- The nation said goodbye Tuesday to former first lady Rosalynn Carter. Family, friends and dignitaries were in attendance for the service at the Glenn Memorial Church in Atlanta. Mark Strassmann has more details.

She came across as a kind, classy gracious, pleasant woman, but she also had the quality of being a humanitarian, with integrity. I think JImmy Carter was fortunate to have her as a wife.
I even remember a story, when Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalynn, were President and First Lady, that their daughter, Amy, once was rolling skating around in the White House. 😅

She was such an inspiration to THIS small town Georgia girl. Her work on mental health reform, on the legislation that was later cancelled, was truly insightful & it's a shame Rosalyn & Jimmy didn't get a second term to make sure it was enacted.
I'm not a religious person but if there is a heaven, surely she is there.

Even though I would not agree with her political position, I have great respect for Rosalynn Carter who knew what grace and dignity were. I was impressed the fact before she passed away made sure that Melania Trump was invited to her funeral. What different from the McCains and Bushes.
