The bullet bills are polite, they let mario do the win pose after reaching the flagpole before resuming the chase
He's happy now, but he should stay on his guard if there's more coming after him.
That actually looks like a fun way to play Super Mario Bros. I'd be down for it, anyway. 👍
You should consider having Azurector help in-universe you fight Level Down. Maybe the ending could even be both of you mind-melding with him? I'd assume he'd weigh towards the good, which ultimately results in a being of good as your good and Level Down's evil would cancel out.

If he _would_ still end up dying, it's probably due to being crushed between walls/blocks or falling into the pit. A star won't protect you from THAT.

While this video is well-made and charming like all the rest, this type of "indestructible unstoppable death wall" obstacle in video games is... actually probably my least favorite.
Now BEFORE I CONTINUE: this is *_NOT_* critique of or in direct relation to the video itself, im just rambling about some personal experience/part of myself that I think has some level of relevance here. For all intents and purposes, the following is unrelated and casual.
I've never liked unstoppable moving death barriers in video games. I'd even say I feared them. Only recently have I ever began to tackle such things myself, out of self-defiance and determination.
The following levels I would avoid include:
- Cosmic Wall (ending only; Sonic Adventure 2 Battle)
- Final Rush (ending only; SA2B)
- Ocean Palace (Sonic Heroes, ending only, sonic/dark/chaotix)
- Power Plant (Sonic Heroes; sonic/dark/chaotix, ending only)
- Lava Landing (Kirby's Epic Yarn)
- Deep Dive Deep (Kirby's Epic Yarn)
- Cozy Cabin (Kirby's Epic Yarn)
- rising quicksand stage (Kirby Mass Attack (sandy canyon))
- ice dino/Icy Realm stage (Kirby Mass Attack (dedede resort))
- rising lava elevator stage (Kirby Mass Attack (volcano valley))
- Shadowbite/Gulpy Ghost stage (Kirby Mass Attack (volcano valley)
- Stage 5-3, Kirby Triple Deluxe (endless explosions, moving spiked muck walls)
And what's funny about this is, these are three of my favorite Kirby games, and two out of three of the only GameCube Sonic games I even own, and *_everything_* here is otherwise very nostalgic and held with above-average to high regard. I *LOVE* Kirby. I LOVE taking care of Chao. -and other things about sa2 but still- and hell, im gonna say it, I like Rouge's design in Heroes. I will _also_ say that Kirby's Epic Yarn, Mass Attack, and *_Air Ride_* are personally revered as my three first and absoLUTELY most nostalgic and favorite Kirby Games. It's. Just. The type of obstacle.
The moving. Unstoppable. Fűçķıng death barriers of whatever-substance-and-or-direction-have-you. They're _terrifying._ Im pretty sure if that uninterruptable wall of Bullet Bills were in an actual Mario level, I'd be increasingly anxious and tensing up for sure.
But hey, this is behind a phone screen and a youtube video, not behind a game screen and button inputs, so its funny to watch the little plumber man try all these things before realizing the only thing there is to do is run.

It's used in many places, mainly during racing missions/events, Rainbow Ride, and Tick Tock Clock to name a few.
It's also the default theme for Wing Cap and Vanish Cap courses when you're not wearing the cap.
