  • The Gotway Dten may be out of stock so check out this escooter, it's better, more affordable, and available for purchase: • INCREDIBLE $1300 Escoo...
    The most powerful escooter we've tested under $1500 really surprised us! Some say the Apollo Ghost is the most powerful electric scooter under $1500 but we found a scooter that costs less and is even more powerful... maybe too powerful! While the Gotway Dten e-scooter may lack refinement, it is ghostly fast!
    Gotway has been producing some of the most powerful electric unicycles on the market for years. So when we got a chance to ride and review the Gotway Dten we jumped on the opportunity. The Gotway Dten is the most powerful scooter we have ridden for under $1500.

    I see you guys struggle with this a lot when you unfold scooters. You can just apply the front brake so it doesn't roll forward on you and the weight of the scooter will help you lock it in place. That's what I do with mine and it works great. Hope that helps.

    That scooter is scary awesome. I have a half-dead Joyor Y9, that I bought in 2020 but didn’t use more than 3 times during the unvaccinated height of COVID-19. It worked great then, now it may need a battery. Please do a video on the correct way to change gears, especially when riding downhill. Every time a go across a bridge I put the scooter in 3rd gear, and tap the brakes if going too fast. I do this as an alternative to leaving it in 2nd gear and just free-falling & stripping the gear. There is no neutral setting to just coast downhill & use brakes to control speed. Each time I do this the scooter dies once I reach level ground.

  • @mig6220
    @mig6220 Před 3 lety +7

    I took mine out for a good run for the first time yesterday.
    I'm heavy(250lbs), and I found it sagged when on throttle. Braking caused a front dip. A few spins on the shocks to preload fixed it (alot more on the rear).
    That seat? While pretty comfy, it got in my way while standing. I ended up dismantling the entire seat assembly. Now, I can use the back pedal to push forward when this thing kicks in.
    That's probably why the dual version doesn't have the same seating...
    It seems like it's some kind of regen kicks in when off throttle. . No way to tell.
    U also can't get off and push while it's on. It'll fight you. Turn it off to push...
    First gear is great for normal riding. Gets up to 15-20 mph fully opened in first at my weight. But it bogs down, and stops in dirt. U need 2nd....
    2nd turns out into a bucking bronco! Lol
    It's fantastic fun in dirt. Light tapping is all u need to power it thru.
    Now third-i didn't have the balls to try out... lol
    I'm thinking it should be changed WHILE moving fast in 2nd already. I'll have to try it...
    What a blast! It takes some thought to manage... Can't wait to go out again😁

It is scooter for very experienced riders becosue of power and lack of stability on high speed. It should be with damper but I still didn't found way to install it. The only thing which helps is to make suspension really hard it will make it more stable. If we talking about applications, you can use EUC world with it which is the best EUC app in the world. Overall I still think the Maike MK8 is a much better overall package. For 1400 dollars you can get an 1800 WH samsung battery in it, and it has only a little less power, not to mention a much more robust feature set. That said if you're only going on short trips during the day this seems like a cool option.

    Cool.. so people reading comments. I'm hunting a $1,500 budget daily ride. This scoot here seems 👍good. I was going to get a sikk pad (a gas powered motorized bicycle) they are about the same price 6xs more rang about the same top speed out the box 📦. 35-40mph and both fall in the grey area Law with no license needed (i dont have one cant have one) would like some opinions on this choice.. both are sold out as of today.. i do love bicycle/mopad hybrids also the sikk padd has a LOT of upgrades available for it like a big bore kit for the 49cc motor to a 100cc.. and fixing it is easy..

  • @oddtechman
    @oddtechman Před 3 lety +5

    Like the first look of the scooter but there are quite a few disappointments for me looking at that design.. battery just 12.6Ah ..... I know its an 84V which makes up alot for the lack of current.. but you only have so much power from a battery and that 1,060W/h is poor. Cabling at the front stem is poor.. wires everywhere at the base of the stem.. and that suspension (hopefully thats just the review setting... looks waaaay too soft) agree with the light .. i actually laughed when you mentioned that part. Still for the price the scooter is crazy.. that rear motor spec is just nuts

      Cabling is fine. The battery box is nicely sealed, screws are rubberized. The suspension needs to be dialed in. (Preloaded) according to ur weight. That may help with nose dive on braking.

    They should add a bigger tire for bumps on the road. Using a small tire it's going to cause the front to lift even if u use a regular pedal bike and small tire on back. but also top speed can be effected by it.

    If you're going to hit speed on an e scooter, you want to be sitting down. Adjusting your stance can dangerously affect the weight distribution. With your weight on a central point, the seat you're in for a much better ride.

    • @MikaelLevoniemi
      @MikaelLevoniemi Před 3 lety

      In my locale seats are very much illegal on "electric kick scooters" as they are now suddendly seated motorcycles and need a driving license, registration and quite expensive insurance. Besides on most e-scooters the seat is too far back and makes the whole thing quite unstable when accelerating.

    • @colinriches1519
      @colinriches1519 Před 3 lety

      @@MikaelLevoniemi Yes on most it is too far back and an obvious teething flaw. In the UK from my experience the police don't really care as long as you're not riding dangerously. Mine is mid drive with a swing arm and beefy suspension and the seat is about three quarters of the way down from the front and I must admit at full power from standing it's hard to keep the front end down, but I do run it at 8.4 kw and have purposely modified it to be like that for fun.

    • @MikaelLevoniemi
      @MikaelLevoniemi Před 3 lety

      @@colinriches1519 I wouldn't call it a teething flaw as it has always been too far back and it's the same problem in every model ever made. It's good enough for 500W moped, but dangerous for 5600W speed demon.

      @colinriches1519 Před 3 lety
