I’m honored and grateful to finally be able to witness his genius at the Greek Theatre in mid September this year! He is such a prolific writer and poet that I forget about beautiful, hidden gems like this one sometimes. This is a rare live version of one of my favorite Van tunes. The studio version of this song wasn’t released until Philosophers Stone came out many years later.
Once a real rarity among collectors, this is a great song. I saw this band twice - it was such a change from the full splendour of the Caledonia Soul Orchestra, so much more spare. Thank you, great stuff.
