I remember playing Lineage 2 in the early 2000's, and i mained an Orc Warcryer. Never thought i was the bad guy or that i was "impersonating" a black character. It was just me identifying myself with the character on screen. Not to mention the orc race had probably the best looking characters in game... except maybe dwarves... and female dark elves, if you know what i mean kek. Then again, i don't expect Extra Credit to know much about gaming, even if their channel is posing as a "gaming" channel. Probably the only reference they got in fantasy RPG's is WoW.

The weird thing is, 20 years ago they said games should cost more because of piracy, and that piracy is killing the industry. Since then the games industry has almost tripled in size and revenue. The difference is though that back then AAA studios released quality games. Now AAA is synonimous with garbage and microtransactions.

To be honest light elves aren’t necessarily great people. I’ve seen plenty of stories with light elves that are narcissistic, smug, and believe that they are better then others. The traits that specific races have in fantasy are just a part of the genre, and it makes it even more interesting when they have a character that breaks those conventions.

The Kaiser had no political power anymore, the Weimar Republic was a failure, and along comes a party that's promising to restore a battered nation back to glory and preaches how great it's nation and people are, which makes sense when you consider the vast contributions that the German people made to industrialization, philosophy, economics, and martial doctrine. Furthermore, just because someone is a fascist does not mean they are bad or evil. I don't agree with the ideology but I can agree with some aspects of it and I recognize that in some cultures it is the most viable option for a successful or at least cohesive nation.

Fairly sure most of the Wehrmacht didnt give two shits about Hitler, especially after 1941. And Wehrmacht was the majority, obviously. Not to mention german pilots had way more class than allied or soviets. They didnt shoot unarmed men falling with a parachute, for example.

Bit of lore for the DND nerds. Orcs AREN'T inherently evil. Weird right? Now don't think that means I agree with extra credits. If they had actually spent time to read up on orcs in the (What I think Extra Credits is pointing too) DND mythos. You'd know that orcs are mainly controlled by the orc god Gruumsh. Who forces them to BE violent, savages, raiders who plunder and pillage. There are definitely orcs who CAN go outside the norm (Just look at half-orcs). But they are ALWAYS called by Gruumsh to fight, pillage, and fight some more. It's a calling that orcs experience CONSTANTLY AND WITHOUT END.
So yeah. Try to talk to that orc raiding tribe that attacked the village. I'm sure Gruumsh will tone down to "MURDER AND FEAST ON THEIR ENTRAILS" for just a minute for diplomatic discussion.
