$149 for a Aluminum enthusiast level keyboard with the best gaming functionality right now on the market seems like a heck of a deal. I don't really like the 75% layout, but knowing Akko and their releases, if this board does good in terms of numbers, they will keep pumping out a lot more layouts in the future, possibly a full lineup of Hall Effect boards like this. It's insane what competition does to a market.
I love 75% and with a knob, too? Chef kiss
It's $199 for the Aluminium version
@@Tripdoxx blackfriday sale atm, I got mine for 164$ ship+tax.
or you can get a 80$ full aluminium keyboard with built in bluetooth / wifi like rainy 75 or M1W.
Yo I want a keyboard that sounds good stock and the Akko mod 007 pc was a keyboard a lot of people liked. I’m considering buying it but are there better options? Also there is one on their website called the Akko mod 007b they say it’s the upgraded version but does it sound better then the Akko mod 007 pc
Akko is killing it lately! I don't do enough FPS gaming to really desire the hall effect switches but a couple of my sons love them and this might be exactly what they need. Love the caps and great review as always!
It was only a matter of time before more competition pops up, and I didn't expect it to happen this quick. The only other 75% I know that might compete with this is the Q1HE, which is still a way's away since there's no reviews anywhere.
There is also the Monsgeek M1HE but know one had reviewed it in comparison to other HE boards
price wise, there is also the drunkdeer A75
Boog75 by Meletrix 😊
I'm not a huge gamer anymore but I'd still like to try a HE keyboard one of these days, if Akko comes out with a TKL maybe I'd grab one to play around with. $200 pretty good price ($149 for PBT) and gotta say the kb looks pretty good for an enthusiast board even if I'm not huge on the colors.
With this keyboard and the new ones from Whooting and Keychron we're getting a lot of choices for FPS gaming. I want to see how the Keychron does when it releases soon. I love the look of their boards.
a hall effect keyboard with full aluminium case and gasket mount for only 25usd more than the wooting 60he is something else. It's hard to justify the price of wooting for me but this board is just wow. The price is far beyond reasonable. This is the first time I see an actual good competition/better upgrade to the wooting 60he.
they also made a hall effect m1 that’s $160
I've heard this has issues with keys not registering. I'll wait and see what the Q1 HE is like
That's beautiful. I'm talking about the mechanicas not the looks.
What is the difference with these Akko yellow magnetic switches and the other option Akko offers, the Akko pink magnetics? They have the same specs on the Akko page.
I just got mine, love the cream color. You didnt mention the included tape, is that for the tape mod?
Do you have any more information about 0.1mm rapid trigger update and maybe reduced latency?
Akko's sister company Monsgeek has M1 HE as well
@LewisToh
Is rapid trigger available for all keys?
hope a 60/65% comes out, would instantly get it
wait so I can essentially throw regular switches in this if I want to? I am impatiently waiting for Wooting to release a different size like a 75% or TKL but am desperately in the need for a new pure gaming keyboard.. If I could use this till the Wooting new model come out then switch this keyboard to regular tactile switches for productivity that would be elite!
i love magnetic switch and i have the drunkdeer a75... i might get this one too even tho i have a magnetic keyboard already but im buying it because of the build of akko which is a good keyboard brand and its also hotswappable with a normal switch i think if im correct. its also a wireless and bluetooth which can connect to my other devices
I was wondering how come many manufactures of HE keyboards specify they are compatible with their/xxx switches only, like even Keychron Q1 HE states "*The Q1 HE is compatible with the magnetic switches sold on the Keychron website only.". Why is that so? Does that stay true to Boog75 as well?
Another question that came to my mind - Are all HE keyboards (makers) with their magnetic switches have the feature of secondary activation (ex. press W to walk, press harder to Sprint) or it depends on if the switch has such support and respectively the software supplied by the keyboard maker? Thanks for the video.
And where's the software? It includes any software at all to personalyze the behaviour of the switches?
Can you buy the switches by itself and use them on the wooting?
Is there a Mechanical keyboard, with the 90s style L shaped Enter, 1u backspace?
i've been using it since 1995, this very keyboard, in membrane
still works, but is there any like this in mechanical? i ain't gonna switch to some hot new trend, if it can't get my needs
I have to choose between this one or the keychron Q1 HE 🤔
Man, the hall effect switches are getting more development and options than the optical switches are....(I only complain because I have an optical board and I'm poor, so I can't afford to buy another right now lol)...but that's cool to see. Nice that there are options as low as $149
Nice! I don't like the Wooting layout, almost got the Drunk Deer A75 and was thinking about the Polar 65.
If they can get the features and software of the Wooting with a metal body and hot swap switches thus will be the one.
I just bought 5 keyboards this last week... Funny enough the only gaming one the Asus Azoth I'm measuring higher latency than my Keychron Q3
I did have this keyboard on my list too but when i looked for it i only found diy kits for a regular mechanical keyboard.
Now i have the links soon as V2 drops ill have to get it and review it.
That's really good actually, a 2.4Ghz custom is always welcome. And even a 75% with separated function and arrow keys nonetheless. Wish it had QMK like some of AKKO's other boards but since they have their own software it's probably fine.
Akko is well know for high latency on their wireless modes
@@BlackOilyMenKissing Well that sucks, but the switch technology makes up for that a bit at least.
@@BlackOilyMenKissing Actually for our keyboard, recently since this year latency of wireless is normally better comparing to wired. See czcams.com/video/Ejrn_VL7OoA/video.html And our internal test also shows the actual scanning time for wireless 2.4G mode is a few ms faster~ Bluetooth is definitely not good for gaming.
Just ordered mine after watching this video 👍
clean look, i like
4:23 That tech is basically made for game controllers. That it came to a keyboard before is mind boggling…….
The battery seem kinda small compared to monsgeek and leobog 🤔
Is the switches pre lubed?
is it worth replacing the Kailh Sakura Pink Magnetic Switch from the MOD007B PC Tokyo with Akko V3 Silver Pro Switch or will i lose all those Rapid Trigger effect etc? (i'm noob in keyboard its my first time purchasing a great one and trying to mod it)
As long as the replacement switch is not a magnetic switch then yes you will lose the hall effect aka the rapid trigger effect with it as these effects are only possible with magnetic switches
damn wish i had waited for this instead of the drunk deer (but the drunk deer a75 is still a great keyboard for the price), but this looks super nice
What premier rank are you on cs2?
really nice to see the hobby getting more accessible and reasonably priced,, back when i joined the hobby you could barely get a decent board for a hundred bucks
It's great to see hall effect switches developing. I'm waiting for some custom ones for the Wooting
Gateron KS-20 exist for wooting
@@Haris_C KS-20 would have been better if they would have opted for a different material composition. Perhaps full milky housings. Instead, they perform much like the stock wooting switches but with varying spring weights. Not sure why gateron chose to make more recolors of the same switch that give the same sound.
@@livprime they sound different. Much better than wooting but would be nice to have others
@@Haris_C I would say that after hand lubing both, they sound the same. It makes sense because they are both gateron clear PC top which is what gives them the crap plasticky sound. They are both made by same manu with the same materials.
@@livprime geon raptor HE version is coming
No Typing sound ?!
Just bought a gmmk pro barbones and a wooting 60he (one for typing and one for gaming) damn i wish i knew about this its like both of them combined lmao
not to mention the gmmk pro is horribly overpriced for a mediocre board... the neo lineup of boards by qwertykeys are 10x better for a lot less money so like... prolly shoulda gotten one of those instead aha. or for a similar price as the gmmk pro, a zoom keyboard, which is about 15x better.
Nice 151 and Vstar Universe booster boxes. Why do building keyboards and collecting pokemon cards go together for so many people? 😂
If Wooting and GMMK Pro + a Wireless Keyboard had a baby 💀💀💀
akko is crazyyy (hi lewiz toe)
Really want that keyboard but they don’t have Nordic layout sadly 😢
They have it now.
Custom actuation is next level, future keebs gonna burn my wallet to ashes
The question is how can it support both normal and he?
Apparently you just have to make sure to calibrate it if you use both types of switches at the same time.
The only rapid trigger switch that sounds good
geonworks raptor HE are pretty nice and the hate for lekker switches is way overblown
@@6laka. nah. lekker switches just sound terrible. took me twice as long to lube & film them since i couldn’t find any film that would fit properly, but without the film, every switch sounded rattly asf. it fixed the problem, but the switches are honestly just pretty bad if you care at all about sound
@@floaTyturd id love to hear a sound test
Can you use 5pin switches??
No, 3 pin switches only
its HE time
Day 1 of asking to try the 60% razer huntsman v3 moddding?
The question at this point, is who is going to make a Hall effect keyboard that sounds as good as a regular mechanical keyboard, or at least close
This already sounds 10 times better than Wootings with custom Tofu cases.
this keyboard does sound like a custom lol. its got that creamy poppy sound that i aim for with a lot of my keyboards, so this honestly seems like the best thing to come out at this point for the try hard gamer approach. except i dont know much about hall effect so idk if this functions essentially the same as the wooting or if its different in some way... im not sure. i'd likely only get one for fun anyways as im not good at games to begin with so theres no reason for me to try to milk out the best performance i can out of my peripherals, since the actual skill i wield is... not great lol.
spoiler: it didn't ;)
This sounds way better than wooting's lekker switches
You can swap out the Wooting switches to something better/different so that's nice.
I swear one of the hundred videos I watched someone swapped to a major brand like Galtron.
That was one of the reasons I held off on getting the Drunk Deer A75
@@ViciousXUSMC what is the best? Akko or drunkdeer?
@@Met845 I cant say I have not used either, I did jump on the kickstarter from Keychron though for the new Q1 HE it seems to check every box that I was looking for from a hall effect keyboard.
@@Met845akko if u can afford it
i like how every keyboard brand is trying to piggyback off the success of the wooting 60 he
The wooting sounds like a** tbh
how abt steelseries? lol
Piggyback/give in to demand/provide more options/improve upon. Perspectives.

This sounds so bad... why do HE Switches sound so bad?
Might wanna get ur ears or audio device checked out 💀
@@Wyn3e nah sorry its way too clacky, clacky sucks like hell
Guess it's not your preference. Also I guess akko had a batch of switches that didn't get lubed or something on release and some sellers are offering replacement switches to those early batches.
