The P68 Partenavia was a great aircraft. Two simple four cylinder Lycomings, great load carrying and simple to fly - also nice looking.
This is interesting. I'm doing my training in a Piper Warrior, preparing for a check ride in a few months hopefully. I've been looking at different aircraft and never saw this!!! Thanks for the video!
Wish you best of luck! You ll need a multi engine license for this plane tho, but its definitely a step up from piper, imo :)
Subbed 🤝 Thank you for your content!
Thanks for the sub! I really appreciate it!
I think it's a brilliant design, even if it looks like the new USPS mail trucks with wings attached. 😁
Nice looking
Great video...thank you.....doescthis plane have Mixture controls..??? I didn't see any on the quadrant....
I would love to have this as my personal plane.
100 hp each. What is single engine performance like? Especially fully loaded with left engine out.
I did my multi engine on this and it was awesome. Petrol from your usual gas station, affordable per hour flight, very well equipped with glass panel and autopilot. The only downsides were purchase price and single engine cruise speed
The P2006T just got a 60kg MTOW / useful load increase which makes it even more attractive.
Bro I cant even afford a new Corolla why is this recommended to me 💀
i've made a vid about some nice small planes that can be found for a price of corolla or even less :)
Does Toyota even make a Corolla anymore?
Yes @@christopherhand4836
Cessna 150 is less than a Corolla . Just saying lol
Hope you enjoyed this video! Let me know if you would love to see any other plane on our channel!
My son in law got his multi engine rating in one of these. He loved how it flew. Will there be any improvements to give it a higher cruise speed, maybe slightly larger engines?
Congrats to him! Yes, P2006T is indeed very popular among schools for multi engine license. But I doubt they will make a more "performance" version of it. In my opinion, they came in and got that part of the aviation market they were aiming to. The engines they've chosen are extremely light, making the empty mass one of the lowest in the sector. It all comes down to the preferences and needs, and of course, the budget, but i've heard good reviews of Beechcraft Baron G58, which is generally bigger and has better cruise alt and speed, and well, its Beechcraft, haha. There are a few good Seminole configurations and of course, if you willing to spend some extra, imo, Diamond D42 is the best. Their safety systems and "safety-focused" design, id pay extra for that.
@@bigmetalbirds That's where I'm going with the "more power, faster cruise". The school my SIL was at used Seminoles for ME instruction until the Tecnam came around. The Seminole (and Baron) both have a lot more power and significantly faster cruise, albeit at a much higher gph penalty. I can see the P2006T as ideal for multi instruction, but the private owner who goes from a single to a twin does it for faster cruise, usually. Unless Tecnam's end-game with the P2006T is for instruction, aren't they limiting their market for the plane, when you can buy a Seminole or Baron for less money?
From I heard, they actually position P2006T as a trainer and thats it. I don't think they are into conquering a wider market for now. In Europe they are much more popular than Piper, and also they've put a lot of $ into special modifications of P2006T for surveillance in the recent years, and have a few ongoing contracts. So, yeah, i don't work for Piper, but it seems like they are not diversifying a lot.
Give us more!!
More to come!!
I didn’t know so much about this aircraft but you helped me to know it
Thanks. (Please answer this comment)
glad it was helpful man!
2:24 Deepest condolences for the PK-IFP crash today (May 19 2024) which killed 3 people (pilot, copilot, engineer)😢
Oh my god. May thay rest in piece.
The major drawback to this design is the 4 Bing carburetors which eventually fail.
I wish the P2006T shipped with certified 912is engines.
What kind of price USA
Not so many offers, but some should be around 400k for 2014-2016 model. Why not order a ferry flight from EU, for example? Lots of great P2006T available in Europe.
$640,000 in US
how much?
About $500k+
Gotta go convert some numbers. Be right back.
Hi I am very fond of Gyrocopters as these are very safe even when engines fail because the auto rotating proppelors can sill land the aircraft very safely indeed.
Please feature a few high quality and reputed Gyrovopters . Ideally I would Ike t buy a Gyticooter with twin engines , should accommodate 6 adults , have washroom / toilet , , have air-conditioning,,, have hoods for carrying my 5 adult Persian cats and have enough fuel to travel at leastc2500 kms in thankful . 😂
This will be a fluffy flight haha
In 2012 Tecnam crashed in Latvia near Riga. After that....Tecnam should not talk about safety.
Saw one fold up one time not good
Half-million dollars or more? Nah.
There are lots of other twins out there for a fraction of that price that are more likely candidates to be my first twin.
sure, would love to hear your options!
@@bigmetalbirds Hi Big Metal Birds, thanks for reviewing the P2006T. It's a nice airplane, but financially out of reach for most people. Airplanes are expensive, in general, but some are less expensive than others.
Choosing a twin, or any airplane for that matter, is a very personal thing, and depends on what you can afford and what your mission is. Piper, Cessna, and Beechcraft have produced several excellent multi-engine piston aircraft throughout the course of several decades that can be bought for much less than $500k. They aren't brand new anymore, but they are still great airplanes.
For example, Piper has the Seneca II, Twin-Comanche, Apache, Aztec, Chieftan, and Seminole. Cessna has the 310, 337, 340, 402, 414, and 421. Beechcraft has the BE50, 55, 60, 65, and 76. There are also Commanders, Aerostars, Partenavia P68s, and probably more aircraft that I can't think of right now. To be fair, you can probably find a used P2006T for less than $500k too.
Don't get me wrong, there aren't any "cheap" options, they are all expensive to own and operate, but these are also all more affordable than the P2006T presented in this video.

For the price of this thing I could get a nice DA42 and have twice the airplane, I'll pass.
