This game gives me flashbacks to that old flash game about launching a penguin into space, and I'm curious as to how many folks know what I'm going on about.
Edit: All of the wonderful folks in replies have reminded me that it's "Learn to Fly" and it's re-released on Steam. Please at least go look at it, it's a classic.
I remember. You hit the penguin with a bat and it bounces off various obstacles (mines and stuff) that would either launch it further out slow it down

Learn to Fly, yeah. This basically is that concept. It's the "repeat the same thing but each attempt gives you more money to spend on things that help you get further" idea.
The third game is available for free on steam. Great stuff!

Honestly, he probably assumed you couldn't boost in the beginning. He thought upgrading the engine made the starting ramp speed faster, the boost was to use after you took off, and the upgrade was just to get more out of the bonus(that one he's correct about lol).
I keep coming back to this video. There's something so satisfying about it. It's like watching old Burnout 3 crash mode content but with less downtime

I just love games that they start off viewing as stupid, and then win them over halfway through, like Arch Rivals did.

This video had me fucking dead. I died of laughter. My parents will have to reunite in order to plan my funeral, and my father will realize that he chose the wrong woman over my mom. He may finally see how wonderful of a person my mom is in comparison, and slowly fall in love with her over time. Meanwhile, my mom falls in love with the funeral director. My father ends up divorcing his wife in order to pursue a relationship with my mom, but she's no fucking idiot. She gets with the funeral director, who is a lovely man I would have loved to call my step-dad. Unfortunately, I am dead. Because of this dumbass video. THANKS A LOT, GRUMPS.

I was watching this while donating plasma and right around 15:05 I began to have a negative reaction to the process, causing me to sweat, go pale, go cold, have tunnel vision, be lightheaded, and dry heave, all while Arin and Dan joked in the background. I imagine it felt somewhat similar to getting in a serious car crash and the radio keeps going.

I feel like trial-and-error is actually the best way to learn how to fly a plane.
Private pilot here. I can confidently say that this simulator was instrumental in my learning short and soft field landings. Couldn’t have passed my check ride without it.

This game is the spiritual successor to all those cool flash games we played as kids. Shopping cart hero, Learn to fly, the bouncy one I can't remember the name of..., the one where you kick that guy, the paper airplane one and etc... man I forgot a lot of those games names

Arin spending the money, even when he finally had the means to get enough to buy the spaceship, is half funny and half "what the hell is wrong with you?!"
I know its basically impossible as I don't know what's different about the game or what the Grumps would do. But I really want a second episode of this because I laughed the hardest I've laughed in a while and I need more of that joy in my life. So, please if you could make that happen I'd be super grateful, if not, you guys still make me laugh every day anyway so, thank you!!

I haven't laughed this hard from a game grump crazy gameplay since Guts and Glory.
Irl, the space shuttle orbiters are pretty much a brick. Those little wings make it more of a glider than anything else. But PERFECT for THIS!!
I genuinely enjoy this video every time I watch it (4 times).
