It made me happy that he still owns the 2 Home improvement Hot Rods :)
And the "Binford 6100" impala ss, I'll admit I was a bit obsessed with that car as a 15 year old.
Yeah, and I thought he sold to Papa Mia the pizza guy.
Right my wife kids raised all kinds jokes about me selling are bronco during that episode ...hope I get another one day
Wish he still had "Jill's" 55 nomad.
@@davidsantos8206 but that mean I-beam incident... :O (yeah i know it was a fake car)
I could listen to Tim Allan all day long. My childhood would not be the same without home improvement . what a legend.
Same here
right on, man. I need to watch these a few more times.
i put it x2 still got bored just skipped through lol.... love his shows but i dont know all but 3 cars were not interesting to me. but not judging they like what thye like.
home improvement was the best tv show lol
My childhood insomnia helped me learn the importance of Tim Allen and Home improvement on late night Nick at nite (night time nickelodeon) . A legend.
The most interesting part of this to me was Tim’s honesty about these cars. Even though they are his cars and he’s proud of them he still Admits they’re not perfect.
Yep, neither is he or any of us! We are all sinners! I love real people. Tim is a real person. God bless him.
And admits he's not perfect about the knowledge either. Him talking about flatheads is perfect example.
@@billbutler6926 Tim is a real honest car guy, like Jay is. There's NO NEED to interject your stupid "We are all sinners" religious mess into this discussion.
I live in a big city, and I can call people nearby of probably 4-6 different faiths to debate you on what you said Bill Butler
@@guytansbariva2295 so only your free speech counts and is permissible? Really?
@@billbutler6926 Come on Bill, across America, free speech is the norm. But when someone starts talking about Biblical things, sinners, hell, etc people tune out. And with GOOD REASON. People aren't as ignorant as they were 500 years ago. Oh my, there's a belief called Buddhism? Or Judaism? Or Islam? Or Agnosticism, or even....DOG forbid Atheism.
You called us sinners in your original post, which is insulting. Please describe how your God sees us? With all of his/her other faiths around the world? Lol amateur
before this video i had never heard the phrase "goes like squirt". I've now heard it 217 times.
Hershey?
LMAO 🤣 I know
Squirt💦
I heard the word Ascot 2x
Lol I couldn’t agree more, but I guarantee I’ll start using it 😂😂
Tim’s 68 Camaro is so good, still one of my favorites after all these years.
They covered that one pretty thoroughly on Jay's channel. It's a beauty...
Agree I bet that thing hauls
What a privilege to get a tour of Tim's garage. I love the humor and how honest Tim is. Thank you!
Tim, please don't go WOKE like Leno.
Love his TV shows, and now his garrage also. I agree!
Thanks for showing this Tim....and thank you for being outspoken in a world like yours. Stay the course my friend because you are appreciated by more folks than you might even know.
One of the few "Hollywood" guys that, what ever he does, I enjoy. Just seems like a really great person.
He isn't a "Hollywood" guy. They even cancelled his successful TV show a couple of years ago because he refused to cave into the PC culture. He seems to be one of the few regular guys in the CA scene.
@@notsosilentmajority1 yeah, they got him again. It's the last season for Last Man Standing.
@@leeniemann7955
Unbelievable.
As the famous Dr.Zachary Smith would say ........ "we're doomed, doomed I tell you".
It really is crazy.
Good lord, just leave the politics out of it. I'm a leftist, and I still like Tim Allen, despite our different views
@@showsjohn it was well known that ABC cancelled the show because they didn't like his sarcastic remarks on the democrats. Same way they got rid of Roseanne Barr.
Mr Allen is not only a gentleman and a scholar but he is down to earth and enjoyable to listen to. He’s a great curator and even a better car collector! This was an amazing insight into the mans collection. Thank you
He was also a drug dealer and a snitch in the 80's. But that's all forgotten right ? I'm a fan of him since I was a kid. He's the definition of getting a second chance at life and making the best of it.
scholar? Lets not overstate it.

Tim cocaine allen
@@BrandonBowditch the term "gentleman and a scholar"? That's been around for hundreds of years.
Joe Pesci impression absolutely nailed it Tim 👌
Tim used to live in the city that I do, Sterling Heights Michigan. I wish he met my dad! I hope to meet Tim some day!
That blue hotrod that was the first one on Home Improvement holds a special place in my life/heart. Not only did I grow up watching Home Improvement and that was the show I sat down and watched with my parents and bonded (which that hotrod just screams Home Improvement to me) but I just love the look of that car.
Same here as soon as i saw that it reminded me of watching home improvement as a kid. Good times!
It took a cheesy tv sit- com show to bond with your parents? That's got to
Be a real head scratcher . Most children bond with parents just because their your parents.
@@jackhammer7824 You really hate yourself don't you.
Tim should have a show called Not Jay Leno's Garage
1 mile away from Jay Lenos Garage Show
Except jay knows his stuff Tim not so much all the talk on the 32 Ford they built and he doesn’t even care for it then why didn’t they build a 70s car like he likes
@@Floreypottery yeah Tim is a poser. Jay is the real deal.
Tim the Rat Taylor's contemptuous garage
@@mobiledevto I disagree
“Nothing like having no brakes...“ Enjoy listening to Tim Allen
You’re the best Tim. So happy to have watched you all these years.
I loved his verbal explanation on his cars. I really enjoyed his cars.
I have learned that we car guys are caretakers of cars. We say we own them but actually we are just keeping them for the next person to enjoy. We all die one day and then they go to another caretaker/ owner. Tim and Jay are great caretakers. Neither one is young :^( and neither am I.
@Donna di Lode you are exactly right, my car / garage is the biggest part of my life, short of my children. I pray that my " things " end up in capable hands not recycled in scrap. Drive safe and be well my friend in automotive lifestyle.
@Donna di Lode it will take a very special and skilled person to care for my car. It is very modified and has very high horsepower, electronics and such. It will be auctioned off and sold over and over or tore down to sell off pieces. My truck is very driveable and may survive.
One of my favorite car Collections, and Tim is one of my favorite actors ..the guy was a fish out of water ..a real bad ass polished up...love it
a fish out of water?
@@Lost_n_Found_1 his background and then to acting , who would think Tim Allen go from smuggling cocaine on planes to hanging out with jay leno - fish out of water
Nothing like Tim Allen....his realism makes listening to him Greatly appreciated
You know your car collection is STOUT, when there is a PART 2!
LEGEND! LOVE IT
I never thought much of Tim Allen until now. His collection is dwarfed by Jay's, but Tim has real racing/driving/mechanical experience which gives him a lot of credibility.
Jay was a certified GM mechanic for years. He's quite knowledgeable about cars.
credibility? Jay is a walking encyclopedia on cars and can drive just about anything with wheels.
Tim Allen is a good guy. I like movies with him. He knows a lot about cars and talks interestingly, with humor and without showing off.
Just a good person, it's nice to listen to him. Thank you Tim for sharing your collection!
I love that Falcon ❤
No wonder we don't hear from tim allen any more he enjoying his quiet life with his epic cars wow. I lost for words
I love how you walked past that Tesla!
That's probably his 'main driver' now, and he's somewhat embarrassed by it...
@@devildog5354 Tim should order the new 1,100 HP Tesla Model S. Goes 200 MPH, and pulls 60 MPH in under 2 seconds. Needs almost zero maintenance. Cheaper to fuel than a Prius. I wonder what Tim would find to hate about that.
@@paulrybarczyk5013 A faster golf cart? Not enough moving parts? (laughing)...
@@paulrybarczyk5013 so an even more faster golf cart I guess
@David Galea Comparing today's gasoline cars to a Tesla is kind of like comparing the most-refined 1950's steam-engines to a new bullet-train. I think they're both cool, but in different ways. The gasoline car designers have proven themselves to be incredible at overcoming so many of the core deficiencies and limitations of that legacy technology. Imagine the cars they will be able to create once they're not hindered by that big loud complex heavy hot unreliable slow weak gasoline powertrain monstrosity.
Words I never thought I'd hear Tim Allen say - "god is that car loud"...
I appreciate Tim's time and tour. Thanks Petersen's!
Tim your ability to keep our attention in your story telling is amazing. I’m looking forward to more . Enjoy your ability as we do
I'm in the car restoration business Tim has a nice collection but you seen one you seen them all, now that early semi truck now that is something interesting we have one of the best antique truck show here in PA and it's fascinating to see how many different brands we're out there.
So start your own collection
The Shelby GT350H is a Hertz model, not Hurst. It was a limited edition from the Hertz rental company in 1966 which they also made another run of with the release of the "new" mustang in 2006.
He flubbed the info on quite a few cars, but this one bothers me the most...
Don't tell ewe toobe.
I was wondering if anyone would catch that. If he owns it I sure he knows what it is. After all he is a comedian probably did it wrong on purpose.
True. Surprised, that Tim didn't know that. Maybe he mispoke or had a "senior moment"? The color scheme makes them stand out as the "Hertz" ones.
I saw a few newer Hertz yellow Camero sports car used for NASCAR 🏁. They sold them online for $38000-40000.
I love Tim Allen.... His show, Home Improvement was the funniest show ever on television..... I knew he was friends with Leno, but I didn't know he had a car collection himself. The two Home Improvement hot rods were the best!!!
Man I love Tim Allen, so many good memories watching home improvement with the family when I was a kid and he has great taste in cars to boot.
I love the subliminal voice that comes in when he talks about a specific car
Is it just me or does the voiceover sound like Joe Biden?
Bobby + That’s what I was thinking. He’s channeling Beijing Biden. 🤣
Does it go like squirt ?
Who said money can’t buy happiness ?
@@kwhite145 He trashes almost all the cars for one thing or another so not sure how happy he is
Is anyone else intrigued by Tim's wife, I need to see her talk about the cars she likes.
I had to look her up after he called her a 'Navy SEAL' (laughing)...
Yeah that would be interesting
His daughter is into the VIC build, she sure takes after her Dad.
You have to admire any lady whose favorite cars are a lifted Bronco and what is basically a Nova stock car road registered.
I love that he has something different to say about each car. He has true car taste and can experience each vehicle uniquely. That’s what I love about cars.
I'm a Detroiter like Tim, same vintage, love his perspective on cars and positive attitude for collecting them. Well of course he has plenty of resources, but the rest of us auto junkies enjoy our vintage muscle cars, modern muscle, and grand touring cars as best we can on our budgets. Thanks Peterson Museum for this look at Tim Allen's garage!
His passion for these beautiful old cars is awesome.
Awesome collection. Love to see someone using cars for what they are meant to and not as museum pieces. Cars are meant to be driven people!
Tim Allen screams 90’s nostalgia no matter what role he plays and it’s always perfect!
Thankyou for showing us your wonderful car collection sir and thankyou for years of excellent entertainment.
I sincerely wish you and your loved ones, very long lives, filled with love, good health and contentment.
Be safe and well Mr Allen.

That 46 Ford Custom is SAAWEEEEET!!
I got my first model car to build to look as close to the blue home improvement hot rod as I could find I loved that car so much as a kid
Thanks for sharing Tim and thanks for the years of Laugh you have given myself and my family! There is no way to tell you how much we appreciate all the laughs!
I miss the home improvement show, and how easy my life was back then....
Amen to that brother !! WOW have things changed. And not all for the better. Best to you and yours.
I would love to know if the area of Detroit Home Improvement was set in is now abandoned. I don't think they ever mentioned a suburb or area. Just Detroit
God bless you Tim and thank you for sharing your cars with me! Blessings~
"period fast" is a thing. alot of people dont understand it.
Except if you own a Mer 300SEL 6.3 . There is no time period for fast or torque.
I agree
I totally get it. I used to have a Mk1 Golf GTI. Very quick hot hatch back in the early 80's. Now you might describe it as "nippy".
Save tim allen at all costs 🙏
Tim, you are absolutely hilarious & absolutely honest when describing cars--you should start your own CZcams channel like Jay--I'm sure you would have millions of viewers as he does, & as with Jay I would be one of them. :)
I love the props that are Easter egged in this place. Home Improvement and Binford signage. Even some Pirate Burger swag from Crazy on the Outside lol 😁 Beautiful wall spread of tools. I expected no less
Awesome to see how passionate he is about cars and that he actually can and does work on them himself.
Grew up on Home Improvement.... used to watch it together as a family when I was a kid. Lost both of my parents at young ages and seeing/ hearing Tim makes me reminisce if the good old days!
Congrats on your success Tim. Love the Cobras. Drive em like I know you do
i'm always anxiously awaiting the next plane flying overhead! tim's authenticity, and laid-back presentation makes this accumulation of vehicles an awesome experience. the COPO camaro, as shown intimately.
Yeah! When I saw C O P O on the fender, I almost cheered out loud! I also like how he said he tore down, then rebuilt most of his cars sometimes improving them! My man! I would probably do the exact same thing if I had the money...
I grew up watching home improvement. Nice to see he still has the hotrods from the show.
GT-350H, H for Hertz. Not Hurst. It was a Hertz rental car when it was new.
True. Surprised, that Tim didn't know that. Maybe he mispoke or had a "senior moment"? The color scheme makes them stand out as the "Hertz" ones.
I was going to point out tye same thing but figured someone had to have already done it. And he said it more than once so I'm thinking of he reads this he may be finding out something new. Nah, thats impossible, everyone knows the H is for Hertz
Yeah - that is such a unique detail that I'm honestly surprised by the mistake. I actually listened to it a couple times to make sure I heard it right. Tim seems like a nice guy, but lets just agree - he's no Jay Leno!
@@TroysAntiqueAutoRepair You know, they are very good friends. That's why Jay is on his show so often.

Way to cool !!!!!! I still have my 57 Chevy I bought in 1963. I redid it about 10 years ago. All black. When the time comes, I hope who ever gets it, is a great caretaker.
Always thought Tim Allen was a cool guy. Him and Jay Leno need to make a couple more videos🍺👍
They did its called "Last Man Standing"
Love that Caddy Timmy!
Thanks for sharing-
It's clear that he has a very intimate relationship with automobiles in general (especially with those that were apart of his life). It is also clear that he knows what he is taking about because the nuance in the things that bother him about the cars is exactly that.
Very cool video
I had a 1979 Fleetwood Brougham in 1989. I loved that car. 425 V8 with a dove gray leather interior.
Oh bot, this is a great series, thanks to Tim Allen and Petersen Automotive Museum for doing it. I love Tim Allen, this is the first time I'm noticing when he starts going on about things, he is getting eccentric like Jeff Goldblum. Love it.
Another awesome share Petersen! LOVE the COPO Camaro Tim!
If I owned all those cars...I would trade them all for the Camaro. I LOVE that beauty 🤟❤️
Again Tim, well done. Your beautiful museum will die with us Sir.
Tim definitely had a few before this filming. I can tell because I am in that sweet spot on Friday night where I had a few and I can tell he's ahead of me. Very awesome collection!
Thank you. I didn't want to be the only one to say it. I've seen Tim speak about his cars often, and he would have never said GT350 hurst. No judgement, just an observation. Now, back to my single malt.
oh wow the two home improvement builds!
I Totally remember those on the show growing up

Very greatfull someone got Tim to do this! Thank you very well done!
Thank you Petersen and Mr. Allen for allowing us to share such an outstanding collection. Great stories for each car, not just bought but experienced.
Glad to see u still have those 2 cars from home improvement. They are icons.
I worked on his last show for the past 9 years and he would drive most of these to the set every so often . The 55 ford business coupe he mentions at the end of this video is amazing , the attention to detail is incredible . Ive got tons of pics from his shop you see in the video and on set but there is no way to post here
You are a lucky bastard
Thanks to Tim for the tour and description of your fantastic car collection. There are definitly some incredible iconic machines in your collection, and they are beautiful!
That black Cadillac is awesome, and the GTO and '96 Impala, Nova, and COPO Camaro are all bad ass.
Always good times with Tim’s productions.
What a nice collection Tim, thank you for sharing it.
Love Tim's car collection.Love the diversity in his garage.Great selection of motor's with interesting stories attached!! 👌👌👌👌
Love Tims comment about the Mustang 350 Hearst saying "you can't back it up" - made me laugh as it's so true and the shifter and brakes are hard work but still a great car. The visibility out the back of a fastback leaves a lot to be desired. At least he can choose another fabulous car for the next trip.....
Literally has my three favorite cars of all-time. The GTO, Cobra & Jag E-Type.
my dad had the caddy setting by the Hurst Mustang and yes best of caddy my uncle drove nothing but after the ww2 my granddad love Chevys, love all the cars you got and your comedy
It's great to know he is a real car guy
I had a 1979 Fleetwood Brougham in the late 1980's. It had the 425 with a Turbo 400 trans. Black exterior and dove gray leather interior.
Tim's love & passion for cars is something we should all be so fortunate to have. One healthy obsession is often the greatest reason on earth to get out of bed & say "What new adventure is next up for me?" That's a life worth living in my opinion. Sure you got family to look after & other obligations to tend to & that's often all the best things to have. However all of those things are just a small piece of what life really embodies. If any of that makes sense to anyone out there in the big, bad, rough & tumble world. Find your passion it may very well save your life or give you a new purpose in life.
Great tour, thanks!
I still don’t forgive the Nomad massacre by I-beam steel girder.
It wasn't the real car.Barely even a shell painted to look like the Nomad. At the end of that episode he even shows the undamaged car and said there's no way they would've crushed it.
