They are loyal but not stupid! They are not going to start a fight just because! They are cautious and approach people friendly unless you do something to make them think different! And they “Do” make good watch dogs! You just need to know how to train and do it, get them a small dog that barks to bond with, then just someone try to break into your house, I dare you! My wolfhounds have killed 5 coyotes, treed two black bears, chased off one Mountain lion, and twice treed criminals trying to break into my house! And caught too many squirrels and rabbits to count!
