    @14:15 the cabin pressure light is a very common feature on Airbus. On the Boeing 777s, each door is equipped with a flap on top of the door that opens first before the aircraft door is completely opened, thus neutralizing the pressure between the cabin and the one outside.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Před 2 lety +1

      Very true Neville, I’ve seen that flap when the door opens.
      A very interesting thing to show perhaps on a future video1

  • @richardmccarthy9580
    @richardmccarthy9580 Před 2 lety +1

    For a very nervous flyer who previously flew A320 family many times was unaware the from flaps had 3 different positions but best fun fact, the ding for when undercarriage is down. I’m very familiar with 3 dings which I’m fairly sure means we’re about to take off so make sure you’re strapped in but a single ding on approach is something I have never previously twigged

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, so the front flaps (called spoilers) have 3 positions and the back 4. And this is the same for all Airbus planes. Commonality😃.
      With flaps 1 slats will go to 1.
      With flaps 2 the slats will go to 2.
      With flaps 3 the slats will stay in 2.
      With flaps full the slats will go to 3.
      There is just a minor difference on the A350 and A380 during approach but no need to explain that.
      And regarding the “ding”, everything in aviation has a reason!
      thanks for watching 😁

      @richardmccarthy9580 Před 2 lety

      @@TheLayoverAviation For the nervous flying community, you should do a video entitled “Ding. Everything in Aviation has a reason” 😄 plus a now realise I know so little about A320…. Apart from “Arm the door and check the other side” in French! 😄

    End of Oct. i will go to Granada with Vueling. I have only 45 min. layover in Barcelona. Do you think i will make it? I booked seat row 4.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Před rokem +1

      I think 45’ is enough if you have a boarding pass and don’t connect from a flight outside of Europe.
      Great engine noise at row 4.
      Have a great flight!

    Thought this would be messy and annoying to follow but very well executed and an original idea! Never flown Vueling before but it's definitely on the list. From 16:20 on I got flashbacks to my neighbours dog they would leave barking inside the house all day 🤣

      Yeah, I had 2 flights with Vueling and did not have enough footage for a single video, so I thought, “Hey, why not combine them..?”. And I did .
      In my Swiss A330-300 video from Zurich to Dubai there is a dog in the cargo hold barking all flight!

    Nice video. I have a thing for automated PA. I am tired of hearing people crew mumble or slur their speech and no on can understand what they are saying... I think there should be a regulation to have automated PA.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Před 2 lety

      I’ve heard some pretty terrible PA’s, true, but I also enjoy accents depending on the country I’m flying to.
      Automated PA’s make me feel like I’m on a subway or something.
      Hope your regulation never gets passed😛

    • @_w_w_
      @_w_w_ Před 2 lety

      @@TheLayoverAviation I know it feel less personal but I have been on so many international flights that the poorly conducted human PA poses a safety and security issue to passengers that are not frequent flyers or not having English as their first language. Most of the PAs are safety and security related, and I think they should be done in a very formal, clear and concise manner. I fly Delta a lot and you'd be shocked how badly they butcher the PAs. The secondary language PAs done in Chinese and Korean are especially bad and do not even match their English version.
