Good luck everyone. Passed my test today 14/02/2024 on my second attempt with 2 minors. Couldn’t really afford an instructor so I thought myself in my home country in our compound before coming here. Failed the test the first time because I didn’t see the light change from green to amber so by the time I was crossing it was already red & I got a major fault for jumping the traffic light & 3 minors. I was so disappointed because it was close to the test centre where I was about to finish my test, so in a nut shell, I failed almost at the very end. However this time around I was more focused & confident. My examiner & I talk all the way through 😅
Good luck everyone ! I’ve passed my driving test on my 6th attempt after trying 3 times with my driving instructor and failed I decided to try with my own car I manage to pass at my third attempt, and to be honest examinor do feel stressed when they don’t have any control of the situation.. and I could feel his stress and ending up stress even more… on my last successful attempt I just spoke to them as if I was talking to myself on all the actions that I was going to take and could definitely feel that it reassured them cause they knew exactly what was going in my head… I thought I would never gonna make it, I am a very anxious person and hate exams…
i don't have any family with a car or a licence so had to pay for lessons over 70 hours at this point my last test was cancelled due to snow was like a gut punch but am determined to get this done now
Great tips, I also had an examiner called Chris last year who was really chatty but that suited me as I love to chat and he put me at ease as he was so friendly. I said I’d like to chat but if I needed to focus on something I’d go quiet, we chatted and even a few jokes and I did pass. My instructor said I could pass if I could control the nerves which I did.
That's amazing Alison congratulations! 👏 Yes it's nice when they put you at ease. It really helps with the nerves as long as you don't let it distract you.
Passed 3 weeks ago with 5 minors. Honestly don’t be scared of the examiner, if you can chat and stay focused at the same time it will take your mind away from the occasion. They are not scary, I stalled and corrected myself and my examiner told me to take a deep breath. Just relax and do your best
The exact same as me. I passed today, stalled, and thought I failed early in test. Was sat talking to him about motorbikes throughout the test. Got to the end and I said "Listen, I know I failed but the thing that gets me mad is how long you have to wait between tests". He turns to me and says "What have you failed on?". I passed with two minors. I legit shouted and was so happy.

Saw the P plate in the thumbnail and wondered what everyone’s experience is using these? I took my daughter for 25 hours, in addition to instructor based lessons, she passed last week with 3 minors. During lessons I was surprised to learn how recklessly people drive around a learner. Pulling out in front of them, racing to get ahead of them and swerving in, not letting them out or move across. Ironically, people weren’t giving her an easy time, they were more reckless… Anything to get ahead. I worry that P plates attract the same mentally from the idiot brigade, and having them would actually achieve the opposite….

Hi Josh, just wanted to say a big thank you for your driving test videos. They helped me get my full practical license here in New Zealand as an international license holder. I just made it today:) your tips were spot on and really made a difference. Thanks a bunch!
Had a test at 8:20 and they cancel it at 7:30 same day. Next test available is in over a month and instructor won’t give me money back for hiring his car for the test. Thanks dvsa
Yeh that's awful if you contact the dvsa and explain that they may refund you for the instructor. Can't promise but definitely worth ago if they cancelled
I recently failed adi pt2 test, think it was nerves and confidence. No reason though to be nervous or not confident, I drive about 800 miles per week, to quite a good standard. I did things on the test that I never do on my own, or on my driving lessons leading up to the test. Forgetting speed limits on roads I use daily, passing speed limit signs and instantly forgetting what it said.
Happens all the time including me. I was just lucky I passed but I remember saying the examiner "I'm unbelievable nervous" and he was just like "focus on the road" 😆
I live in the 2nd hardest place to drive round which is Bradford but I'm starting my lessons on the way to getting a license for the sake of my career prospeects. But I love these tips and it has boosted my confidence. :)
Well on the comment about never going to see that examiner again. Not for me! I've failed 5x in a row now and gone through them all and 1 I've had twice now. I've been having lessons on/off for 10 years and my instructor is confident I can drive and I just seem to always have 1 small blip on my test. I don't talk and only if they speak to me while we are waiting at traffic lights as in chit chat. I always know when I've failed because they ALWAYS start trying to chat to me after my serious at the next traffic lights we come to. I have Autism ans ADHD so I think that's why it's taking me so long as I drive almost perfect now on lessons and with other people. But the change in routine with a test I think it causes my head to go into overload knowing I'm on a test. Others I've spoken to with ASD and ADHD have said it's took them up to 9x to pass so I have hope. But then I've seen videos where people have said once you've failed 3x somethings seriously wrong and you shouldn't drive so that made me feel like rubbish. Its one of my main bucket list goals before I die and I can't even do that :(
Very sorry to hear that dragon fire. Yes it might be a massive overload but you are not the only one out there and you can definitely still do it. Just have to see it as a 10k rather than a sprint😁. My Mum and Dad have actually been taking me out driving for over 3 years now and both have said "You'll Pass no problems" and I still feel nervous. I've never had an accident, I've had my temper tested before but learnt to stop and control it, still learning minor mistakes my Dad noticed and fixing those mistakes by practising whilst I drive. My Mum has fallen asleep at times when I'm taking her out for a drive into the countryside, and she even mentions that I drive better then my Dad, who is an absolute meance on the roads I can tell you. This video actually calmed me down a lot

The driving standards of students released over the last 20 years has dropped by far. No awareness of their surroundings, no courtesy to other road users, relying too much on modern technology spacial awareness is shocking. A 3 point turn turns out to be a 19 point turn. the list goes on. The standards of some are way below par from a driver that had been taught years ago. There are many drivers should not be on the road, even after they have passed their test !!

You have to just keep getting out there. My sister in law was the same 5 years ago but she's okay now. It just takes time. Lots of small journeys out your comfort zone.
In my driving test I ended up chatting to my examiner during slower easier village roads but then I got to the tricky roundabouts and faster roads it was complete silence
One of the instructors I had, accused me of fraud because I was 16 in my picture ID which look different to what I look like now at 23. She made me more nervous as a result before my test began.
@@JoshRamwell thank you for replying. I am definitely gonna report him . He is so aggressive and rude during lessons . Which really makes my confidence low 😞
Failed my last test, pulling out of a junction, turning right a car coming from a left bend come speeding round as I was already pulling out to turn I failed because they had to slow down because they were speeding? I was so gutted. Got my test in two hours and I’m even more nervous than before because of this 😂
It's a shame really, because people read the Highway Code, and are very worried about the test, but most of you will be very poor drivers on a short time, you will never read the Highway Code ever again. It's just a fact of life.
i prefer not to speak if i speak i will be in big trouble, in big trouble.. And i do not want to be in big trouble Yesterday i was travelling on the bus to go somewhere The bus was waiting behind in front of the queue in a four way temporary traffic light here in south west London While waiting, a car literally speed through while this was on red light and luckily no accident happened. Very dangerous, i repeat very dangerous josh. Yet, the DVSA Say i am not a safe driver What a joke. A lot went through my mind of course A driver does this idiotic thing and i am not seem as a safe uk driver Biggest joke of 2023 We all know why i failed, i put so much pressure on myself during the six month wait for a test i am aware some will say i have a attitude i am only reflecting on what i saw while sat on the bus 🤷♂️ For those who think I’m a hater, I’m not. I’m simply annoyed at myself on failing. i can drive Manuel and i know the understanding of the clutch gear shift. As i say, i prefer not to speak.
Yes my friend. Always break before bends not on the bend. Then maintain speed sound the bend and then accelerate out the bend. Also search for limiting points. If you struggle as your driving instructor about it. Basically always look for the furthest point down the road. If that point gets closer to you like a bend slow down. If it gets further you can speed back up

great video, great advice and on a personal note, good to see driving footage of the area i actually learned and passed my test on, Nostalgia!!!! up the stoke!!!
Mine made conversation passed first time. Got a car insured it n im terrified to use it still. 😅
You have to just keep getting out there. My sister in law was the same 5 years ago but she's okay now. It just takes time. Lots of small journeys out your comfort zone.
Thanks very much , very helpful ❤
You are most welcome thank you for letting me know ☺️
@@JoshRamwell no problem
Good advice .
got my test today you man pray for me 🤝
Hi,I passed my exam in 2009 because for of mum made me do it and I have driven on my own for long time, what can I do now
You're never going to see this examiner again, ever... unless you fail, then see you in a couple of months! 😂
That is very true 🤣
I've failed 5x so I bet their sick of seeing me at this point 😅. Got my 6th test next week.
@@MsDragonfire1992 how did you do!
In my driving test I ended up chatting to my examiner during slower easier village roads but then I got to the tricky roundabouts and faster roads it was complete silence
Coming from someone originally from Dudley/Wolverhampton….do not go there!!! Newcastle under Lyme is a much easier test avoid all of Birmingham lol
Agreed 😁🙌
I passed at Dudley but not planning on driving to Birmingham!
You having a laugh? The A500 up Stoke is like a road to hell 😮 I prefer Wolvo or Stafford lol
One of the instructors I had, accused me of fraud because I was 16 in my picture ID which look different to what I look like now at 23. She made me more nervous as a result before my test began.
I hope to come back with a pass my test is on Friday
Pray for me,,
Thank you ☺️
My test on 04 march 2:32 pm I'm super nervous. Busy time ☹️
Shouldn't be too bad. Any later and terrible

Glad you enjoyed it
My lessons tomorrow. In 13 hours. Absolutely shitting bricks
I want to do the practical test with you. Is it possible?
i wonder if you have a driving course m8
"Leave a comment bellow"??
I think you mean, "below".
I think I probably do
I have 8 fails în luton with examinaters and with my instructor I have 0 minors 0 fails
That's stressful
I had the same examiner twice so changed the test centre. Screw that pressure again 😰
Hi, please, can you recommend that which app is the best? About theory test to be instructed driver.
DVSA app.
Is a driving instructor allow to scream and shout at you during lessons ?
Not unless they went to get reported 😆
@@JoshRamwell thank you for replying. I am definitely gonna report him . He is so aggressive and rude during lessons . Which really makes my confidence low 😞
Already passed but I still watch these 😂
Well done Sophie hope you are getting lots of driving in 😁🙌
I have my exam on 10th march and I am not nervous at all I have practice very well and I hope I will pass that 🤞🏻🤞🏻

How did it go?
Got my test tomorrow
Oh, yeah I can speak for England, so I'll limit that on the test just to concentrate better
Yes and me, it gets me in trouble sometimes 🤣
Failed my last test, pulling out of a junction, turning right a car coming from a left bend come speeding round as I was already pulling out to turn I failed because they had to slow down because they were speeding? I was so gutted. Got my test in two hours and I’m even more nervous than before because of this 😂
That's a shame! Doesn't matter though you will nail it this time 😁🙌
@@JoshRamwell passed with 4 minors 🤣🤟🏻
@@courtney9139 of course you did! 😁 Well done Courtney!

Am all good for real test ?
I turned up in a t shirt jeans and hoody.
Hope I pass
I have exam today please pray for me 🤲🙏
I have practical test today
How did it go?
im sure your not allowed to drive your parents car even if they sit there with u
Yoy do, but you need Provisional Driver Licence, aka Learner's DL and they need to have a valid UK DL.
Test tomorrow 😳
It's a shame really, because people read the Highway Code, and are very worried about the
test, but most of you will be very poor drivers on a short time, you will never read the Highway Code ever again.
It's just a fact of life.
i prefer not to speak
if i speak i will be in big trouble, in big trouble..
And i do not want to be in big trouble
Yesterday i was travelling on the bus to go somewhere
The bus was waiting behind in front of the queue in a four way temporary traffic light here in south west London
While waiting, a car literally speed through while this was on red light and luckily no accident happened.
Very dangerous, i repeat very dangerous josh.
Yet, the DVSA Say i am not a safe driver
What a joke.
A lot went through my mind of course
A driver does this idiotic thing and i am not seem as a safe uk driver
Biggest joke of 2023
We all know why i failed, i put so much pressure on myself during the six month wait for a test
i am aware some will say i have a attitude
i am only reflecting on what i saw while sat on the bus 🤷♂️
For those who think I’m a hater, I’m not.
I’m simply annoyed at myself on failing.
i can drive Manuel and i know the understanding of the clutch gear shift.
As i say, i prefer not to speak.
Sorry to hear that but great advice. I see it all the time. A lesson learned and thank you for sharing ☺️🙌
@@JoshRamwell you’re welcome
Found this hard to watch (and listen to) due to the unnecessary and irritating music.
Anyone else found the music irritating?
Secrets ?? Either you can drive or you can’t 😂😂
got my test in a few hours, shitting it
how did it go
@@sofiacharles-ul9pq failed… got two serious for speeding and observation
@@thatguyxoxo im sorry about that, seems excessive for serious faults. what did u speed on? did u book another test?
@@sofiacharles-ul9pq was going 30 in a flashing 20, completely missed the flashing 20 somehow. i’ve not rebooked yet honestly too nervous to
I failed my 4th test by going to fast on a sharp bend any tips 🥲
Yes my friend. Always break before bends not on the bend. Then maintain speed sound the bend and then accelerate out the bend. Also search for limiting points. If you struggle as your driving instructor about it. Basically always look for the furthest point down the road. If that point gets closer to you like a bend slow down. If it gets further you can speed back up
Ok
