I've been looking for a couple of days for a video on how to do exactly this and went through so many long winded and drawn out videos that didn't really help much. Yours just hit the mark. It worked perfectly for the project I was trying to do. Thanks for taking the time out to share this with us. THANKS.
go to the frame you want the object to start following the path, and set a keyframe for the evaluation time at 0. then, go to the frame you want it to stop following the path/stop moving, increase the evaluation time to something that roughly fits the general movement (I just use something simple like 100 or whatever fits the scale of my scene), then set another keyframe for it. after that you just mess around with the "frames" slider (this is how many frames it will take your object to travel the course of the evaluation time) until the speed of the object is to your liking (or if you're having a character follow the path, adjust it until the feet don't look like they're sliding across the ground as it walks). hope that helped
the part where the arrows are smaller than noted before… half of me and Blender lol. like, why is this happening now. then i have to force my brain to move on and maybe come back later.
Hi there, what if you have an object that is grouped to locators? For instance I have a spaceship, with different boosters that need to turn individually, what would you do?
Thanks for the vid. For future vids, the keypresses are pretty freaking jarring. Like I'm calmly listening for you to talk then BAM. That's pretty aggressive man. I mean, get er done, but maybe listen for it in your future edits. It's not fun to listen to.
tutorial actually starts at ~ 4:50
Ty
you save me.
LEGENDS RESPECT U
HEY GUYS: if you reset rotation and scale and location(alt R/S/G) AFTER targeting path, it might fix your issues!!!
Under rated comment!!
Thank you!
Life safer! Ty!

Why are you so aggressive when pressing a key?
