    Looking good Brah! Just got my fiskars to about a month ago and I love it. Love how much better my yard looks. My cub cadet may be in trouble. Thanks for the video.

    I picked up a used Fiskars for $50, and it's awesome! I actually enjoy mowing the grass now. There's something to be said about being able to just grab the mower and start mowing. It's a satisfying experience, for sure.

    Do you like the grass catcher? I'm seeing the stand alone price of $87. Coupled with the Amazon price of $267 for the mower, we're talking about $350+!

    Hey Brah just found your channel. Love my Fiskars since 2018. I even was the first to put a striping kit on mine in 2019 when I first started my channel. Took my channel down in September of 2020 and started over so all my videos from 2019 are gone. Still have my Fiskars and use it on occasion. You have been subbed by Striperman :)

    I just got the Fiskars 18 inch and am wondering if anyone is having the same issue I am. I see ripples in the grass when I cut. Almost like an old washboard. I adjusted the blades. Tried cutting faster. Cutting slower. It still does it though. Have you run into this with this mower?

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  Před 3 lety

      When I was cutting lower yes you def see a ripple effect. If you mod your fiskars and add a roller front and rear it fixes the problem. check out this guy his modded fiskars doesn't have the rippling effect czcams.com/video/mlkbpbdTyUo/video.html Hope this helps! Thanks for the support!

    I don’t know if self-propelled mowers existed back in the 80s and 90s but my mom used to have one of these when I was little so I’ve always wondered if I should try this kind out. No having to deal with figuring out oil or gasoline. No having to haul on that pull cord and wear your back and arm out. She was stronger than I am now and she’s shorter than I am now and seemed to handle pushing it just fine, so I’ve always wondered if I could handle pushing one. Her yard was maybe one fourth the area of mine, though. Is this mower harder to push than a regular non self-propelled mower (I don’t know if I’m using the right terms)? My Ryobi electric mower isn’t self-propelled. I could handle pushing that fine. It’s in the shop, though, and I didn’t want to spend $400 to get another electric mower or a gas one in the meantime. I figured spending $100-$200 on the right push reel might be reasonable.

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  Před 2 lety +1

      Fiskars is nice cause the cutting height range is great 1”-4” taller grass you might have a hard time pushing with the resistance but the new electric Sunjoe is only $200 search for Sunjoe CORDLESS electric reel mower it’s one of my favorites and one that I use a lot! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

    i was told that it's best to not use a catch basket and just let the grass clippings fall on your yard. it works as a natural fertilizer/compost and is good for your lawn.

    • @YardBrah
      @YardBrah  Před rokem

      For sure as long as the grass clippings are tiny anything bigger will cause some headaches 😊🤙🏾🔥🙏🏾

    • @celticknyt
      @celticknyt Před rokem +1

      For small clippings (1/3 of the grass length), allowing the clippings to drop us better, but when rain, or vacation, or other issues cause the grass to be longer than normal, or during a spring scalp (for warm season grasses) collection is better than allowing the long clippings to mat the soil surface.

      @@YardBrah Poa Annua is a beast to get rid of. There a videos online on CZcams for the chemicals you can use to kill it but it will come back several times before you can get it to die off. Poa is the worst weed to have and I have it also but work on it every spring to dig it out and reseed the area because I have dogs and don't want to risk their health over the chemicals needed to kill it off.
