My fathers name was Dana perry he was a Sargent in the 101st infantry division he was not labeled a tunnel rat but he did volunteer his life going first to make sure that people were safe from these horrible cruel booby traps god rest his soul 😊
You must be so proud. I’m from England only just realising how profound that Vietnam War was. my Grandad and Great Grandad served in WW1 and WW2. My Grandad was in the D Day Landings, going over on day 6, coming home a broken man. My nana said he was never the same man and he passed away in 1952 aged only 42. My Great Grandad was a Boatswain on the SS Borg, and while bringing a cargo of iron ore from Bilbao he was torpedoed in the English Channel, 35 miles off Lizard Point, by German U Boat 103. The wreck site is a protected grave. That same U Boat was sunken weeks later by British forces. His name is on the Tower Hill War Memorial in London. It made me realise that no one really wins in war 👍🏼
God bless you and your family.
They don't hand out Bronze Stars. Both of them are very courageous people.
Two US heroes
It's funny how the US always gets to be the "heroes".
