Exploring Corsica: Family Holidays and Cultural Richness (Plus Relaxation!)

- ad | We are currently in Corsica, and absolutely loving it here. The island is unspoiled, maintains its natural beauty and offers a unique blend of French and Italian influences, with a Spanish feel making it a rich cultural experience!
The scenery is breathtaking, with beautiful winding roads, fresh produce markets perfect for creating a delicious 'picky' lunch (our favourite!), and vibrant landscapes to explore together.
With its preserved local culture, authentic feel and history-filled atmosphere, Corsica is hugely refreshing and a true Mediterranean gem. If you're looking for a family break that brings a little of everything, head over to Corsican Places and they will take care of you from the very beginning.
This week, I discuss family holidays and travelling with children. We've tried various types, from hotels to self-catering villas. When the children were younger, hotels with kids clubs worked best, giving us some downtime and allowing the children to enjoy the companionship of others of a similar age. As they grow, self-catering villas provide a more relaxed experience and allow us to enjoy our own schedule!
Travel is a huge passion of mine, I find it always offers cultural exploration and plenty of personal growth. I feel so inspired following a trip, be it for a new recipe, interior design or fashion styling! I also think it's crucial for my children to experience new environments and cultures when we can, as it helps to enhance their confidence and curiosity.

Glad you have had a good start to the holiday. I shall look forward to seeing more of Corsica in Friday's video. I'm sure anyone who has had children and travelled will relate to your stories of the added dynamic childhood illness brings to travel adventures. We travelled at Christmas to Indonesia and our oldest caught an ear infection when we were in Amed, Bali where literally the only things to do are swim, snorkel or dive and she wasn't allowed to put her head under the water for three days. My husband ended up hiring a glass bottomed kayak when she was feeling a bit better so she could at least glimpse some of the amazing coral and sea life we had travelled to see.
