You all know Spyro, the brave little dragon in a mission to save his big dragon friends.
Beat the game at 120% with all the diamonds and dragons rescued. You can't do that in one go. After you beat the final boss you will get 100% and a bad ending, then you have one more level with 2000 diamonds to collect and then you get the 120% ending. -

This is a stunning game, even now. The simple art style and the loveable characters are just so well done. The Spyro games are what made me and my sister bond the most :3

Ugh. It doesn't have any filtering or diffusion. Spyro is by no stretch a bad game, but....YUCK! It looks barely finished and heavily unfiltered.

spyro was the first real game I ever played. After buying and playing it from the psn store the memories came back hitting me like a ton of bricks, all the bad ones and all the good ones. I cried thinking back to the first time playing this game when I was but a child. roaming the artisians world figuring it all out, how to play video games. to this day I thank spyro for what it brought me as a kid its why I continued getting the next generations of playstation.
Would be great if games these days would give us those same feelings as the older games did. Zelda, Spyro. Final Fantasy, Super Mario, Twisted Metal. There just isnt anymore games that give us that "i could cry right now from all the nostalgia" feeling. Games just arent that good anymore.

Evangelyne Zuuvita I forgot to mention Minecraft along with the zelda and spyro games. As crappy as the graphics are (all pixels), the music sets the mood every time since its all about creativity.
exactly when your able to immerse yourself in the game and become a part of it as creepy as it sounds its a good thing for a game your playing if you feel a part of it in some way, you know that the developers made a good game.

I was born in 1991 and this is my favourite game from my whole childhood ever on every console from that time even over crash, I've got a ps4, Xbox one & a ps1 just for spyro 1 & 2 lol, absolutely brilliant game 🙌🏻
I love everything about this game. So much nostalgia. I love the atmosphere, the characters, the levels, and especially the cute fairies and butterflies ♥ I wish I could play it again!
You can download PlayStation 1 emulators on your pc and get the Games too it's enough to set it up search it on CZcams 😊

Fun Fact: the music is my absolute favorite part of Spyro the Dragon, which is done by none other than Stewart Copeland, who was a drummer for the Police.
Every 3 or 4 years I always get a sudden urge to play this game. For some reason it's always around Christmas time.

Aw man! Right at ten seconds the music started and all of my childhood came back at once! This game needs to be re-released, I don't have a problem with the playing the game on a ps2 or anything. I say this for the people who can't play this game anymore because of unreadable discs or broken Playstation 1 and or 2.

Those games made my childhood, Spyro's saga in particular makes me feel a kid again, it reminds me the saturday and sunday morning, when there wasn't school and i used to play with my ps1.

I don't really like the flying stages. I used to hate seeing those innocent trains loaded with Explosive barrels get destroyed.

This makes me feel old! I was 13 when this came out (nearly 30 now!) I remember playing this! I LOVE the noise a dragon makes before you free it! Takes me back...! I remember the controller used to vibrate when you freed a dragon too! I'm only 30 mins into this walkthrough, but it's all coming back to me!

My favorite game in the world. First game I played as a really young child. The soundtracks are amazing. I still play this game today, but I never got to the ending. For some reason I couldn't collect jewels anymore, and near the ending with those final portals, they were glitched. I couldn't get in them. I couldn't even travel to other worlds in the ballon. Did anyone else face a similar problem? I don't know why it glitched like that, but I never could actually finish the game which is truly upsetting. But I got to see it here. Anyways, thank you very much for uploading this! This game holds a strong place in my heart.

The closest they got to a proper next-gen Spyro was the third installment of the Legend of Spyro series for the Xbox 360, yet that game lacked a lot of the things about Spyro that made it worth-while; that, and the ending was frustrating. I wish they would do something more serious with Spyro again for this generation of gaming, something that has a balance of the old features that made it great, and new features that would just expand that into something it was incapable of being before.
I don't think they fully realize just how popular a game like that would be.

+Laura B A PS4 Spyro would only happen , if Sony bought the rights away from Activi$ion. If Sony bought the rights, than they could give it to insomniac to make a proper Spyro game on the Ps4.Same this applies to Crash. Sony has been talking about trying to get the rights to them both.

3:27:05, the stuggle to get that dragon! i had done everything in the game but used so much time locating that dragon that i got realy annoyed. fantastic game, one of my best childhood games together with Saturn bomberman.
I bought (well, my parents did) PS1 in the late '98 or early '99, can't remember exactly and in the same package I got Resident Evil 2, Fifa 99 and Spyro the Dragon. It was like entering a new era of my life. Previously I played Sega Mega Drive 2 and coming from 16-bit world into the 32-bit was really something. PS1 will always be my number 1 console and that late 90s and early 2000s era best one ever when it comes to gaming. First 3 Spyro the Dragon games, Resident Evil 2 & 3 (never got to playing first one), Tomb Raider series (1-4), Chrono Cross, Silent Hill 1 & 2 and many more. Needless to say, I greatly miss these games, there is something about them that's lost in modern ones, a soul, creativity, whatever you call it.

i still know when i was a little kid, i played this 24/7.Spyro has always been my favorite. when the legend of spyro Dawn of the dragon came out(still was a little young for really thinking about that tho) I immediately bought the game and played it like all day, all night, til now. I still play it. Spyro is THE best.

I love to see how on these old games we had to think and discover every step to keep going on... the games of today, theres always an arrow pointing you what you have to do or somekind of text telling you what to do everytime. Those games like Spyro or crash were amazing just because you play as free you want to play and make you think how you want to make your history or what path to follow. Im boring about games where you dont feel youre in an adventure... time has changed a lot what an adventure game is.

To be fair most of Spiro’s dialogue was basically “uh, oh ok whatever”when he would be told secrets and tips from the older dragons even in the beginning which is SUPPOSED to be like a tutorial lol Maybe they just thought he was a bit of a punk and didn’t warn to swallow their pride and admit he helped especially since most of them seem pretty self-important and boastful despite just being helpless as a statue or frozen or whatever they are. Tho they don’t seem very concerned about being frozen or saved or who did it so who knows what the hidden political agendas of Spiro’s world are conspiring haha
Mspark400 Smith my favorite is one in Beast Makers where the dragon talks about how beautiful the swamp was and Spyro's just like "Yeah, I'm sure it was" and there's this stunned silence before he disappears.

The high caves level is the one of the only things I remember from playing this game so long ago when I was about 4ish. It's been so long but I can remember the entire level in detail and remember some of the things I did on that level. I spent about 4 hours just playing around on it with all the speed slopes and stuff like that having fun flying around. Kinda sucks what they did with this game turning it into a gritty action game rather than the cutesy light hearted game it used to be. SPYRO is the pinnacle of gamings simplicity and quality.

I made a D&D campaign based off of Spyro the Dragon where all my players got to be juvenile dragons. I had an adventure based off of each of the levels in this game. The players all had a blast: my best campaign to date. :)

Words cannot describe the feeling of actually sitting here reliving my childhood... I'm 23 now so I had to have been 3 or 4 when this came out but believe me I've played it, I've always been alright at game's and Spyro the Dragon and Crash Bandicoot are the reasons why. They should remake this and it's obviously not going to be the same because we're not the same either we've all grown up but we still have that kid in us and I'd totally purchase the remake's!
As someone who never played the original Spyro trilogy I'm happy I got the Spyro Ignited Trilogy for Nintendo Switch for my birthday and I love it.

ahh yes, my ps2 is just managing to run...it has a problem with the disc tray or the laser, occasionally will stop spinning disc and then start again.
