The concept of the triad is very much the same as the charmed ones. They are strongest when together that is why they needed to separate them in order for piper to freeze and once 1 of them was killed, by piper can effectively blow up one of them. Same with the charmed ones, when all things fail they summon the spell of power of 3 will set us free that creates an impenetrable forcefield for the charmed ones. I guess when all 3 triads are together piper wont be able to blast them.
Prue is technically the strongest as she can double herself and use her telekinetic powers in both bodies. Piper became the strongest after Prue's death. As she can control any molecules. She can freeze an entire block with her powers. Or She can melt or blast anyone, anything with just a flick of her hand. Something her sisters can't deflect. Not even Prue. Plus, she can kill low and mid level demon. Paige is stronger than Phoebe because she have an active power, but Phoebe can match her using Levitations and Spell. But if Phoebe remained an Empath, she'll be stronger than Paige.

lsaturn01 Yes, Paige is strong in her on right, but not stronger than Piper. Orbing was hardly an offensive ability, despite it working on others. And, though, her Telekinetic Orbing evolved over the course of the series, Piper was ultimately the only sister, who had an offensive ability that could out right vanquish demons without a vanquishing spell. And people forget that Piper’s powers evolved both in the show and the comics, where she was able to vanquish upper-level demons with a couple of blasts from her Molecular Combustion ability. In terms of raw power Piper’s the strongest, just like Prue was the strongest when she was living.
@@HanA-cw9tx actually with her empathy powers Phoebe is probably the strongest because as we saw before she was stripped of her powers she was able to channel other people's powers by tapping into their emotions like she did to Piper in vahalley of the dolls she used her exploding power against her. In other episodes she uses empathy to channel the demons and uses their own powers against them and without being corrupted herself.
I do find it silly how one of them just runs after Phoebe. Not that it would change the outcome of the fight, since Piiper and Paiges plan would still work, but it was kind of stupid.

This was by far a more interesting fight than the one against Billy and Christie in the finale. Smarts and strategy instead of just standing there shooting jets of fire and lightning at each other.

We never truly understand pipers freezing power because we see throughout that there are some demons who don't freeze at all and some who go in slow motion like the triad. Perhaps they never explain how much pipers powers have truly grown over the years. Who is to say that maybe at this time she would have been able to freeze zankou.
Depends on the strength of Piper and the demon. The stronger the demon, less she could freeze him. In this case she didnt freeze them, rather they went slow motion. Its also last season, so Piper is stronger. She probably would not be able to freeze them in Season 2 at all, not even slow motion. Now she can.

jesus000 Yes some of it has to do with Piper's freezing power "Strength" but it also depends on if demon is "Upper level" which means they can fight off the freeze when she freezes them. And so are just immune to it from the beginning.
I think the Triad should have hidden themselfes in the manor and listened to the Charmed ones plan how to vanquishing them then they could have found the way to avoid what they have planned
@SameBoy817 Not Really, the only reason is that the Power of 3 spell is used as a barrier, it can deflect any type of attacks (Wyatt, Elders, Tribunal - Anyone's attacks) however it can't really be used offensively since it is not made to kill someone, but for protection. The spell can also be used to kill warlocks in close proximity.
One of the best scenes. Reading other post.... The reason they need the triads fireball to kill the other is they are to strong to kill. They are like the charmed ones kill one it hurts the collective power between them. That's why piper could blow him up
Actually Holly, Alyssa, and Shannon forced the writers to sign a contract that "The Power of Three Spell" would not be used a lot. In fact, it was only used like six times through the entire series.
I only remember it being used 4 times. The pilot, once in season 2, when all the demons that they vanquished came back, in season 4 and then in finally, in season 7 when they were fighting Zancur.
Yeah, i remember 4 times too. The first one to vanquish Jeremy, the last of season 2, to vanquish the Dragon Warlock, in 4x21 when all the sisters are trapped in the cage during the ceremony of the Seer and in 7x22 to regain trust in themselves and get the book back to vanquish Zankou 🤷🏻♂️
They needed one triad guy vanquish before piper's explosion powers could take effect on the other members of triad. It is said that they are like charmed ones. Strongest when they are a collective. Easier to kill when one member is killed.
But in the later seasons Phoebe barely even used her powers or do any fighting except create a spell and throw a potion. Compared to piper and Paige she was just the third witch who just had to be there to complete the circle. Hell even Billie and Christie used their powers and they were only on the show for one season. Had Phoebe actually used martial arts in this scene or did anything but run and jump to avoid a fireball she would’ve been more useful. The writers didn’t do any justice with Phoebe after they decided she should lose her powers

The writers gave her one the best powers but they made her use it only a couple of episodes
I love Charmed so much and despite all the recent dramas and things we now know about what really happened behind the scenes and why the show turned out the way it did I still love it. All that to say I guess this is what Rose McGowan was talking about when she said that Alyssa Milano didn't want to do this shit anymore all the extra work I love Alyssa I do but she should have been either forced to do the work or been kicked off
If you'd ask me, the triad isn't as nearly as strong as the Charmed Ones no matter their demonic powers.. See how their collective fell GREATLY when ONE triad was vanquished? It fell so much that before one was dead, they were ''invincible'' but after the one died, Piper was able to blow him up, while her power couldn't kill other powerful demons such as Zankou. Even if one of the Charmed Ones were dead, they wouldn't be that weak..
She was able to blow up Baleil because the collectyve got weakened and how Piper and Phoebe would be able to call upon the power of three if there were only two of them that would not make any sence besides Candor was pretty tough even without Asmodeus and Baliel the loss of one charmed one would effect them deaply because they care about each other they are sisters
+Isaturn01 The Source was trying to seduce Paige into becoming evil, not kill her. Which proves my point even more, that on their own, they're powerful witches. Leo did watch over her and guide her, but I wouldn't say save. Cole lost his powers early in season 4 and then became the Source after episode 13, so I wouldn't say he was saving them, either. Paige caught up really quickly seeing as her sisters have had their powers for 4 years already. Yes, they used the power of three to kill the triad, but we don't know for sure that they needed to. If Cole could kill them by himself, then I'm pretty sure they could've done the same. The first time they fought the Triad, all Paige had to do was deviate the fireballs back at them and they would've all been dead. The second time, they used the Hollow, but to me that was unnecessary, and the third time they used potions, which one of them could've thrown all three at them.
@Isaturn01, The Charmed Ones are the most powerful witches to ever walk the Earth, how would Billie and Christy contest them? Grams would be able to destroy them with the flick of her hand. As for the Source and Triad, all that was needed is for someone to deviate their attacks back at them and Paige could do that to all three. Yes, they are Charmed Ones, but it DEFINITELY doesn't require all three of them for all the demons they kill. Grams has killed plenty of demons in her time and we even see in Witchstock when she was young, she killed a very powerful upper level warlock who had the ability to stop time by turning him into flowers. Piper and Paige in season 5 turned the immortal demon into a tree. One spell and they can turn any demon into anything they want.

@vaggos013 ermm piper and phoebe never sed tried to vanquish shax together it was just phoebe on her own and then piper and prue, and the fact it worked tha second time cant be assumed to be because of prue because prue even sed the spell needs more than 1 witch to have its full effect. As for the strongest charmed one, in my opinion its obviously piper and when u tlk about 'general power' i would say its all equal among the charmed ones.
The show many times shows to us the 3 sisters, the older-the middle-the younger (who changed "roles" after Prue's death) and that power goes : 1st>2nd>3rd. Of course these 3 supposed to be the most powerful witches and with P3 have huge power. But between them powers r 1st>2nd>3rd. Also the middle-sister always brings the balance & stability between the older and younger sisters.
I like the original triad in terms of how mysterious they were. And dark with the black eyes. But I love how these guys feel like a bunch of villains rather than antagonists. They were underused and I would have preferred if the writers had used the council in later seasons. And if Prue had stayed. And if Leo had died just like Andy. But I love all of charmed.
Poor Phoebe.. all she did was run. If she has the astral projection, it could have been useful. She could appear behind the triad and load one of them with psychic reflection or emotions which I believe demons could not stand human emotions and could stun or kill. I mean shes a psychic. Hmmmm
Plot amour....Piper could never blow up the Triad and since when is 1 fireball strong enuff to Vanquish a upper level demon...the we Stronger together line was BS too they were still in the same building just a few feet away from eachother same as Phoebe was away from her Sisters...the Triad has the Power of Temporal Stasis and Molecular Desparsion which is like Pipers Freeze and Blow up Power but way Stronger they could have easily killed the Charmed ones...this was just for the sake of the Story.

Look about Shax...when Cole made the world without Paige (with the avatar power, i hope u remember the epsd) we saw Piper hunting Shax and trying to find a way to kill him, so if she &Phoebe could killed him they would have done it. Shax's vanquish spell supposed to need the P3. But we saw Prue and Piper killing him.
I actually agree! I love Piper and her power is AWESOME! but to be honest it doesn't always work i mean look at the episode where she tries to blow up that big beast and it doesn't eve phase him! Prue's powers were more efficient and consistent and she had martial arts.

Piper has an exploding active power and we saw its revolution with the passing of years. Prue's power would be more powerful..see the ep. when they travelled in future (when Phoebe was in danger of execution). Also in all first 3 seasons Prue appears to be the strongest, after her death the total P3 changed and Piper had most power than the other 2.
I agree that they shoudln't have brought the Triad back. I didn't have a problem with Barbas always coming back. As a matter of fact, I think they should have made him the ultimate big bad of season 8 instead of the stupid Jenkins sisters.
He was a demon of course it was easy for Cole to vanquish them in seconds to the charmed ones took longer as they need a plan to do it without getting themselves killed in the process.
They actually were VERY powerful, its just that by that point Piper's power had grown to the point where she could freeze or blow up powerful demons. They actually say earlier in the episode that she couldn't freeze them for long and they were clearly starting to move. As for blowing one up vanquishing the first one weakened the other two and note it took three hits where it usually takes Piper ONE. Unless a demon has the power to reconsititue themselves (and some do) that power tends to work on them.
Actually Zankou and the Source could reconstitute themselves. Piper DID try to blow up the Source in the Seer's vision remember??? As for Billie Piper DID freeze her while she was infected with that virus. It was the only thing that saved her life though it might've worked because she WAS infected with the virus. However the Wiki lists it as an advancement on her power her freezing the Triad here. Remember Upper-Level demons used to not freeze??? That one they killed with Bane didn't and so did most of the other demons they've fought over the years who were Triad level or close.
Actually they froze all the way they just started adjusting quickly. Upper-level demons do that all the time on the show. The Triad was just quicker given their high level of power.
Out of all, Paige is the strongest sister. When she's about to get attacked she could just orb, and she can telekentic orb things, such as POWER SOURCES atht grant EVIL POWERS! Even though Leo, Wyatt, and Leo can orb too. Paige will be the strongest to me ♡
Well, Prue was the strongest and then it came down to Piper. That's the whole prophecy of The Charmed Ones. The eldest is the most powerful and strongest. And considering how Piper can also use her blast as a defense at this point, I doubt she needed to orb to get out that situation. 😂

They killed the Source of all evil (at that time the Seer) and many demons with that spell, while she was trying to kill the girls with her powers (watch the video and u ll see). But ok i understand its a show and they had to do new things.
This was so cool the way they used their powers! I wish they'd developed Phoebe's in the same way...she could have had some awesome physic powers instead of that silly levitation power they gave her.

But the enemy outside the cage (Seer/Source) could kill them, that's why she attacked them. If the outside person couldnt use magic too, the Seer/Source wouldnt attack. When she attacked they said the "p3 spell" and kill her and the other demons. But i say again there is not logical explanation bcs it was a tv show and they had to do new things.:)
When we say more powerful witch we don't refer to the personal power (telekinisis, time freeze, exploding...). We refer to the power that the witch has general. Phoebe for example could have been more powerful than the others if she was first, even with her "non active power". Prue as the older one is the most powelful sister despite that telekinisis doesn't kill imediately. Her power/energy can do more damage or can be more effective with a spell than the other 3 sisters. Remember Shax again.
About what u say.... the first, i also said they call their ancestors to support them. i said the same thing , ok i didn't mention how many are and their names because we all know that...i think. Secondly, Prue is the strongest of the 4 sisters. Piper has a more active "personal power" , exploding, but as a witch power Prue has bigger power. You can see that with Shax for instance. Prue & Piper had enough power to vanquish him with the spell but Piper & Phoebe could only hurt him not kill him.
i want to ask something. Since the "Power of Three" spell is the strongest and even killed the Seer when she was the Source, why they don't use it to every demon? The Source is the strongest right? And they vanquished Source/Seer with that spell. Also the spell of vanquishing the Source. that triad was stupid... the effects suck, no black eyes... the first 3 were much better... everything of that show became stupid after the destruction of Zankou and the appearence of penny...

Imean come on. the biggest and powerful threat triad 2 of them were wiped off within 1 minute. I wanted a bigger longer stronger scarier disturbing fight scene. it ended too fast. That would of been so much better. Seeming as the jenkins were so powerful to go up against the charmed ones. (In my opinion they weren't. The writers just wanted a cool storyline) With this battle it was Powers but your right it should of lasted longer. That would of been better like the honeymoon's over fight that would of been epic.
Billie and Christy were pathetic witches they couldnt even make a noxon vanquishing potion or to get to the underworld Billie had to steal one from the Charmed ones the Triad should have intrusted a mission to kill them to Pillar Phoenix and Petra of corse they were already dead

But in the later seasons Phoebe barely even used her powers or do any fighting except create a spell and throw a potion. Compared to piper and Paige she was just the third witch who just had to be there to complete the circle. Hell even Billie and Christie used their powers and they were only on the show for one season. Had Phoebe actually used martial arts in this scene or did anything but run and jump to avoid a fireball she would’ve been more useful. The writers didn’t do any justice with Phoebe after they decided she should lose her powers
@@caseyluna1393 Empathy was one of the strongest power, only second to proyection I guess, since it allowed the user to deflect, granted high resistance, replicated other powers and helped her foreshadow enemy attacks. The writers gave her one the best powers but they made her use it only a couple of episodes
I love Charmed so much and despite all the recent dramas and things we now know about what really happened behind the scenes and why the show turned out the way it did I still love it.
All that to say I guess this is what Rose McGowan was talking about when she said that Alyssa Milano didn't want to do this shit anymore all the extra work I love Alyssa I do but she should have been either forced to do the work or been kicked off

If you'd ask me, the triad isn't as nearly as strong as the Charmed Ones no matter their demonic powers.. See how their collective fell GREATLY when ONE triad was vanquished? It fell so much that before one was dead, they were ''invincible'' but after the one died, Piper was able to blow him up, while her power couldn't kill other powerful demons such as Zankou. Even if one of the Charmed Ones were dead, they wouldn't be that weak..

She was able to blow up Baleil because the collectyve got weakened and how Piper and Phoebe would be able to call upon the power of three if there were only two of them that would not make any sence besides Candor was pretty tough even without Asmodeus and Baliel the loss of one charmed one would effect them deaply because they care about each other they are sisters
+Isaturn01 The Source was trying to seduce Paige into becoming evil, not kill her. Which proves my point even more, that on their own, they're powerful witches. Leo did watch over her and guide her, but I wouldn't say save. Cole lost his powers early in season 4 and then became the Source after episode 13, so I wouldn't say he was saving them, either. Paige caught up really quickly seeing as her sisters have had their powers for 4 years already. Yes, they used the power of three to kill the triad, but we don't know for sure that they needed to. If Cole could kill them by himself, then I'm pretty sure they could've done the same. The first time they fought the Triad, all Paige had to do was deviate the fireballs back at them and they would've all been dead. The second time, they used the Hollow, but to me that was unnecessary, and the third time they used potions, which one of them could've thrown all three at them.
@Isaturn01, The Charmed Ones are the most powerful witches to ever walk the Earth, how would Billie and Christy contest them? Grams would be able to destroy them with the flick of her hand. As for the Source and Triad, all that was needed is for someone to deviate their attacks back at them and Paige could do that to all three. Yes, they are Charmed Ones, but it DEFINITELY doesn't require all three of them for all the demons they kill. Grams has killed plenty of demons in her time and we even see in Witchstock when she was young, she killed a very powerful upper level warlock who had the ability to stop time by turning him into flowers. Piper and Paige in season 5 turned the immortal demon into a tree. One spell and they can turn any demon into anything they want.

It is the same with the Avatar. When one of the Avatar was killed it weakened the collective so when Leo threw a lightning bolt at Zankou it did work. He then told him that he was weak because one of the members had died.

This fight was poor for me sadly.. Piper never could freeze that much superior demons, let alone explode them. The triad seemed very weak here...

@vaggos013 ermm piper and phoebe never sed tried to vanquish shax together it was just phoebe on her own and then piper and prue, and the fact it worked tha second time cant be assumed to be because of prue because prue even sed the spell needs more than 1 witch to have its full effect. As for the strongest charmed one, in my opinion its obviously piper and when u tlk about 'general power' i would say its all equal among the charmed ones.
The show many times shows to us the 3 sisters, the older-the middle-the younger (who changed "roles" after Prue's death) and that power goes : 1st>2nd>3rd. Of course these 3 supposed to be the most powerful witches and with P3 have huge power. But between them powers r 1st>2nd>3rd. Also the middle-sister always brings the balance & stability between the older and younger sisters.
I like the original triad in terms of how mysterious they were. And dark with the black eyes. But I love how these guys feel like a bunch of villains rather than antagonists. They were underused and I would have preferred if the writers had used the council in later seasons. And if Prue had stayed. And if Leo had died just like Andy. But I love all of charmed.

Poor Phoebe.. all she did was run. If she has the astral projection, it could have been useful. She could appear behind the triad and load one of them with psychic reflection or emotions which I believe demons could not stand human emotions and could stun or kill. I mean shes a psychic. Hmmmm
For 3 high leveled demons that were smart enough to devise the long con plan, they were pretty dumb and easy to take out here

Plot amour....Piper could never blow up the Triad and since when is 1 fireball strong enuff to Vanquish a upper level demon...the we Stronger together line was BS too they were still in the same building just a few feet away from eachother same as Phoebe was away from her Sisters...the Triad has the Power of Temporal Stasis and Molecular Desparsion which is like Pipers Freeze and Blow up Power but way Stronger they could have easily killed the Charmed ones...this was just for the sake of the Story.

Look about Shax...when Cole made the world without Paige (with the avatar power, i hope u remember the epsd) we saw Piper hunting Shax and trying to find a way to kill him, so if she &Phoebe could killed him they would have done it. Shax's vanquish spell supposed to need the P3. But we saw Prue and Piper killing him.

I actually agree! I love Piper and her power is AWESOME! but to be honest it doesn't always work i mean look at the episode where she tries to blow up that big beast and it doesn't eve phase him! Prue's powers were more efficient and consistent and she had martial arts.
And Prue's power would've been so advanced by now that with one wave of her hand she would've blown the triad to pieces

Piper has an exploding active power and we saw its revolution with the passing of years. Prue's power would be more powerful..see the ep. when they travelled in future (when Phoebe was in danger of execution). Also in all first 3 seasons Prue appears to be the strongest, after her death the total P3 changed and Piper had most power than the other 2.
AND Witches' powers are less effective on the Triad. Cole was an upper level demon his powers were 100% effective against them.

The Triad were not that powerful .. Because If they were , they wouldn't been frozen or exploded that easily by Piper
They actually were VERY powerful, its just that by that point Piper's power had grown to the point where she could freeze or blow up powerful demons. They actually say earlier in the episode that she couldn't freeze them for long and they were clearly starting to move. As for blowing one up vanquishing the first one weakened the other two and note it took three hits where it usually takes Piper ONE. Unless a demon has the power to reconsititue themselves (and some do) that power tends to work on them.

Actually Zankou and the Source could reconstitute themselves. Piper DID try to blow up the Source in the Seer's vision remember??? As for Billie Piper DID freeze her while she was infected with that virus. It was the only thing that saved her life though it might've worked because she WAS infected with the virus. However the Wiki lists it as an advancement on her power her freezing the Triad here. Remember Upper-Level demons used to not freeze??? That one they killed with Bane didn't and so did most of the other demons they've fought over the years who were Triad level or close.

Actually they froze all the way they just started adjusting quickly. Upper-level demons do that all the time on the show. The Triad was just quicker given their high level of power.

Paige could have easily vanquish demons just as easy as Piper she already had a power that could do that and I'm not talking about telekinesis or orbing I'm talking about photokinesis one that they never really nurtured for offensive or defensive powers

They killed the Source of all evil (at that time the Seer) and many demons with that spell, while she was trying to kill the girls with her powers (watch the video and u ll see). But ok i understand its a show and they had to do new things.

This was so cool the way they used their powers! I wish they'd developed Phoebe's in the same way...she could have had some awesome physic powers instead of that silly levitation power they gave her.
@SameBoy817 the cage had a forcefield protected against magic but from inside, i mean the person/people who were inside couldnt use magic to escape. But the enemy outside the cage (Seer/Source) could kill them, that's why she attacked them. If the outside person couldnt use magic too, the Seer/Source wouldnt attack. When she attacked they said the "p3 spell" and kill her and the other demons. But i say again there is not logical explanation bcs it was a tv show and they had to do new things.:)
When we say more powerful witch we don't refer to the personal power (telekinisis, time freeze, exploding...).
We refer to the power that the witch has general.
Phoebe for example could have been more powerful than the others if she was first, even with her "non active power".
Prue as the older one is the most powelful sister despite that telekinisis doesn't kill imediately.
Her power/energy can do more damage or can be more effective with a spell than the other 3 sisters.
Remember Shax again.
Prue's power would've killed in the future. Remember 2x02? her advance telekinesis was 100 times stronger than Piper's power now.

About what u say.... the first, i also said they call their ancestors to support them. i said the same thing , ok i didn't mention how many are and their names because we all know that...i think.
Secondly, Prue is the strongest of the 4 sisters. Piper has a more active "personal power" , exploding, but as a witch power Prue has bigger power.
You can see that with Shax for instance. Prue & Piper had enough power to vanquish him with the spell but Piper & Phoebe could only hurt him not kill him.

The Source is the strongest right? And they vanquished Source/Seer with that spell.

We never see Piper's exploding power in 2009 so u cant reallii judge tht and as for prue SEEMING to be the strongest is just a result of the director or something, not part of the real charmed story.

Imean come on. the biggest and powerful threat triad 2 of them were wiped off within 1 minute. I wanted a bigger longer stronger scarier disturbing fight scene. it ended too fast. Like for one with this at least it's hands on the other two were potions and beams although the beam was for that climatic effect which was cool but their individual powers should of been used. That would of been so much better. Seeming as the jenkins were so powerful to go up against the charmed ones. (In my opinion they weren't. The writers just wanted a cool storyline) With this battle it was Powers but your right it should of lasted longer. That would of been better like the honeymoon's over fight that would of been epic.

Yeah, the whole Billie and Christy storyline didn't make since especially when we have this prophecy that the sisters are the most powerful witches to ever walk the Earth, yet two witches who were separated for a while can somehow pose a threat to them, even after only learning their powers recently. Piper could've easily blown them both up in one blast, but that would make for a quick season. How come the Triad couldn't kill them their selves when they were in the house and froze time to speak to Christy? Nobody noticed that?
