Most of the reason people sound like that is they are in rooms to fit the sound. :) that guy sounds so good because he is in a recording studio. I'm not judging him at all. This guy is amazing. :) but that's why he sounds so good.

If he were a bad trumpeter, no recording studio could make him sound good. The studio (I have recorded in studio before) simply insures the best likelihood of capturing the pure sound being made, without distortion from outside "silent" sounds.
