I love how John conducts his interviews. He's genuinely interested, and totally respectful. He listens and soaks up all he can. He's just a good dude.
Couldn’t agree more!
Didnt he interview this guy already??
I'm gay

I've heard this guys story so many times but never get bored going through it all again....dude is a beast
Or a lying crankster
Hes a snitch not a beast lol bet you love cops
My take, too..Never do anything to cost another man his freedom. Snitches are snitches. As such, liars and con men, to a one.
Dobyns days into undercover, “I get shot, I haven’t even been paid yet!”
One of my favorite interviews! I’ve read Jay’s book, too! Two special people right here!!
But how many convictions actually stuck on the hells angels, because of jay?
@@shanewoods1980ALOT
No convictions, total loser
Jon is such a great listener, It really adds to the podcast letting the guests tell their stories
Brilliant interviewer, knows when listen and ask great questions at the right time. Love him ☘️✌🏽
Agreed. John's good. Unlike others that inject themselves into their guests stories to highlight how they happened to have "the same experience".
He needs to lose the wig!
@@209Cynthiawhat wig?
What? He's a f*cking terrible listener. He doesn't shut up!
When his son says the rocks were for him to know he'd be there to help him fight, wow! Brought tears to my eyes.
Hit me hard too.
Thank you Jon for putting the full video on CZcams! Loved the episode. Great work!

Thank you. I try. :)
it's a shame that there isn't a section called "catching the REAL criminals who never spend a day in jail" this crime thing will be with us until the last stone falls.

Suprised this doesn’t have more views. Litterally one of the best interviews ever
This is my favorite episode, recently got Jay's book, and this conversation is so fluent in a natural way
This deserves millions of views ...this is one of the best interviews ever . This can be studied
Shows like Sons of anarchy got me interested in understanding Biker gangs, His work has really helped my understanding
I remember my cousin and a kid that lived up the street got into a fight, and his Dad came out, and basically said the same thing. It made me feel small, I knew at that moment even though his son just lost a fight, that he would become a better person than I would by not having that kind of Dad in my life.
I was a patrol deputy in a central valley California area that was busy for 15 years. I've experienced some scary, traumatic and wild stuff but nothing like Dobyn's career. Policing is linked to sports and the military because of the type of people it attracts. People who like to compete. Once you've been scared out of your wits and know that death can be the outcome, it becomes addictive. The streets get into your blood and "normal" life isn't enough. I think that's why a lot of cops have mental health trouble after retiring. I left because of injury in 2019. I miss it but I've grown into "civilian life" and don't miss the constant stress of today's policing world. To be a street cop today, which is only 7 years since I left, I believe is incredibly more difficult. In the world of social media and everything heavily politicized it's too easy for a street cop to get railroaded in a bad incident that the optics are bad on. The general public doesn't understand the animal of policing and how dangerous and unpredictable it is. They see cops as heavy handed or over zealous in tactics not realizing this is how we are trained. When policing as a patrol officer, a "routine" traffic stop or disturbance call or 911 hangup can turn into a hellish nightmare in a second. Looking back, I really don't believe policing is healthy for most folks for more than 10-20 years. It's a toxic environment at best.
I agree with your statement. & I couldn't imagine being a cop at any point in time, especially today.
My thing is, the constant harassment & assault on our rights and freedoms.
The absurd tickets & subsequent fines. They're complete horsesh!t.
(Not to mention unlawful, although very few know that.. Unless you profit from driving aka commerce, you aren't legally obligated to have a driver's license OR tags to travel in your private property.
OR abide by the nonsense codes and statues.
*It's when you get that license you sign away your rights*
Read Uslawbooks / travel if you don't believe me.
Kinda like how you become financial cattle the second your parents sign your birth certificate, but that's a whole different thing. Anyway)
Pulling people over for not using a turn signal or a light out & doing anything besides making them aware is unacceptable.
It doesn't help keep our community safe. it isn't building good relationships. It is doing ONLY negative things. Besides for you guys, putting $ in your pocket. You'd think taxes & selling all the stolen property from people would be enough but.
Nope gotta also steal time and money from people that worked for it.
(People also aren't aware PDs and courts are their own companies. & Judges have their own little clubs essentially. Everything's a fkn racket)
Asking where we've been, where we're going. What's in the car. Absolutely none of your business. If we're not causing trouble or even affecting anyone else's lives, damaging property etc.
Police should mind their own business. There's PLENTY of corrupt officials & evil companies doing unspeakable things, poisoning our environment, putting toxins in every consumable.
But nope! Gotta harass & rob the average guy, while all the actual demons conduct their business with impunity.
& I'm not putting a blanket on all cops either.
there's a lot of great men and women that are one.
It's the people at the top making the evil decisions. & Always will be.
BUT until they have robocops, the unjust laws and rules cannot be enforced UNLESS the patrolmen do it for them. (& There's way too many that choose their job over what's right)
lord knows these bums never do their own bidding or get their own hands dirty.
Ok that's all I had to say lol. Hope you were one of the good ones, fellow Jeff
Just wanna say thank you for your service, despite all the bs politics and general consensus of police, i believe most of you guys are putting your life on the line and truly want to protect and serve. I cant even imagine to understand what it's like being in the lines of danger on a day to day basis.
Its been my belief for a long time that people generally think of violence in a slowly escalating process where you inch towards violence in some sort of stepped process. The reality is if you go into that situation and they go straight to step ten and you went from step one to two then you end up dead. Your only real choice is to go to zero to ten faster or hope they only go from one to five, but police are prevented from doing so by social expectations which makes the role inherently more dangerous the less the public trusts in policing agencies.
@@jeffmiller3499you didn’t need to waste time typing all that. All you had to say is you’re a sovereign freak show. “I’m NoT dRiViNg I’m TrAvELliNG.” 😂😂😂 “iT’s A vEsSaL! NoT a VeHiClE!” 😂
Those looking for a fight aren't as prepared as those ready for a fight.
I'm glad i found this channel today! You are a great interviewer
Jay we have a common friend in Sweden that helped me out of the Angels. Respect you as well as Jon
Solid interview, good job putting all of this together!
Unlike Vlad who's the worst interviewer with his ih okay stupidity this John is a wonderful interviewer and his genuine interest and admiration and great questions are terrific. Thanks John!
I’m amazed how I’m intrigued I am by this story great interview and I just subscribed never knew John had a podcast I’m here for it !!!
Yet another amazing episode! Excellent job Jon!
Incredible interview! Thanks for putting this out. Lots of wisdom here.
As a biker myself, i loved the book. I loved learning about the man. And this might be one of the best interviews with Jay Bird. Great content!
He's a Fcukin Narc
Wow just an awesome interview and a great informative presentation!
Mr. Bernthal, this podcast episode KICKS ASS!
I became aware of you and your career via the series The Walking Dead and became an official fan after watching your work on The Punisher.
Keep up the good work, exercise a modicum of humility, be grateful for what The Great Creator has blessed you with and you will continue to KICK ASS!!
Right on brother, good shit!
Celebrities don't read comments, lol......
I can't do anything but say that your sincerity Jon keeps me sane and knowing I'm living in the real world
Much respect and love to Jay Dobyns for sharing about his life and the hardships that came along with it. Great interview Jon!!
Great interview. Thank you to both
I asked john to release full episodes and he did just that My man!
This was a awesome podcast show thank you to both of you guys..
John I’m blown away from sitting on a jail bench to running your own interviews I’d love to see you do an interview with Dr Jordan Peterson
The fact he kept the shirt, to show it during his story. What a legend.
Would think that doing interviews would only keep it fresh in the minds of the hell's angels and increase the chances that they continue to come after him
I love every one of your podcasts brother! I’m manifesting a interview on your show one day and can’t wait to talk about some real shit🙏
Thank you Mr Bernthal. Jay Dobins has all the balls. Great interview. You asked all the questions I wanted to ask.
Only a very special person can do this work like Jay did it. I couldn't follow through after , I formed a great bond with a guy. Thats Brutal... What an understanding fambly too! A good woman keeps us in check. Its a Hella balancing act... Great interview Bro Matt

Abolish the ATF
Why? Seems like a terrible idea.

Quote that comes to mind when he’s discussing the notes out on him and his family. Some of the realest stories I’ve ever heard on the Mike Drop podcast and on this
Incredible story. Good job.
Football shaped my life so much , love the fact my kids both enjoy the sports also. U guys are great! Love
Best one yet man that dude is so inspirational
His story with his Dad is why we need more fathers in the home and in our society. Masculine stoic men need to teach our children to become men and not soy emotional weaklings.

Enjoyed Listening Jay
Jay Dobbins, betrays family, betrays club, turns around and sues the ATF. Super loyal dude. Definitely a "real one."
Lol yes, but he's different now, he just had to make a million mistakes, it was his "job"
Excellent interview.
The three interviews with George Christie, Mel and Jay have been very interesting understanding both sides and there's much they haven't said.
Another great interview..
Awesome interview
Top interview great talk thanks for sharing this💯👍
One of the best interviews I've ever seen, even though I'm usually trying to learn from academics, almost like lecture material. The interviewer's manner of interest goes a long way, but the content was next level
Fingers crossed for a series where Jon plays a role inspired by Jay's story. I'd binge watch.
Had no idea about this Podcast. Time to go down the rabbit hole
I can just see this story playing in my head as he’s telling it!!
This made my day. thank you.
I been waiting on this
Heard or better yet “ read” what Jay did undercover … just incredible … how he can be normal after how far he went under and into his role is just incredible … good life and cheers Jay … your truly incredible to me … 🤙
Jon asks the PERFECT questions.
This is a great channel.
Sounds like my father. I had a similar experience like Jay and Football was the perfect outlet for me too. Our fathers grew up very tough and watched Butkus, Bednarick, Nitschke play football. Holy Shit...Imagine Jay and Pat Tillman in ASU at the same time!! I'm getting the book. Matt
This guy’s a legend in his own mind nothing stock, not one conviction stock
Jay, Bill Queen,,, both employed by the feds to live a life of lying and creating crimes when they were unable to witness any.
Absolutely, a complete scumbag
Jon you should definitely try to do a series based on jay infiltrating the angels. Im a Harley rider( no club) doing work for Taylor Sheridan on landman in TX right now
Wonderful interview I loved to quote he said his son had to teach him his job
Such a great episode
I love his interviews !
Just rewatched his interview with Pat Mcafee from like 4 or so years ago. Great interview back then too, glad to see Jay gettng another round of interviews, this and vladtv
To be a good assistent / help or right hand to the one in charge is an important role to have. I allways use that mindset when im cooking with my wife🙏🏻🙂
Read his book a few years ago.
True badass!!!
What's up Jon.Good stuff..✝️✝️
I wanted to Post saying I will be following the
podcast of your most recent guest on spotify
What a fascinating guests that was terrific. I watched a couple of his interviews now, and I'm not sure I understand exactly why his relationship with law enforcement colleagues deteriorated as badly as it did.
I’ve been following Jay Dobyns for a LONG time, and I’m a HUGE fan of Jon Bernthal. There was NO way I was going go miss this video. I just feel silly I never saw this till now.
This is a great interview. God Bless Jay Dobyns. I’m glad Fast and Furious is discussed in this interview- Believe it or not, a lot of people don’t know about this. R.I.P. Border Agent Brian Terry .
He's so undercover his shirt blends in with the flowers in the background.
Love these episodes. But the frequency of the micro ads is insane. Less breaks, but longer duration would be much better.
One of the best interviews I’ve ever seen….Amazing story! The corruption is so wide spread that it’s on both sides of the fence and it looks more and more like the supposed to be bad guys take care of their own while the supposed to be good guys (ATF) good guys didn’t really back their guy up. I give Jay a lot of dam credit 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
First Jon, let me say, you are one of my favorite actors.
Now the bad part. You say it’s an honor to meet Jay and it’s an honor to meet George. Can you explain how those two statements can both be true?
Thanks man
John's hair is crazy and I love it
Tell George Christie you said it was an honor to meet this ATF agent
I'm at the beginni g of the story and I'm already love it ... Fathers lessons, wish that i could have such patience hahahah
Why the hell didn't I know Frank had a podcast!!!! Literally in love with him lol.
Hey jay dobyns that dam Miami Vice got me too..😅 i was under for 4 1/2 years. Went to school with "Uncle Charlie Fuller " in merdian. Very thankful to ATF for that. Saved my life serveral times.
Definitely worth listening!
Jay was at a Illinois drug enforcement officers class in Peoria il years ago. It was horrible how the government let him just hang out there. Thy knew had knowledge of hits in him and thy didn’t even follow them up. I’m glad he’s still around. He was upset at the conference when some officers went out and some bouncers tried to rough them up. Stand up guy here. He stood up for the officers.
Cause he did a terrible job 81 knew he was a cop Jay Dobyns is not a legend, you do know he never was a full member and lied right? You have to know a member for atleast 5 years before even becoming a hangaround then that takes 1-2 years then when become prospect that takes 2 or more years before being a member, and he says he was a member in 2 years! Its all bullshit, 81 mc members have said he never patched in, even ex 81 mc members say it to, no undercover cop has ever become a full member in 81 mc, even watch Peewee interview on CZcams on Vegas profile stories he talks about it, Jay Dobyns is a fraud and a liar
Jay's got a BALLS....you can't teach that.
Pat Tillman and his Brother Kevin had Balls like that (as do many Soldiers, sailors, Marines, military & some police). Amazing 👏 story. Matt
