- I took my brand new 2024 Road Glide 3,415 miles, over 11 days, covering 8 states and thin I did the Iron Butt home. I have some thoughts on this big new change to the Harley-Davidson touring line.
Nice review with focused comments based on personal experience.
Appreciate that brother. Ride safe.
Great video brother, I really like the new bike. I also had issues with my apple carplay on mine. It’s been at the HD dealer for 1 week. But it’s still a great improvement from the last models.
There was an update that came out in May that fixed a big issue they were having where the radio muted and you couldn’t get it to play without pulling the fuse. I am pretty sure the issue I talked about in this video is with Cardo.
Hey man, good video. I bought my 24 Road Glide about 3 months ago and have 5K on it. Like you, I think Harley nailed it on these 24 touring bikes.
That’s awesome man. Enjoy the ride. I am slowly making a list of the upgrades I plan to do on mine.
New harley- davidson..... to match electronic 😊tv screen for what?
I am confused by your comment.
Friction Zone shaved his vent switch, to open it up more.
Interesting.
I hear this a lot and just saw it in this video too. The mentality that "it is a stock item, it is what it is" ... No... I do not agree with that. I just paid 30k for a frkin motorcycle, put a fkin decent seat on... like any other non Harley manufacturer. speakers that I can hear... I've met some wonderful people who owns 23+ CVOs and they complain about the seat too. I mean just look at it, it is paper thin. I mean wtf... so what if it is stock? If I buy a new car, and the seat is messed up, I am taking that back. It is not gonna be, it is what it is... and btw, my truck was 24k USD when I bought it, adjusting for the inflation, it is the same price as a two wheel mass produced Harley motorcycle... wtf Harley
I am a long time HD supporter and will always own one but I agree with you. Part of me wonders if they don’t bother putting the time into developing better accessories like seats, speakers, and such due to the large aftermarket. But who knows what goes through the minds of the engineers at HD. Ride safe brother.
The seat is awful...24 Street Glide. But I get it, everyone changes them out, along with the windshield.
I’ve been hearing you gotta put 3k miles or more to break in the seat.
@@thanosetsitty1896 I call BS...
Yeah I believe the large aftermarket has a little bit to do with HD not putting too much energy into stuff like the seat, stereo and other little things that are swapped out pretty quickly after purchase.
@@thanosetsitty1896that must be a new seat thing. My 2019 RGS had 20K on the seat and it always sucked. Swapped it for a Saddleman right before I traded it.
i customize my mustang seat to work
Can you tell us what you did & how? What Mustang seat?
@@amberbali8881 i remove the rivets of the seat cover from the front to half way back i pulled the cover back out of the way and with a multitool i cut the plastic off where the seat wraps around the tank going back about 6 inches. i cut about 3/4 to an 1 inch off to nothing back about 6 inches. then pulled the seat cover back over and re pop rivet after pull the cover tight. i hope this makes sense
the problem is there a new design on the side cover which comes up higher
@@timnevitt2993 Thanks. I have thought about using a older style side cover also. Frame is the same but tank is wider. Did you also have to alter the square hole in the front of the seat to work with the new front mounting at the rear of the tank?
@@amberbali8881 yes i cut off part of the metal on gas tank
Harley-davidson knocked it out of the park with the 2024 models! Super nice bikes!!
I am loving mine so far. Looking forward to making a lot more content with it whether it’s rides or upgrades.
Buy two and store one. Then you can have a parts bike to replace all the components who will eventually fail probably within the first 5 years. HD is nose diving
Well I guess time will tell.
Hasn't been my experience with any of my last 4 HD's I've owned, nor with anyone I know so I don't know where you concocted that nonsense...
