I own an American Pitbul Terrier she is 9 years old and I have never had an issue with her other than wanting to chase a cat. She for some reason does not like cats?? I made sure to socialize her at a very young age with other dogs and people. So far so good, she is actually a big baby. LOL I do take precautions when walking her and she is not allowed to be off leash at parks or anywhere in public just to be safe. I feel the dog owner needs to be loving, caring a Fully Responsible for their dogs behavior period. It's up to me to make sure anyone around us is safe when we are in public irregardless of what breed my dog is and to make sure weight wise you are able to handle the weight of your dog. Your dog must NEVER out weigh you, you must be able to handle your dogs weight and behavior. Also, I researched her breed way before getting her and I thought about it for a year before getting her.

The American pit bull can be lovable lap dogs as with any dog it depends on the up bringing and care. Also as with other dogs they need to know they are not the alpha. Socializing them starting early and often helps them not be afraid of strangers. I have a friend who keeps them and biggest blue one wants to climb up and sit on my lap with her head burning my chest every time I see her. I grew up with Chow Chows they also get the bad reputation from terrible keepers. They phrase “owner” needs to go! We are their caretakers, keepers, or companions. They are not like cars or other material objects they living loving beings and should be seen and treated as such.

Read the name properly if you don't know the type of dog. It's ''Neapolitan Mastiff '' & not ''Napoleon'' as you have clearly pronounced.
