  • We can fix your game console: www.tronicsfix.com/
    We take a brand new Xbox One S from the shipping box and tear it down to the bare motherboard. We take a look inside the internal power supply as well and the disc drive.
    ►Tools I Use: www.amazon.com/shop/tronicsfix
    You will see how to remove the two halves of the case by prying them open with pry tools, then we remove the green screws that hold the metal case inside the Xbox. The top case comes off easily with no ribbon cables attaching it to the rest of the console like with the Xbox One.
    After that we can see the hard drive, fan & heat sink, disc drive, power supply and motherboard. We remove the rest of the screws from the bottom and remove each component one by one.
    We open the power supply to have a look at the new, internal power supply. We also tear down the disc drive and compare it to the disc drive of the Xbox One.

    Watching this helped me pinpoint a bad sector in my internal HDD that was causing the operating system to malfunction. Turning it on was a hit or miss; sometimes I'd get a green loading screen forever, or would have to boot it into safe mode before giving it a reset without deleting my games. Turns out, I just upgraded it with a SSD and haven't had any problems! Great disassembly walkthrough!

    Wonderful work!!! U have the Xbox tear down, down to a science. Also super impressed with the engineering of the actual box and components, and how nicely they all fit together in such a compact package, beautiful console. I truly think they could have made it even smaller but were very wise not to, and instead opted for a large fan(again)and heat sink especially b/c of the new internal power supply and close proximity of all the components.
    They r truly learning from past mistakes and others (que red ring of death and other devices running super hot thereby decreasing their lifespans).

      Ahh yeah. Computer warranties are usually far longer because they don't have moving parts. CPU warranties usually last at least 3 years. the only things that are 1 year warranties are HDD's and Blu-ray Disk drives. Those are extremely cheap these days.
      Also, what does that tell you about the product if the company who makes it is only willing to cover the liability for a year? Must be superb. :/

    Its interesting to see that 80% of the volume are the disk drive, HDD, psu and cooler. If we take off the disk drive, put an external PSU and exchange the HDD for a SSD nvme, the size of the console can get pretty small. Those big components are really a pain in the ass for the hardware enginners.

      More powerful? Yes
      Cheaper? No

    • @SeanPat
      @SeanPat Před 7 lety +1

      Yeah, but why even go cheap on a gaming Pc? Your 438 price tag isn't including potential future upgrade parts when games require more and more power, or when you just simply want to upgrade.
      Most high end parts can cost a lot in the long run. If I wanted to upgrade the GPU, thats easily another 200-500+ if I wanted a significant difference in my graphics. Or you wanted to replace/add internal storage or fans or things like that.
      So If I was going to build a Pc I'd drop a bit of money into it to make sure it would be a beast, and plan on spending more money on better parts that could cost as much as the entire build.
      But still not cheaper. You can get an Xbox one for about $200 at the store or online with a game or two. Yes Xbox Live or PSN can be expensive for 6 years, but its less money than if you wanted to upgrade your $400 Pc and keep it up to date with future technology in the next 6 years.
      And thats not even including the price tag if you want a nice mechanical keyboard and mouse combo, or other peripherals that one might want to get in the Pc world.

    • @SeanPat
      @SeanPat Před 7 lety +1

      Dude chill, I'm just saying the pc life can be expensive if you look at the long run. 6 years of xbox live would be about $360, you could spend that and more on graphics cards in the future. Plus you don't have to buy new games for $60 all the time, prices change. You're acting childish and living under the false impression pc gaming is cheap. With an Xbox, you don't upgrade any of the internal parts. You get it, plug it in and forget about upgrading it. Yes you're right, I haven't gamed pc, I want to get into it, but it's expensive. More expensive than it is to go buy an Xbox and plug it in to enjoy a game.
      So don't go calling me an ignorant pesant because you know it's expensive and you can't think of a better counter argument so you just attack me personally.
      Take a step back and look at how much money you've spent on pc gaming over the last however many years you've been playing.
