Great advice on using only OEM. Not my wife’s Lexus, but on my Dodge Ram, I used an aftermarket PCV and had all kinds of problems. Only OEM parts for me, from now on.

Thanks for the advice. I was about to get an aftermarket pcv for my Alphard. I didn’t consider the things you outlined.

I changed mine after seeing this and now I have a CEL and code P0441, do you have a video for that?

Is P0441 the only code that is stored or are there other codes? If P0441 showed up right after replacing the PCV valve I would suspect a defective/stuck PCV valve. Make sure you are using the original OEM Toyota part because some aftermarket PCV valves can cause problems.
Sometimes P0441 and other codes such as P0446 and P0455 can be caused by a loose gas cap if you forgot to tighten up the gas cap. Unless the gas cap is bad then those codes can cause that. If all checks out OK for the PCV valve and P0441 is the only code stored then I would check and test the purge valve and wiring to see if it is working properly. Typically located on the driver's side near the airbox area on Toyotas. No video on that yet.
