produced with: E-Mu SP-1200, AKAI S950, loads of vinyl records - Hudba
bruh if you were making these beats in the 90s you would have been on everyones album this shit is str8 heat
Snuff Daddy thanks fam!
If they only had youtube back then... :o
Foreals. I could see a tribe called quest on this joint!
@@downtoearthent.9349 Sounds more like something Black Moon or Artifacts would get on
@@Aardvarked88 I was thinking Black Moon too! definitely could hear Buckshot on this
In my head I hear Prodigy and Havoc killin this track......
definitely a havoc snare
This beat specifically sounds like an East Coast beat produced somewhere between 1993 -1995, like it just screams of that particular time and place. Now we just need someone who can rap over it in an equally authentic way.

Joey badass
Def see this and Big L(RIP)
nah late 1994-1997
that OG ditc sound... snare rolls at 7:35 ish are insane
I could hear herb mcgruff smoking this one
This is actually a history lesson. Beautiful.
Rufusdos thanks alot man, glad you dig it!
TOTALLY!!
Word
Big L “Street Struck” vibe. The lost art of hardware and boom bap ain’t dead
SickAssNick thanks man
Holy shit man, u took me back to my elementary school years with the SP1200. Hip Hop sorcery indeed. Salute👍🍻
💯💯💯
It's a shame we've 'moved on', sampling was much more than mere theft, it opened us up to new genres, educated us of artists past, passed torches and revived careers (in some cases even got long overdues paid), it's a huge missing piece in todays bleak empty beats imo
Money bro. Money got everything twisted. The lack of sampling, the same sounding beats, all the way down to the dumb down lyrics. Money killing the art
splice is dope for sampling still
Yeah, i use splice mostly for drums.
It's become a tad trickier to just pull up any old vinyl and start sampling off the fly bc major Labels now know that there's money to be made in that area so now Producers avoid sampling as a whole or..... go to websites like "Tracklib" and 'e-Dig' for samples. You pay a small fee for the License then the website takes care of the rest. I personally use samples from anywhere BUT if I try to make a small profit from the Instrumental outside of "Tracklib" or similar?, I make it CLEAR in contract that whoever purchases the Track that they are to sort out Clearances with all Label &other parties
All depends what genre you listen to. Sampling is still very much alive in a lot of non-mainstream genres!
This my friends, is just porn to us gear geeks
Dam 😎
Dam Yeah I need new shorts 🥴
The "echo" on that horn sample surely sounds simply spectacular.
I'm gonna need a hundred more of these by next Tuesday.
BluntforceJ possibly not gonna happen, but i will try my best😁
Nice profile pic
OMG Myspace!
Truth! Churning em out like mad.
Not even a "thank you" at the end of the request lol😂😆
Incredible!! You beat makers/producers are like magicians. To be able to listen to an old record and transform them into such amazing tunes is such an skill. Hats off to you and everyone like you. Loved it. Thanks.
First break beat come from here: "Brian Auger's Oblivion Express - Foolish Girl"
Thanks man!
I watched this in high school 3 years ago and it kick started my process of learning to make beats, I owe so much to you and CZcams for recommending this :)
Love these videos. I just got an SP-1200. Once I learn it, I’m going to make the music I always wanted to make. Thanks for the inspiration. Keep making them 🔥beats. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
Excellent man, this is a lost art with only few keeping it true. That horn echo reminds me of the “master ace-born to roll” horn
Ivan Chaparro thnaks ivan!
10/10 BEAT!!! Good job on that fx - it changed the whole vibe of the beat. Btw, I think that it would have sounded slightly better with the reverb on that snare! Well done. Expecting more - I truly enjoyed watching it!
Mixla thanks yo! i used a gated reverb on the snare which sounded better to me (and saved me some sampling time on the SP) than the original reverb from the sample itself :)
@@ChiefRugged love the snare tho
Good thing it isn't your beat.
instablaster...
This is hip hop!! No software no store bought midi loops just a sampler and vinyl !!!!
No body tell him that samplers run software lol
I know what you mean. No DAW needed.
The speeding up to save memory is genius. Beautiful work bro!
Thas how the black man did it back in the day
I'm catching the Buckwild and Lord Finesse vibe
Reminded me of A Tribe Called Quest, if they still made hiphop like this Id prolly still listen to hiphop.
me to
@@djflakoelmonstruo9908 hehe, I wrote that before checking out his social media links....check out his soundcloud account, heaps worth listening to!
not a computer screen/ keyboard in sight ! dope AF !

Sublime the essence of Hip Hop right here
Nath Jones thanks nath! glad you dig it!
That is EXACTLY what real beat making is about. Hardware, hands on the buttons and truly working with the gritty sound as it all began. Rock solid, keep it up!
I really enjoyed watching this video filled with nostalgia, creation, and life. That whole room looked awesome. Very inspiring and enlightening!
thank you very much😎
All the New York rappers from the 90s should be trying to get in touch with you!
Sputz3 tell them!
Amazing! Thanks for taking me back. Sounds great and I'm blown away by the creativity you showed in the process. The beauty of the art is in the making, So dope!
When I watch your videos, I always think in the beginning that your drums don't knock, but then by the time you just begin to lay down your melodic samples I can't stop bopping my head. Excellent stuff dude. You have a great ear and a super fluid workflow.
First Name Last Name thanks man
that bass "slide" in the main sample is so smooooooth,
The all track reminds me the D.I.T.C producers dark atmosphere
Awesome work, keep it real G !
respect from France
the swing and multilevels the best keep secret...
the best way to keep it real, from the underground djs to the mcs...real hiphop back!!!!
that actually blew my mind, this is why i love sampling!
Fantastic work sir. You bring it RIGHT back. It feels like I'm watching Buckwild or Lord Finesse make a beat in 94. Excellent!!

Oddly, this just gave me a whole new appreciation for sampling. 🙌🏾💯🔥
90’s sound to the fullest. Damn good bro. Def picture Artifacts, Lord Finesse and Lords of the underground rhyming over this.
first drum break in the beginning was sampled in an atmosphere song “ the bass and the movement”
Life happens man glad to see things are going well. Welcome Back!!!
This is so good man. Whatever you do, please keep making these man. A breath of fresh air!
thank you, appreciate your comments!
This feel like a 1995 classic🔥
You always inspire me to do some real boom bap thank you man
glad to inspire you!
This beat give me all type emotions. It’s hard af but damn I miss this era of hip hop.
sweet gear man! I love the beats you been putting out lately keep it up! Chief
main sample kind of reminds me of beatnuts' "hit me with that"
this is great stuff, i especially enjoyed it when you got that extra sample for more effects/background
SHAO 73O thanks yo! I can hear the similarities!
Reminds me of early Dj Krush. Dope man.
Smooth like butter
Slick like Rick
THIS IS THE DEFINITION OF BEAT MAKING
another hardware sampler champion, love it. loop decay 12 bit glory!
Very instructional and inspiring! The loop in the sample was crazy! Dude, you need to make videos more often!
Antoine Ton That thanks man! i’ll try my best to upload more frequently:)
FIRE 🔥 🥵🥵🥵🥵😭👍🏽 I love the 90’s beat.
Just sat here and watched like 5 of your videos man you taught me allot and your beats are dope!!!
Always reminds me so much of Pete Rock... keep sharing these videos -- love it! Bringin' back the golden age of hip-hop!
thats nice to hear, thanks alot!
Big Respeck never knew how it was done back then real smooth and easy like. The SP was a critical piece in the rap game. Peace BooooooomBox!
Man dude is using the old school all the way micro verb and compressors wow.
thanks for watching!
foxybrown2 i use a Real 808.
@@SPAZZOID100 have fun sampling into that chief.

This is awesome man - keep up the great work, inspiring!!
thanks!
Back to the classic 💥💎
yessir!
You have the most subtle but original editing skills
thanks alot man! thats what i’m trying to deliver😎
Bro, this is so sick!!!
Man, the swing on that SP is legendary.
I hear Keith Murray on this!
Nice man love seeing people stay true to this list art form! So many sample packs out there everyone has gotten so lazy with type beats 😣
thanks fam!
It’s great to watch, no doubt.....clearing samples can be a costly pain in the ass (as I understand it) too bad though, the end results is a work of art....imagine if a painter had to clear the rights to “blue”
Once again: true vinyls + true samplers + skills = TRUE HIPHOP !!!
yo this was sick my dood, keep it up!
Only dope stuff on this channel
This beat is great
Nuclearcore Skeletness Guerrilla Republik thanks yo!
I feel like an SP is as close as you can get sonically to running something through an Analog Consoles circuitry. Like a big ass SSL or Neve.
I guess they have similar designs though the 1200 is a hefty machine. signal warmth combined with bit-crushing.
Would love to spend some time with one to say the least.
I love these videos man keep them coming!
will do!
My GOD this is some serious 🔥🔥🔥
Subbed. 👍🏾👍🏾
15 people are mad that this beat sounds better than anything they made on Pro Tool
entire lootpack album was produced on one of these
Give us Da Antidote!
nice beat man. the little FX at the end of the sample change the whole beat. It brings life in this joint
Hip hop at its finest you learn something new everyday thank you for the lesson champ ..
