    Quelle voix somptueuse, du velours, de la puissance et des pianissimi sublimes. Elle n'est pas assez connue et est pourtant des meilleures Aida.

    A tremendous performance in the grand manner-and the authentic manner, too. Fabulous messa-di-voce and a masterful high arch to the soft high C, as written. Supreme.

      It’s written DOLCE.
      Why on earth have so many gotten this wrong !!????
      Dolce = Sweet, gentle, mild, smooth…

    Superb - the pianissimo at the beginning of "O patria" is the key to her splendid singing

    Wonderful singer, Superb soft initial high C followed by a slight crescendo which not many can manage. Besides that this is not to ignore the entire aria itself which is beautifully done as well.

    The high C is marked dolce in the score which is more about quality of tone, not about dynamics.
    Dolce = Sweet.
