    Younger players have both higher reaction speed as well as the lack of "fear" that develops with experience, this allows them to use hyper aggressive strategies to overwhelm even experienced and older players. Of course this also requires the younger players to be really good and practiced at the game.
    Different age groups play the game at different speeds and thus develop different styles, for a fighting game microsecond differences can mean win or loss, so an aggressive playstyle by a very reactive player can be a very powerful strategy against opponents who biologically can't keep up.

      @GuyWithAnAmazingHat Před 6 měsíci +2

      @@Whensmahvel1 Nah it's actually a big deal, reaction times start dropping past 25, it's why most eports pros retire after that.
      Fighting game pros also know that but because FGs have a lot of legacy knowledge that builds up fundamentals through experience, they can make it up for the loss in reaction speed.
      In a Taiwanese GQ interview Oil King in his 30s said that he actually can't keep up even with players like Punk who are already themselves in the 20s.

Which is true of all things. If you want to be top tier in extremely competitive and popular fields then you pretty much have to start early and be pretty good as a child. There are always exceptions but in general, in very competitive and popular fields the top ppl almost all have been training hard since childhood.
