Monster Jam is aimed at kids or families mainly, so it can't be too complex or difficult. This should be compared to Cars 3 if anything.

My first Monster jam Game, I'm half way unlocking the trucks. Driving is fun, very arcade but not easy. It's jumping and roll with ease, but having control or the luck to land on your 4 wheels is the key of the game. Stages and race modes and are cool, presentation could've been better. Truck details look great, world aspect is not. Has ONLINE Multiplayer unlike first game. For a THQ game, it delivers.

The original one was pretty fun, but this sequel just looks like an expansion pack sold as a whole new game. Besides the new themed environments, nothing else appears to have changed.
no no no , its actually great , theres much more to do and more worlds with many secrets. The second one made many necessary changes so thats why its not just an expansion to the first also many more trucks added and skins.

The best Monster Truck game was Monster Truck Madness 2. It has a 12 player battle royale king of the hill mode, way ahead of it's time and I'm surprised it's never been replicated since then

Dirt 5 has motorstorm developers as part of it, its got a similar vibe at times.

Sadly that's almost all of the Monster Jam licensed games.
Problem with these monster truck games is that there is not a huge demand for a monster truck game so less effort is put into the game.

it's not that there's no demand is just that these companies are not willing to take the risk with a proper budget so the games end up just being low budget...if for once they made a monster truck game with high budget and effort it would sell like crazy

It’s GREAT FOR 4-6 year old, the open world part is Perfect for them

they should make like a build your own monster truck game, kind of like the scrap mechanic but with monster trucks , it's a simple concept but it works you just build your monster truck then you test it or you build your monster truck based on whatever the mission is asking you to do.

Imo, it ain't worth the money. It gets boring and repetitive quick, it's literally just the first game all over again but with a few more maps and a couple trucks added. Better off buying beamng drive and having much more fun with that.

Monster trucks is like american wrestling... Its the cartoonish children's version of a reality that never really existed. Its weird as hell and I'm AMAZED that these things still exist.

Not as bad as this guy says. Monster Jam Champion is more pure. But way harder for my 6 year old. But neither of These games don’t seem to cater to their biggest fans. 6year old kids. My kid can’t log on and just drive Grave Digger! That’s all he wants to do. Disappointed

My son loves this game! And this is bad review, because there is a playground mode where you unlock all cars without having to go through the events. Really really poor review!!!

1: How can you be a professional game reviewer and hate fun so much? IGN is already considered a joke by most people who actually play games, maybe you guys should stick to games like CoD since you love that garbage so much.

The first was okay
It's so insane to give a serious review to a game that's literally made for babies. Like of course it's boring and lacks any serious objectives, it's for babies lol
It's litterily for adults and some publishers don't make babies games anymore
@@karinadelma actually it's for kids and adults, monster jam itself is known for being super family friendly and all ages (attend an event and you will see how many things for kids they do). To expect the game to not also have kids in mind is kind of dumb IMHO.
So what kids like to play yeah but then you have people who play it for content
