  • GloWormRecording is a high end studio complex in Glasgow City Centre. It's an inviting and creative space equipped with everything you need to make an amazing recording, from SSL console to U47 microphones this is a great space for making great records.
Studio 1 is a large tracking and mixing studio with room to facilitate a whole band playing live. The control room is built around an SSL AWS 948 Delta Analogue Console, Barefoot MM27 Monitoring, Burl Mothership A/D conversion and a high quality selection of outboard. The studio is flooded with natural light in the control room, and has large windows to the first of 3 isolation booths on the left, and a large live room on the right, allowing significant line of sight for live tracking.

Looks like a great studio that mate! If I weren’t in London I’d love to use the space for my mixing engineering! Just struggling to get clients through the door though as I’ve not long started to get business. Been learning and practicing for years now and ready to make this my job/main income. Do you have any advice on trying to get business as a mixing engineer? I’m trying to create relationships with bands and producers/recording engineers, but haven’t outright asked them if I can work with them/or if they ever farm out mixes or need to due to workload.
