- How to repair bubbled, warped or chipped veneer on a vintage dresser to get it ready to paint. What products to use, how two apply them, and how to get a super smooth finish so when you paint the vintage dresser, the patched areas will be imperceptible!

i am actually watching this for including a different painting technique in my artworks lol so satisfying!
Thank you! This is just what I was looking for.
Thank you very much for your video. I now have a plan of attack for a piece I'm working on.
Excellent video, and a big help!
Thank you! I have a dresser and nightstand that I want to paint.
Good for you. Well done and nice job.
Can you tell me what type of wood and/or veneer this is? Thx!
You go girl, well done.
So do you have to sand the veneer before you paint it like regular wood? 👍
Will the patched areas flash through the paint ?
Thank you for the video!
Do you sand in between coats?
The other way involves real work and skills. Shabby Chic is the poison Ivy of Antique Malls

You make it look so easy ☺️
What color wood filler did you use please?
Try DAP wood plastic filler. Looks the same as what she used. I used it to repair the same depth of chipped veneer from a wood dresser shelf
What grit sandpaper did you use?
220, I think she had in the text.
You aren’t repairing veneer.
Omg!! Painting veneer and antique furniture!!! The thought of someone ruining antique furniture makes me sick!! Painted furniture is tacky alone by its self.
No kidding. There won't be much antiques from today as the furniture made today for the most part is crap!!!
@@margaretdellinger2872 exactly, just paint that crap furniture (pottery barn, RH, etc) and leave the solid wood furniture that crafts men made alone.
@@jessirvington1946 not to mention Ikea...the ruler of furniture today. Oh yeah, Rooms to go! lol
From someone working in an antique mall, It's bad. We purposely filter anymore. I have un-shabby chic'd so many things being mostly frames and put them back to gold gilding. It is a process but I dont know how ppl can slap chalk paint on something a real craftsman created.
@@cincy.a.l.w3219 I totally agree, as we can only hope that one day someone will take the paint off and put it back where it belongs. Still nothing like the original finish kept intact as much as possible though.
Who does a video and does not finish what they are doing
She finished what the title of the video is. The next steps are in another video.
