been troublesome. Currently having to run corded or bluetooth, Dongle says unavailable even after resetting the mouse, unpairing and reinstalling the dongle.
My corsair glaive's left click button had a life of 2 months. I ordered this one as well. Hope it's not as dissapointing as the last time i got a corsair product
How did it work out for you, now, 4 months later?
Bought the Corsair Dark Core RGB Pro, the cable to use it both as a wired mouse and to charge it turned it on/off constantly and eventually stopped charging it all together (within a year - about 7-8 months before it was unusable). I had the EXACT SAME ISSUE with a Corsair Wireless headset, the cable constantly turned the headset on/off and eventually stopped charging. Can you imagine anything more annoying? Do not bother with Corsair for anything hybrid wired/wireless. Their K70 Keyboards are excellent though.
My desk is big enough for the MM500 and I wouldn't mind a bit more mat space compared to my current HyperX (900x420mm) desk mat, but I can't bring myself to pay AU$70 for it. The MM500 would also make my Acer Predator X34 look too small ;-)
how to fix the bluetooth/slipstream connection issue?
Is 2000hz polling rate work while using mouse wireless?
that pinky rest is goated but i don’t like mice that are even slightly ergo
is it support scroll wheel when at macro ?
how is the battery life on it?
this mouse pad or the qck 3xl from steelseries or the glorious 3xl
Double one factor effecting your performance != Double over all performance
Hey I have this mouse and I was looking on CZcams on how to fix it cause I think I clicked the DPI button on the top and it won’t change at all anymore it just turned white and turned off and now the DPI is slow as hell so please anyone reach out to me and help me
Can’t figure out how to connect the 2.4 ghz wireless help? Tried pairing in software no luck.
First, make sure the wireless dongle is connected to the front of the pc,( if using a desktop). Next look under the mouse, there should be a button that can slide left and right. The middle is for the wired connection and the left is for the wireless dongle. The right is for Bluetooth, if your pc has Bluetooth you can use it. Also to pair the mouse to the dongle it has to be connected via the usb c cable, other wise it won’t pair. It should be in the settings for Corsair I-Cue Software.
Model number? I don’t wanna buy the old one from Best Buy lol
I have TINY hands, currently using the G502 wired. So this mouse will do fine. Thanks for the video :)
Get a Viper Mini, great for small handed people and ultralight
@@tylerplayzz8697 Hi - I bought the Dark Core Pro SE 2 weeks ago and I'm in love with it. It's not heavy at all. Only thing is the battery life is quite cr@p!
@@sk3w430 trust me if you try a light mouse after using something like a G502 or Dark Core, you'll very much notice the difference, I did when I went from a G502 to a viper mini, I main a Viper Ultimate noe
Does it work on a macbook?
I really don't know which mouse to buy... I was going for the logitech, but Corsair launched the Dark Core Pro and now I?ve no idea which one to buy... In your opinion does the Dark Core will be suitable for FPS games due to the high weight or it's better the logitech? Thank's
get the dark core se.
G Pro Wireless or Razer Viper Ultimate, for RGB yes Corsair is better.
go to a store and try some. otherwise get the one that you like the looks of and just get used to it
The dark core is really heavy indeed, but I just removed the battery and now it me perfect, although I don't have Wireless anymore which sucks
Does Wireless Harpoon work with the MM500?
Blanky Yes it does
this is the only mouse i have seen with 2000hz polling rate
Viper 8khz has 8000 hz polling rate
listen if it the mouse is a bit heavy use common sense and remove some of the weights from underneath the mouse? Balance it until it feels just right for FPS games? Besides that excellent review on the Dark Core Thumbs up on the review.........
PS / 2 is instant and on older systems overclocking makes the USB unstable sooo sure if u have a New er system this looks like a killer Mouse.
cute comment
I haven't seen ps/2 connections in almost 12 years..
@@bigyoshi5716 there are more than 1 motherboard vendor still pushing it for both gaming and ofc servers as IT people that work with servers seem to have more need for PS/2 connectors as it is not possible for a system to crash the PS/2 connector like it can crash the USB protocol.
gamers that chose to overclock the frontside buss of there motherboard to get a hardware boost in how snappy games react will also taget hardware with PS/2 however they will find that there are few vendors of PS/2 gamer gear and its way behind in modern day upgrades.
also placing cheats on a mouse or in a keyboard is atm not possible in PS/2 gear as there is less of a data transfer ability compared to usb.
USB is great for the office workplace.
but some direct control over the hardware is lost compared to PS/2.
I have this mouse and it feels worse when gaming wirelessly compared to the mouse being hooked up wired.
ICUE software doesn't help that much either. For me wired feels more natural and smooth compared to wireless where it may not feel as smooth.
I don't play games on my pc, im just buying it for normal pc use just because it looks cool
I have the Dark Core RGB Pro. I love it especially the ring/pinky finger rest but it has one major flaw. the DPI adjust button is right next to the left-click button. the DPI button is huge for something that I usually adjust once and leave it at that setting. I frequently press it by accident mid-game. You can only imagine how frustrating it is when the DPI increases unknowingly and the mouse jets all over the place. I quickly adjust it back but that is a few seconds afterwards. Alot can happen in a few seconds.
Waiting for the Ironclaw RGB Wireless when they come out with a new one with USB-C
Is this mouse get a fast scroll wheel mode ?like Logitech😂
Really though it sucks dog
corsair sells yoga mats ?
CZcams is a lot like Porn.
We skip the first few minutes like second nature.
heavy? this is probably the lightest mouse ive owned by at least half lol
Time to ditch my logitech mouse. I NEED THAT PINKIE REST!
Doesn’t mousepad texture like that collect dust etc
I have had this hyper x big boi mouse pad for a year now the only thing it collects is grim from eating or spilling drinks or not washing you hands and arms every time you touch it. Cleaning once every 2 months is definitely mandatory. Dust is not a problem.
Coleton Butler oh okay thx !
@@WolfieeeTV Taking it out and to clean it is inconvenient, cause it's huge. But I usualy just wipe it down with a damp cloth.
I use a vayakora eco mouse pad.
My logos are red. How can I change it lol
Not sure if you figured it out, but I've heard Dragon Center takes control of the top lights.
Have you tried rebooting the mouse
whenever i turn my computer off the thing kills its battery woke up and it was fucking dead why theres no off switch idfk dumb
1.25x speed
Will this mouse work for PS4? I play FPS mostly
Renzo Robles dude you play ps4 with a mouse? mouse cant not support ps4 only pc if you play it with a mouse your basically cheating and breaking the terms of service
@@BruhBruh-mk5yg Will the mouse pad work as my TV monitor????
corsair ad in corsair product review 6:40. very odd
Perfect mouse but way too heavy!
Start lifting weights.
wireless mice and RGN .... not for me
Absolutely the worse mouse I have ever owned, middle click quit working after 4 months and now the left click is failing at less than
6 months of use.
if ur thinking about getting this, dont. corsair is not the same quality as back in the day. buy a competitor at near same price. had this mouse 2 months and wont charge or turn on, light use i work all week. Spend your money to a company that will value your return on your money. Corsair has been gouged for profit. These products DO NOT last. Google dark core not charging if you dont believe me. Countless threads, most unresolved with a shit out of luck message or forced to pay to return it. My biggest regret in my pc setup is using corsair in modern day.
Wow hardcore shilling. Before the video even starts.
The Rgb dark core was the biggest pain in the ass mouse I've ever had. Disconnects, jumping random directions and terrible connector on the mouse. The software is even worse.
Never owned that mouse but HOW is iCUE bad. I have owned so many Corsair products over the years and most of my PC components and peripherals are from them and I use Corsair iCUE for them and have no major issues with iCUE. I have only ever had one software problem which was due to a problem with Windows and not iCUE which was with my Corsair Void Wireless Pro RGB. I always have the surround sound turned on and was noticing that after an iCUE update the headset sounded trash and after a while of troubleshooting found out that the problem was a new feature Microsoft added to Windows which supposedly adds spacial surround sound to headsets and headphones which did NOT sound like surround sound was on at all and just sounded so bland it was turned on by default I had to go in to Windows audio settings and disable it which fixed the issue.
@@zahidshabir4038 iCUE is great for my keyboard and headset, works great for them. The mouse constantly glitched, figured it was the mouse so i bought a new one and kept the first one as a backup the second one was even worse. out of no where these mice will snap to the top of the screen and it starts scrolling the mouse wheel up at the same time. both did this and would disconnect randomly while gaming, i sit very close to my machine so its not a range issue and i use all corsair products for my setup, as im a big fan of corsair but their mice have been problem after problem. I have switched to a G703 logitech mouse and i love it best mouse ive ever owned.
honestly i think it might be your system. ive had the dark core se for over 6 months now and i never had any of those problems. i just wish it had more rgb on it.
Sounds like a guy looks like a woman
men in 80s this nerd if he see a man with tattoo is gone run to save his life !!!!!! now in 2020 tattoo is on every fucking nerd thanks god for the tech to remove ink )))))))))))
That’s not nice!
"Gaming" this is not a gaming mouse the thing looks like it weighs like 200gs.
some people like a heavier mouse with low dpi
Weakling
it's such a clunky big ugly looking mouse :(
It is intended to be a serious mouse which is also confortable.
Worst gaming mouse ever, nothing but stutters and bad connections.
Bullshit.
@ thanks for the intelligent response. No bullshit. The Corsair mice and keys boards are VERY susceptible to interference. In fact the wireless Corsair keyboard I have interferes with this mouse. I had to buy usb extensions to move the dongles away from each other. It’s a known issue that plenty of people have experienced.
@@defyent I have that mouse and K70 Mk.2 keyboard.
I haven't experienced any issues. I use Dark Core for 1 year, K70 for 3 years. It's the best gear I ever had, much better than Razer, SteelSeries... even my gaming chair is Corsair too.
@ how amazing for you
yep. My dark core rgb pro somehow stopped working even though I tried resetting.
