Today, we're making a snail terrarium so you can use the scientific method (question, research, hypothesis, experiment, observe, conclude and repeat!) to observe and document your findings.
Just remember to let your new snail friend go when you're done with your experiment.

Yeha, I didn't want to put rocks in ither. I thought that the snail 🐌 wouldn't like it.
if you do want to put rocks you can cover them with moss bc if they fall they land on the moss
trust me moss is a literal life saver

This helps me i have borrowed some snails 🐌 from my older sister and they are very tiny and are yellow in colour 💛
I loved your video! And I gust found a snail 🐌 outside my doormat 🚪 and I saw a bird 🐦 surcling around it so I grabbed it before the bird 🐦 could. And when I got home from school I made a home for the snail 🐌 with my friend Isabella. But, sorry, I forgot to add the bark in the house for the snail. 🐌 😅! I ADORE SNAIL'S! 🐌 😊!

@@HAPPY-SIMPAlr no vets see snails but here is everything Ik, food: all vegetables and fruits NOT CITRUS, they need protein and calcium! House: NO ROCKS or anything hard! Make sure not to get stuff from outside without cleaning it, please please when you pick them up WASH YPUR HANDS! Without soap and don’t dry your hands!! Ask me more if you need!

So I’m basing this off of what I read but if your getting a snail from a pet store I don’t recommend the soil outside

You can bake the soil, it will kill all the insects and parasites
I also do this with leaves I find outside, my snail love the warm leaves 😌

Yes it does as long as you spray your snails more frequently than usual because it won’t keep humidity in as well but you can cover in some holes with plastic wrap and it should work great!

Hello! I have a question... is a 5.5 gal tank okay for 5 baby snails?
No! Baby snails need small tank because they spend alot of energy on looking for food

Really depends on the size of the snails. A couple of typical medium-sized garden snails might be comfortable in a 5 gallon tank. For a very large snail like an African land snail, 10 gallons seems like the absolute minimum.

@@mayafey2850 how many gallons, usually id do 5 per snail.
if ur using soil from outside, bake it first to sanitize, then add when cool. id reccomend 5gal per snail so 10gal for two, this is giving them abundance, stop glorifying the bare/under minium. they also need at least 2 inches or soil/substrate.
they need a bed, like a covered terracotta pot, they need moss.

hi I have been trying to make a snail habitat for so long and I was wondering does it have to have a lid?
It should have a lid as they could escape if it doesn’t, but make sure the lid has holes small enough that they cannot escape from. They need the holes for air! :)
most people have a lid so they dont escape, but make sure it has air holes

@@PhalanxX-hd8rkI use just moist dirt from my garden, but I also have two leopard geckos and I use eco earth for them and I buy it at pet smart, I’m sure it’s ok for snails, and my pet snail is about 1 year and a half and his name is Alicetor 😂❤

I have about 50 snails or more because my snails keep having babies. What do I do?? I have to many now and it’s hard to take care of all of them 😢❤

If you wanna add a bumpy texture get soil and clump it up also I've seen snails munch on dead rolly pollies so thos might make good

What kind of food should I put in my habitat for my snail?
carrots, no potatoes or cucumbers
no garlic or onions

Snails get there water every time you mist their cage having a water bowl isn’t a very good idea because they can drown!
