Homeowner SHOCKED when I FOUND his front walkway HIDING under the lawn

- I knocked on this door when I drove by and saw how overgrown the yard was. The homeowner answered and I offered to clean it up completely free for him. He was stunned at this request and told me he has been struggling to get it cut. So, I got to work and made it look better than when he moved in the home many years ago!

Hi, just was wondering and wanted to ask you something. Why do you keep om leafblowing if you still have to mow and make it dirty again and then leafblow again? Not only is it twice as much work this way, but that thing makes the most (irritating) noise for people surrounding the work site. Just was wondering.. Love your channel! Much love from the Netherlands ❤
Even the neighbors cat had to go check out the yard after you were done.

As someone who let his yard go to shit due to depression and financial issues, it took a lot of work and time to finally fix up my yard. If someone had come to me and done this, I would have bawled my eyes out. Thankfully my yard is no longer a jungle. These videos are incredible!
God Bless you and I am glad you were given the strength to come out of it! God is with you always
:)
That's where mine is at now. I've been a full-time caretaker for three years for my 95 year old gran with dementia and my neighbor won't stop calling the city. I didn't get it done in time last time and the city killed my lawn, garden, all my plants and emptied my porch. I had all the materials to renovate my yard and garden, and lost about $1200 in worm castings and other supplies, including a 100 year old decorative birdcage that was my great grandmother's, hanging from the ceiling, and vintage galvanized decorations used to hide offensive supplies. Got to the house and its all going in the back of the truck. Including paint I had gotten two days prior to repaint the porch deck. I'm still figuring out how to get back at her.
She knows my situation. She has a Better Homes and Gardena house, and her son is a landscaper so she gets her house done for free. She yells across the street if there's a weed in the driveway.
She also got my truck tagged because it sat on the street for two days, and had my car towed because she didn't like it in the court during a snow emergency. It was frozen in and she had it towed while I was at work. I couldn't even move the tires, I had to get a ride. Got home at 1am, car is gone.
Didn't mean to vent, but it's taking a toll. I'm looking into getting a restraining order on her, she's done this to other neighbors too. Two houses have moved because of her.
Hank hill says that a clean yard is a peaceful mind.
The videos may be incredible but you are a wonderful human being.
One of the great things that you do (including the yard) is that you don’t judge the homeowner(s). Thank you for that and for helping people with their yard.

I don't know why I like watching these videos but there's something serene and meditative about helping another human being. You're the man Spencer!!
I agree 150%!
Same here I think just the sounds and the transformation of the yards is satisfying too
They are called ASMR videos. No talking, just the sound of the work being done. I watched a video years ago of a barber giving a man a shampoo and haircut. I only heard the sound of the water, the scrubbing of his scalp, the scissors cutting his hair, and the blow dryer. I couldn’t figure out why I was so sleepy. That’s when I discovered these videos. They really are relaxing!
Sidewalk runners like me thank you for clearing back those sidewalks!
You'll need to run around the neighbours car though. Parked it nicely on his patch in case SB came along & tried to tidy it up!
Didn't know how much I loved watching these transformations. Keep 'em coming!!
As my husband and I age and have health problems, I can understand what a blessing it would be to have someone offer to help. This yard looks amazing and I am sure the homeowner is very proud of his yard.
God bless you Son. My sons used to mow the 85 yrold lady down the lane, her family abandoned her. You are doing God's work.
They mowed her ? Isnt that murder ?

@@joanofarc4103 his first response was most likely "What is this guy's angle?" Because how many people do you know just mowing yards for free w/no strings attached?
I've never seen the way you do the yard before but it makes so much sense. Rather than filling up landfills you toss the overgrowth and dirt right back into the grass where it came from. Cut it up with the mower so it can fertilize and the extra dirt stays where it came from. Genius!
Yeah because having nothing but shredded weeds and dirt laying all over the lawn looks fabulous....
@@SamCM40K ...did you see what the yard looked like before XD. as long as its been mulched it will settle into the soil after a couple days. if you're looking for perfect you might wanna try astroturf lmao
PLUS, it gets EXPENSIVE to have to keep hauling everything to the dump. The constant trips, the cost of fuel to get to and from, it all adds up and it's just easier to recycle the dirt back where it came from anyways. Just make sure there's no dog toys, rocks, metal, etc that might be hiding under the deep grass before mowing, 'cause if the mower blades hit something, it comes flying out and can go through windows, or into the side of a car, the wall of a house, a pedestrian walking by, etc, etc etc. Always point the grass shoot in a safe direction while mowing and never toward a parked car, or window. You'd be surprised how many have gotten broken from something hidden being thrown through them from a lawnmower. I used to have a lawn care business and an employee. Once we were working a big job and my employee was weed eating around the trees. I was on my tractor mowing the deep grass when I caught a rock with my blades, (that I didn't see), and it came shooting out from the back of the deck, went flying past my employee and hit an old trash can that was half full of trash, dead center and folded it in half, knocked it over and the rock kept going, sailing off down into the pasture. I had to keep watching for it to not catch the rest of the field on fire, 'cause of the heat that can be generated from the impact of the rock and my mower blade. If that had hit my employee, it could've killed him, so you gotta be VERY careful of making sure there's nothing buried under the grass before mowing.
@@SamCM40K why so judgmental? Feel better?
...never seen mulching before...?...
