430 Stainless would be great for using in the boat mate, here in Australia we cook the bread dough as a loaf in a cast iron pan and then slice it up and do the same, treacle, molasse, jam, golden syrup or honey are always good, its traditionally called Damper sometimes we put sultanas in it as well but also its just used as bread
That certainly does sound good, I may have to try it that way sometime. I was thinking as well the grill be great to use around the stage/wharf in Williams Harbour, like you suggest should be good around wet/salty environment. We spend quiet a bit of time there, the community is now a ghost town.
After this video, I want one of those grills awesome video. Awesome grill keep up the good work love watching from Alberta also when I get a chance from busy work weeks and I’ll continue to keep watching.

First I have to say I am impressed with the use of the welding face plates and eclipse glasses to view the eclipse. I sure hope you can make it to Alberta in 2044 for the total eclipse out here.

Great video William. We had clear skies for viewing the eclipse here in southern Ontario. Would have loved a burger though as viewing food! Good looking portable grill!

I have one of those grills at least looks the same , works really well and I've had it for I'm guessing 5 years now use it primarily for camping but have used it when we need extra cooking space at home and still looks new . Great day in the woods good food and toutons or gandys (I never heard them called gandys before though) molasses is my favorite on them.
I think I will get a lot of use out of this grill as well, you can easily see its well made. Sure was a great day thank you, food taste so much better outdoors. I forgot to mention the molasses, molasses is my favorite on fresh homemade bread..
The shot with the eversweet margarine in the background made me think of growing up on the island
I remember in my younger days the hard blocks of everysweet, you have to stir your roll oats around quiet a bit to get it to melt ...lol

Those burgers made me hungry. "William jr." was written on the box. Are there 3 generations of Williams? The eclipse was more of a filtered light thing here. My daughters live further south and they had the full show. You have to explain the Xmas tree in April. Thanks for the video. I hope the crab price debacle works out in favour of the fishermen.
Yes that's right, 3 generations of Williams from William's Harbour :) We keep the Christmas tree up in the gazebo as long as we could, be coming down soon now. Yes hopefully they get the price settled soon, the fishing season is short nobody likes to loose any time. Still ice here yet but soon be getting ready for it, looking forward to getting back to Williams Harbour.

@@Biglandtrapper Hey William so how do I send you coffee St.Pauls river is Lower North shore of Quebec about 50kms from lanse Claire had the best sea trotting salmon fishing down there St.Pauls is widely known where the cod trap was invented by George Whitely on Bonney Island let me know about sending the coffee lol

Toutins & gandies are the same, made from bread dough witch is made with yeast. Bannock is made by using baking power which is the biggest difference of the two. Gandies are very versatile, I used them to make breakfast sandwiches with as well, absolutely delicious..

Goose Bay was 85% coverage, the last 15% makes a lot of difference,,,
It's too bad you weren't able to experience the eclipse at 100%. The difference between 98% and 100% was huge. I did't see much difference between 25% to 50% or 50% to 75%, but that last 2% was huge. After the sun started to return the birds started singing like they do in the morning before the sun comes up. It was a really cool experience

Thank you, just white bread dough, most times when we make homemade bread we save a bit of the dough for gandies. You can also buy it here from the local grocery store.
