Prophet 5, sounds programmed by Everton, used in the 70's and 80's, on several hits, flash back, clean sound synthesizer, one of the best of all time ...
this is f****ng on point!! killing it! but you did use spatial fx on some patches right? like that stringy pad (third sound or so) P5 has a mono out and cant be wider than that)
A truly beautiful machine. Awesome chords too. The lead runs were unsatisfyingly messy. But great demo overall. Thank you for this straight to the point video 👍
I owned a Prophet 5 for nearly 20 years... bought a Prophet 6... sold the Prophet 5. Take from that what you will, but many people overload the P6's mixer, resulting in a lesser sound. If you program the P6 well it surpasses the P5.
@@antonisatwork I had a rev 3.2. That being said, the differences between the rev 2 and 3 are slight. I compared them side by side in the past. It's typically overstated.
@Electric Cafe Give me a few months. My gear is packed up for an out of state move at the moment (seriously). I've been wanting to create some demos of the P6 and P12 lately anyways.
Classic Prophet 5
Niiiice!
You write "Nice" how you would say it in your videos

Yep, I heard his comment in my head.
The beginning reminds me simultaneously of “Rock with You” and “Baby Be Mine”.
Nothing sounds good as this synth!! ❤

Is there any way to buy some or preset sheets off of you?
Thank you for the great video anyway:)

Please, what effects are you using here? esp. on the first sound beside the delay?

Are these the factory presets? If not, wanna share 'em? :)
Nice! Using any FX?
Hi, can you make these patches available for the new Rev 4 models?
What exactly’s going on w that 4:10ish patch? That is some business. I wanna work there.

@Electric Cafe not rev 4?
Your video convinces me to stay away from the new Prophet 6 ... the warmth is not there in the new gear

@@jamesmeeker6933 Depends which revision you had

Great sounds and great playing. You could sell those sounds as a .Wav file for the cassette interface of the P5.
