- Recreating Mercy Street - Peter Gabriel - album SO
A small tribute to a myth of my childhood and to my dear friend Rachel-Z who has played with him for a long time ... just using only Fantom and ZEN-Core internal sounds plus a vocal sample.

Unbelievable! This made me teary.
absolutely superb, one of the finest demos I've seen, and was instrumental in my research of what to finally go with (Nautilus, MODX, or Fantom). I just got my Fantom a few weeks back and it is a total beast of functionality and has the most beautiful sounds from a synth/workstation that I've heard. I debated for months over getting a workstation ( I hadn't owned one since the mid-90's, a Roland XP-60), but I was wasting so much time with Kontakt & Omnisphere (some patches taking several minutes to load), that I had to at least give this keyboard a shot...I'm kissing 80% of my16 TB's of sample libraries goodbye forever. If anything, this demonstrates that one keyboard delivers the goods to flesh out a Peter Gabriel track.
Thank you, bro. FYI, on Roland Cloud you can find tons of additional Expansions and Sounds... and stay tuned for the next updates... all the best for your musical journey
Exceptionally beautiful
OMG !! This song is so amazing !! Another Masterpiece by PG !!
Fantastic
I love my Fantom and this just shows what can be achieved, with talent, on this awesome workstation/synth. You have played this so beautifully that you can feel the original vibe from the album. Simply sublime.
thank you so much Teddy!!!
One of the most beautiful songs ever created played on THE most beautiful keyboard ever made. Well done
Thanks for your comment Marc!
Masterful & beautiful... thank you
Just wonderful. Thanks.
Just got my F6 about 3 weeks ago. Awesome to see people using one of the latest pieces of hardware to cover one of the best songs to come from the 80s (and my personal fav Gabriel tune). Fantastically well done. Now I'm off to go give my Fantom some more love.
This is one of the most amazing step-by-step keyboard cover I've ever seen. ❤. Congrats, bro.
Fantom, my next acquisition!
Thank you so much Nostal! …I’m sure the Fantom will inspire you a lot in your next musical journeys….
@@maxfattori5540 Yes, sir... Thank YOU for sharing such a great work with us.
One more week and I'll finally get mine!
Man this video is amazing. I don't know anything about music, I'm out of tune even when I ring the bell. But always loved this song and the rhythm in the background seem to me something magical that nobody but Peter Gabriel can create or play. So seeing this complex sound texture decomposed in all its layers its amazing to me. Thanks so much!!!
That was awesome all around. Loved the chord textures and chords. I love the Fantom. Sounds amazing.
Great Cover Thanx for sharing
bravo!!!!!!!! well done. !!!! he's tuned higher than 440...- to you 442. it will help pitch when you bring in his Vox
BRILLIANT
Beautiful.
great job
Thank you so much, Mandaprorubens!
My brothers got one. So cool!
Maravilhoso!!
Sounds amazing!!!
amazing job
Great job !
Wow, really nicely done! Where’d you get the full PG vocal track? I have some snippets from a remix app he released it on years ago, but not the whole thing. I’ve always thought this is the one song I’d give up a kidney to have the multitrack for. Just beautiful.
Stunning!!
Where did you get just the isolated vocals?
a friend of mine gave it to me saying ' pls re-create Mercy Street..' . Challenge accepted. ;-)
Wow, awesome! There's just something missing on the solo flute. Some kind of slapback delay on the attacks. I haven't really figured out, what it really is, but IMO it's a big part of the Peter Gabriel sound.
Subscribed - sounds fab ! Are you able to share the scene for this ?
Love how you add specifics how your creation occurred
Muito bom!! Vou tentar fazer no MODX.

Wery.
Excellent ❤
Thank you Sidney!
Very nice! Bass sound is not from EXZ 8 but EXZ 6
great spot Marek... I confirm the EXZ8....apologise for my typo...
@@maxfattori5540 No problem! I observe JP8 Strings sound is from from Preset bank D, this bank D is the same as Supernatural Synth sounds bank from Integra 7, but it sounds better on Fantom! Sequencer on Fantom is a success! My best sequencer was my good old MC50MKII, but now the one on my Fantom 8 is my best one!
@@donmarek8938 Yes, you' are right... the Fantom has higher reso since the sounds are re-created on the ZEN-Core synthesis which has higher resolution. Also the DA converters are quite new on Fantom, with higher resolution (secret...very similar to RME converters, and you can hear that especially on hi freq... )
Where did you get the dholak tone?
it is inside the Fantom, a preset tone...
How did you get the dholak loops
