I was speaking to an Iranian once and he told me before 1979 the Shia Akhunds were hugely respected! 80% of society was religious and 20% was secular. Today 80% are secular and 20% are religious. The Shia Mullahs of Iran have completely ruined it for themselves. When they fall from power (when and not if) the whole region will be glad to see the back of them.

Second, lack of will and motivation. Sure, the killing of Amini surely triggered these protests. However, it's not something which majority of people can associate with. Every revolution succeeds when the general populace is sympathetic to the cause. For Iranian women, it could be an issue but for men, no.
Third and most important that every revolution needs are people who are ready to fight the authorities and die for the cause. And I fail to see anyone here who is ready to use violence if needed and that's why, it will fail.

Very recently they passed another sentence to a teen for preparing food for a political opponent who was fasting for the day.
Since the Western media controls what news should be circulated and looks out for their well-being first and relationship with Saudi.

2 weeks ago. There was a shooting by isis in shiraz, Iran that fired on 16 individuals, 13 dead, at least 2 children.
The same law enforcers died in the protest.
How about the mandatory conscription that men have to serve?
