- 2024! I am back in Woodland, California. The town is a little bit quieter than in 2023.
I still see the traffic light blinking red throughout the downtown, especially on Main Street.

Love Morgan's Mill. Great coffee and live music. 😊 I have family in this town, so it was fun to take a drive this afternoon. I almost moved here, but the price of homes weren't worth the crime rate. Found something less expensive in a nearby county with a lower crime rate. Hopefully it's gotten better there. ✌️❤️
What area did you choose to move to? We used to live in Sacramento but moved to Portland. The crime here isn't worth it. Looking to move back to California...as long as it's Northern & not Southern. Considered Redding, but the summers are worse than Sacramento and no Delta breeze!

I was born in 1938 and lived in Woodland between 1939 and 1954. During that time I lived in four different houses. The town looks more open now. I can't recall if there were any streets to highways wider than two lanes. I recognize some of the buildings on Main Street, and maybe the Court House (?). I would love to return to the town and walk to some of the places I knew. I now live in north-central West Virginia.
