- SHOULD WE ALLOW Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez RACE ON SMALL BIKES?
We always watch motorcycle racing done by the greatest motorcycle rider like Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo. Normally they use bigger cc engines really designed for racing, Fast motorcycles. But what if these riders will use smaller cc engines not designed to be used for racing?
Behold! This is what happened in a Honda event in japan where no other than the current motogp champion Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa rode in a small engine Honda supercub with 110cc engine only! It so funny and quite weird having this rider race just like what they do in their own race bikes in motogp.
They have the same skills and techniques only much much lower speed :-) Plus very quite fun to watch! instead of these racers speed zooming infront of the audience in just milliseconds. Using these small bikes takes much slower and tiny weeny sound.
The race is done in Japan circuit track with other participants who are also known japanese riders and other fans of supercub motorbikes. Definitely this is a very exciting event made possible by Honda motors Japan. But do you think we should allow these motogp riders ride this small bikes which is prone to cause tire slips due to very thin and narrow tires. If they got an accident, their racing career will be affected.

Moto GP has always had a sense of humour.
I remember them doing something like that in DTM, they gave all the teams a lawnmower and they could modify it with team liveries and bodywork, like rear wings and splitters and the the drivers had a Lawnmower race in the infield of the track. Absolutely hilarious!
F1 has gotten so serious and political, especially with always political and always crying Lulu
I don't think they need crazy things to do...there's already enough drama
on plus you can see that motogp rider are really on a different league. im not sure current f1 drivers can be on top on different cars ... That's why we need this kind of event. This way, on a daily car , you can really understand the difference

The lead guy hit 30mph on the first bend. Lots of shoulder checks and good use of indicators.

haha, well put! I've seen someone host a 2.4 hour 50cc grass track moped race before. I'm mad at myself for not trying to get into that kind of stuff now, must be mad fun.

I had many a close shave on Vespas in the 80's in England, not one of my motorcycle mates, would ride anymore than 5 mins on any of my scooters, without stopping and stating that they were "bloody dangerous". Anything over say 30 mph, is possibly deadly. My T5 was a blast though 👌. What scooters did you race?

There is an official racing class for those bikes. It is called CubPrix. Well not international of course but its available in South East Asia. Im a malaysian and here this category racing is quite popular. There is also Petronas Sprinta which is a drag race and the CubPrix is a normal track race like MotoGP.
It already exists for a long time. And no, it's not as 'fun' as this video because what you're watching is people goofing around, not a real race.

Of course they will have fun lol. The way the try to wheelie also funny with no power. Actualy there is a way to wheelie with those bike but they are not used to it so i understand.

honda cub of c70 c90 EX5 is very popular in Malaysia. We even modified this cub to reach topspeed of 180 190 km/h. Very reliable bike. Can do wheelie as easy as you walk. Good to know marquez and pedrosa enjoy it so much.

@@TamingsaryBuduSiam honda C70,C90 and EX5. I dont know what they are named in other countries but in Malaysia thats what they are named. Its basically a 70cc,90cc,and 100cc bikes. Not exactly 100cc of course its 93cc but its rounded off to sound better like most other bikes.
Those bikes i mentioned above is legends man. They are not fast by stock factory spec. But they are damn reliable man. Very light,agile,easy to learn,and its auto clutch,and also damn cheap and they consume like no fuel at all. They are so durable too. I have one,bought it 20years ago. Still going strong and very smooth and still very reliable as the day i bought it. Just a couple of services because if you are using a bike for that long it needs services and you are good to go. A lot of youngsters modified the bike and the damn thing can reach up to 180kmh. The bike itself and the aftermarket parts are stupid cheap and thats why it becomes so many youngsters target as their bike and to modify it.
Look it up in google. Just type Honda EX5 or C70 C90 and you will know about malaysia's most famous bike.
I remember pushing my grandpa C70 cause it can't go uphill🤣

International race of super cubs! These kinds of races are great, they show skill of the racers alone all on basically the same bike. Remember, the Honda Cub was a huge part of many country's personal transportation infrastructure! Those little bikes improved the lives of many millions of people.
They were also the bike that started Honda's popularity and the golden age of M/C in the 60's. Remember "you meet the nicest people on a Honda"?
I believe they're quite possibly one of the best machines ever made!

I'm in favour of this but it's just they have to hold a reputation for top racing. If you want low speed then there's moto3 and moto2 for you, MotoGP got everything for everyone, that's ehy we love it

Me and my friends did this a lot. Racing stock mopeds or other derpy vehicles can be every bit as fun and exiting as expensive forms of racing. If you really want to see who's the better rider, give everyone the same bike.

Give me a fleet of Honda Super Cubs, Motocompos, and Groms, and give me a 1km kart track. Then let me sell a couple thousand tickets to the locals and invite 20 friends to battle for championship points. Winner takes the whole fleet.

It's funny to think that Isle of Man TT is (in large part) no longer a GP race because Giacomo Agostini boycotted it. The reason for his boycott was the desth of one of his close friends - in the 125cc race! So in the same class that the Honda Cub wiuld theoretically start...

We used to TNT race honda spree's. On a particularly hard landing we discovered that the forks actually move. Previously they were frozen in place and we figured that there was no front travel.

I own a Honda "scooter" (automatic - ADV150) and it's a lot of fun. People can poke fun all they want at smaller bikes, but who's enjoying life more? It doesn't matter what we ride, it's about having fun.
