@@GN9K71 calm down these cam's only add .039" of lift over sock cam's the spring's and valve's will be fine.

Does it required a turning after installation ? Without tuning does it cause harm the engine ?

I have had my Bullitt for about 6 months and only turned the radio on once , to see if it worked and almost always drive with windows down !!!
U r right... before in my Mitsubishi I have complete radio upgrade. But after I got a 20gt I turn the radio way down.. love the sound of the exhaust notes. So sweet
I know this is an old video but I just installed mine and what an experience. The install and the key crank after was heavenly.
You can definitely here the difference. It sounds meaner, almost evil.

Nothing in my humble opinion beats the sound of big cams...I also love it when people who are not into to cars , hear the big cam sound and swear the car is missing or not running right.
Just an FYI, the reason muscle cars sounded like that is the "Hi Po" cam designs of the day had long duration lobes...meaning the valves stayed open a "long time", whereas in more modern day "Hi Po" cam designs it was learned you didn't need to have long duration, you just needed higher lift...there are obviously other technical subtleties to modern cam design but that is the condensed version. Ford and other cam manufacturers started offering these "new" designs with longer duration because as this young man states, he wanted that muscle car sound.
I love that sound, the 4.6 sound is intoxicating especially with the cam upgrade.
I'm just like you! I love that deep rumble of the Classic Muscle Cars. Back in the day Glass Paks were often used on the exhaust just to achieve that "sound". Nice video. 😎
GREAT video.. before/after sound and driving. nice addition of the Ford graphical video of how a cam works, and even an explanation by a mechanic of the valve height and duration changes with the new cam. Thanks for sharing.. your GT sounds bad-ass!

I have a 2007 GT/CS I just got in January, and I have put on the headers and pipes, Ford Performance CAI and 62 MM Fuel Throttle Body. Like you, I drive my car daily, haven't raced it, I just want that sound I had when I did street race years ago. FedEx delivered my Hot Rod Cams today and if all goes well, I will have them in my car, before they have my tune ready and sent to me. Nothing like that sound and that little shake when at a stop sign or a red light. Car sound good thanks for sharing.
2006 Ford Mustang GT convertible with procharger supercharger owner here. You just sold me on those! Right now, rockin Flowmaster outlaw cat back exhaust system as well.

Gen1 Yotes were big problems in this case the 4.6 is a better choice not for power but for reliability

@@jeraldtan9926 Not every Gen 1 had problems, but a large amount of them did. That's typical for a new production engine. It's extremely difficult to know how something will behave through mass production while you're still in product development.

How does it run at the track?
You can hear the difference even when it starts up, sounds rougher, more brutal. I wish Ford developed Hot Rod cams for the Coyote as well.

5.0 2014 mustang gt premium what performance cams will give the lopey 1960's muscle car sound idol? All else is stock but your 4.6 2010 mustang is the correct sound.For the '14 mustang gt what do you suggest? Ford performance? Or other?

Pull into a parking lot where a group of car guys are meeting and they perk up when they hear the car crawling through the lot with that lope. 110 degrees separation, 650 rpms, the Lift and the duration and going through long tubes and the 2.5 inch exhaust and a decent set of Mufflers. Add a supercharger to it and they look as you drive toward them or away from them. You can even catch the guys who quickly look away before they realize what they are hearing and looking at.

Amazing I have a 2021 mustang gt my car takes 4 cams. I daily my car so idk if it would be a good or healthy thing for my engine.
I've got a 2010 V6 and its nice to seen more people with our model year. A lot of people consider them underpowered or weak but honestly theyre just so fun to tinker with. Keep up the great videos!

Well they definitely are under powered, especially the V6... Probably the worst year to buy a mustang as it was right before Ford did a total revamp for their engines.... However, a Mustang is a mustang and you can make anything fast ....with boost and money
@@whatswrong598last good year for the manual was the 2010. Still came with the 5speed. Those new 6speeds are made in China. Aka junk.
@@thronewalker1153 no the mt82s are far from perfect but are definitely better than the 5 speeds… they’re a little sloppy but can handle 700 whp

I always wonder if such upgrade damages engine in long term?
I don't understand why you didn't go with a performance exhaust system first if you mainly wanted better sound? Borla s type and attack do the trick exceptionally well and I would guess much cheaper, between 750-1500?
Does the car have a nice exhaust or is that the stock exhaust ?????
How is it drive ability compared to stock?
