I have had one of these since I borrowed it from a friend and was converted. Given we have 3 dogs a fuse to have horses so ideal. Mine does a rinse as well after you have washed it and the same principle interms of pulling back to draw the water out. It’s a bit of a faff to clean the the brushes but my tip is to do it every time you use it. Even though like you I vacuum thoroughly beforehand, the black Labrador hairs are very prevalent! Rug cleaner did a good job, the clip with Lola under the table with tennis ball, looking at you, was like a Tottering by Gently, Annie Tempest, cartoon. x

I have one of these, it’s been great with 3 children, dogs and foster dogs (who often aren’t housetrained 😬). You can use a special stain spray on it first before machining that comes with the machine. Another very helpful piece of kit is the Karcher window cleaning vacuum, absolutely brilliant, and a bonus is my children don’t mind using it too!

The Dr Beckmann carpet stain remover is fantastic. I’ve taken dried in red wine out of a cream carpet with and you would never know.

i don't know why people have to question your decision to move. You've clearly talked about it at length as a family and decided that it's the right decision for all of you. Those are big changes, and sometimes, it is just too much. So a few tears shared are ok. It helps lighten the load. My younger brother passed in January and it is very debilitating sometimes. We were very close all our lives. I find it hard and it wacks me upside the head out of nowhere at any given time. I am still going through his belongings that are at my apartment.

Charlie we downsized 18mths ago for a smaller garden. We found the house we loved which was smaller too, but being able to have less “stuff” has been brilliant. We now know what’s where, and everything we have will be used. It’s very liberating albeit hard work, and I’m sure you will feel the same when you come out the other end of the move. Lots of luck.🍀

I’m only getting to watch this now (July) The Zara trousers were so nice I’d bought a pair a fortnight ago in the sale 🤣🤣 As for the wide leg navy - I think that style needs to be balanced top & bottom so the ruffled high shoulder detail did that well on the video. I’m 5’4” and told that I should go for wide leg styles to make me look taller. However it’s key that you don’t end up with a narrow top and wide bottom halves. Did you keep them?

Hello Charlie, I have a question, why have you decided to rent and spend all that money bringing it up to what you desire...and a Aga!!! Horrendously expensive to buy put in and run. Esse or Everhot maybe would have suited as a range cooker. As the Landlord I would be rubbing my hands with glee! Could you not have found a decent smaller property to downsize too, all that rental money and in the end its never yours. I truly hope its what you really want and not a quick fix to a seemingly financial one that you deemed to share on your channel. I hope that once you move in you can feel at home and that you won't come to regret all the dead money in rent, expecially as you have been a home owner. Had to ask as sure others have been thinking same, as it doesn't make sense. Anyways enjoy your journey and that you find inner peace.

Sorting and decluttering can be emotional. Whenever I decided to let a sentimental item go, I took photographs so I could still enjoy them if I needed to. xx

So exciting. I can’t be the only one waiting to see how you dress the new house for Christmas 😊 I did have one thought - I can really see the barn being used for a wreath making course. A few tables in the middle, a few fairy lights wrapped around the beams - rustic beauty! Lastly you made me smile talking about the B&B quests, at home we’d run through the house shouting ‘no visitors’ at the end of the season! Bliss!

OMG, this is giving me memory trauma…..I used to have an air bnb and similarly had some guests who had TWO black labs and I had to clean literally every piece of textile in the whole flat including the valences and sofa covers. And I asked guests not to take dogs in the bedrooms or on furniture. Needless to say it was the only time I left an unfavourable review for some guests 😡

any thoughts on/preferences for flea and tick meds for small dogs?

This is the worst part, utterly exhausting, physically and emotionally. Manifesting is real, it’s amazing what you can achieve if you really listen to yourself.

Lovely video! I am so pleased you realised now in your life that you do slowly get taken over by 'stuff' and this leaves less time for loved ones and life in general! I'm afraid to say it took having a accident with a horse and then discovering I had breast cancer for me to see that I have far to many things that need cleaning/looking after! It made me very stressed when I suddenly couldn't manage. I have radically 'decluttered' to make my life easier and my household more manageable-wish I had done it years ago!lots of love Rachel

Thank you for sharing the moving process. So looking forward to the new house and new vlogs. Less is definitely more. We don't realise how much our possessions consume our time. I'm all for travelling, and living experiences, and no longer striving or needing to acquire more 'stuff'. I think it was Joshua Becker who said 'The more stuff you own, the more your stuff owns you'. Life is for living and experiencing. As far as sentimental objects or 'inherited clutter', it takes time to go through, but one has to be realistic about keeping everything and who to pass them on to. I'm a great believer in letting go and lightening the load, if things can be sold, much rather do that, and enjoy spending the money on a trip I can cherish with loved ones.
