Sevendust hail from Georgia, and they still have their original line-up today after 25+ years actively recording & touring... The band was formed as Crawlspace in the 90's and appeared on the 'Mortal Kombat' movie soundtrack in 1995 (the song 'My ruin')...but changed the name to Sevendust in 1997 for their 1st album. The band: Lajon Witherspoon (lead vocals), Morgan Rose (drums & vocals), Clint Lowery (guitar/vocals), John Connelly (guitar) & Vince Hornsby (bass)
Touring consistently into 1998, Sevendust's 1st album sold over a half million copies in the US and went gold. 2nd and 3rd albums went gold as well in the US - 'Home' (1999) and 'Animosity' (2001) ... Sadly, Lajon was on tour when tragedy hit his life - his brother Reginald was killed in Georgia, and the band returned home in 2002. They emerged in 2003 w/ the 'Seasons' album... but guitarist Clint Lowery (after Lajon's loss) left the band to work w/ his brother Corey Lowery on the band Dark New Day.
Guitarist Sonny Mayo came in and did the next 3 Sevendust albums ('Next' in 2005, 'Alpha' in 2007, and 'Chapter VII: Hope & sorrow' in 2008) before Clint Lowery returned in '08.
The original Sevendust was back on tour in 2008, then recorded 'Cold day memory' in 2010... 'Black out the sun' in 2013.
Sevendust had an acoustic side and had the acoustic record 'Southside Double wide' in 2004, so they did another acoustic record "Time travelers & bonfires' in 2014, followed by an acoustic tour.
Their last 3 studio albums have all charted and sold well in the US - 'Kill the flaw' (2015), 'All I see is war' (2018) and 'Blood & stone' (2020)

Sevendust never stopped touring (pre-pandemic) or recording new music... "Blood & stone" was their new album in 2020. "All I see is war" (this album) was in 2018... 'Kill the flaw' came out in 2015.
July 28... new album Truth Killer comes out.

There's a reason this band has the most dedicated fans. Like LJ says at at the shows, "It's a family reunion". Many of us have been following since the 90's. I can go to a show 4 states away from home and know people there. I have formed long lasting friendships via Sevendust. The guys are all so amazingly kind to their fans. And Happy birthday to Morgan Rose. 🤘
