Honey BBQ Chicken Wings

RECIPE:
Honey BBQ Chicken Wings
Makes 20
Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
20 chicken wings or drumettes
1 cup bbq sauce
½ cup honey
Preparation
1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, chili powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Coat the wings in the flour evenly, shaking off any excess. Place the floured wings on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and spread them out in a single layer. Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway, until skin is crispy and golden brown.
3. Preheat oven to 500°F.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the bbq sauce and the honey. Stir the cooked wings in the sauce and coat them evenly. Place the coated wings back onto the baking sheet and spread them in a single layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes until sauce is bubbly and caramelized. Cool, then serve!

I have discovered that cooking the last 10 minutes on a high temperature oven , tend to burn the wings as the honey is very sensitive to high heat, cook only for 2 minutes

Роман Берла it taste great, I fried mine instead and then put the sauce on after the chicken was done. Try stir frying the sauce with the chicken and added crushed pepper for a punch

I made this when I was 12 and depressed, wanting to have some nice food to cheer myself up but there was nothing so I had to cook. It was probably the first savoury food I could make. Now I’m 20 and learned the general principle to make chicken wings thanks to this, it remains as one of the only things I can cook! Though when I get depressed now, I do the opposite and just stop eating.

Also try adding sriracha to the bbq/honey mix if you'd like a spicy kick. It's amazing.

No, siricha has that sweet flavor to it. If anything it will make it a little sweeter. It won't be too spicy.
