- Former US president Donald Trump again proclaimed that he would rather get electrocuted than be eaten by a shark during a rant at his campaign rally in Las Vegas.
Thousand of people braved the heat to attend Trump's campaign rally in Las Vegas; however, when his teleprompter went down, the former president went on a rant about boats and sharks, sharing his concern that the weight of electric boats could make them prone to sinking.
Sky News hosts Liz Storer and Caleb Bond and Sky News contributor Joe Hilderbrand reacted to Trump’s tangent about what would happen if an electric boat sank and there was a shark nearby.

It was a very round-a-bout way of making a point, but he's basically asking: If you had a strong enough battery in salt water, which is conductive, would the seawater have enough conductivity to carry a current dangerous to a human. If so, he would rather die by electrocution instead of being eaten by a shark (which he went off on a tangent describing shark attacks and whatnot). It wasn't elegant, but it wasn't incoherent. he even came back from his long-winded tangent without issue. Obviously, he had this story cued up and fumbled a bit on the delivery, but to say he was clueless is being extremely disingenuous or, ironically, you are clueless yourself.
Can a human be affected by a strong enough battery while submerged in seawater? An electric eel can stun its prey from up to 10 meters away, so maybe it's not such a "clueless" hypothetical question. Bottom line, stop giggling and pointing fingers when you aren't sure of the answer, either. It's sophomoric.

But I'm disappointed that he's declined to the point where he rarely goes into policy that I think are important -- such as FIRING THE FEDERAL RESERVE HEAD -- Powell who is killing the home/realestate industry and auto sales with these crazy high interest rates. Electricity does not work like that, there is no circuit with the ground and if there was it would take the easiest route through the best conductor; the water, it would not detour through your body as it is a bad conductor. Also a battery is no more heavy than an engine so not more likely to sink as boats are tested for buoyancy. I am pretty sure a company that makes boast that sink under their own weight would not be in business for very long.
Also the Democrats are a political party and not in the boat business last time I looked, if private companies who operate in a democracy are making electric boats, that's probably because they are faster, and cheaper and cleaner and require less maintenance and that people want to buy them otherwise people would not make them. Supply and demand and free market core conservatives values.

Here’s an idea that if implemented serves three different but useful purposes. If trump is threatened by elecricity and a shark at the same time, let’s put trump in a steel and locked Faraday Cage.
1. Faraday effect protects him from the electric shock (as long as he does not reach outside it for a a bottle of ketchup),
2) the cage also protects him from the shark (again keep hands in cage), and finally
3) it protects us, the American public, from him.
