Man I wasn’t even alive at that time and this song makes me nostalgic. I had my emo phase wayyy early, at like age 8. 😂 I still acknowledge now at 14 this is an amazing song

Man, this album really brings back the nostalgia from middle school. I burned so many CD's back then and this one was 100% in the mix.
I think this was his prime of addiction If I remember correctly this song was about using drugs and how it hates it and loves it at the same time
The video & lyrics suggest it's about a relationship with a person. Drugs can't love or hate you back... I think you're basing that an the fan lore & quotes put on websites that try to glorify the song as being some sorta complex metaphor.

@Chris Topher the way it was made was for people to relate to it. So it could be about drugs alcohol and a hole lot more, but for the writer, it was about his drug addiction and how he hated it
The song is a vibe. I knew it since I was a baby and my mom knew it for a while as well. I'm 15 and this song is a big part of my life, great song to rockout to y'all 👏

I'm glad more colored folk are getting into rock and metal, I grew up in mostly black schools and always got grief for my "white boy" music. Glad those racial music barriers are dropping. Bad wolves, fire from the gods, killswitch engage. Great bands with colored folk rocking it hard af. Please let's keep this trend going, all music should be for all people who wanna listen!
