I'm English. I was over in Cleveland 20 years ago, working there for six weeks. Looking to kill some time one evening, I thought I’d go to a baseball game and see what it was like. I saw Jim Thome hit a homer, loved the atmosphere, and went back several times over the next few weeks. I’ve been hooked on baseball ever since and it’s brilliant to see Cleveland doing well. Fabulous win, keep going guys!

My experience with cricket mirrors yours with baseball. Moved to New Zealand in 2016. Went to my first cricket Twenty20 and saw how similar and different are the skillsets. A booming six has the same majesty as a homerun. The only thing that was difficult to get used to was the long run up by the bowler. lol I saw the NZ Black Caps vs South Africa. Have been to several matches at The Basin, Skye Stadium in Wellington and a couple in Eden Park in Auckland. Btw, I grew up in Cleveland. Cheers, mate. 🇬🇧 🇳🇿 🇺🇲 ⚾️
The difference between the announcer hype for guardians and yankees is so significant. Guardians announcer is so much more enjoyable to listen to

Today was the most craziest days of MLB I seen in a while 😂😂. Especially that astros game
They literally play 2 games at same time 😂😂😂
That astros series was actually 4 games. Wild ride but it had to end for the mariners
Padres came back on the Dodgers just now 5-3 in the 7th inning to add on top of the madness
of course MLB uploads the highlights video of the game that started 3.5 hours later and ended after the Astros/Mariners game before the Astros/Mariners Game-3 highlights video...
even if the Mariners won, they totally depleted their pitching. It was a history making series nonetheless.
Regardless of how the rest of this post season plays out as long as these kids can stay together theres something special here. What a thriller.

Tom Hamilton is so good, and John Sterling on the Yankees radio call is so god awful! Why does a great and legendary organization like the New York Yankees employ such horrible announcers and analysts in John Sterling, Michael Kay and Suzyn Waldman?

Kwan is incredible. He looks a bit slim but turns out so powerful.
He’s such a tough out and that’s why the Yankees had to stop putting the shift on him. He sprays the ball all over the field. Had the highest BA for rookies this year for a reason!

All I have been hearing from the Yankees fans is Cleveland got lucky with drop in hits... I smile then reply.... The Guardians had 15 hits tonight, how many hits did the Yankees have? Oh yeah I think it was 5 and 3 of those were homers. Yankees salary is 216 mill vs Clevelands 56 mill. You can play for dollar signs or you can play for the love of the game.
And the funny thing is, that with over a hundred million dollar difference in salary, the Stankees only won 9 more games that Cleveland....

Hey if the Yankees lose to the Guardians and Guardians end up moving to the LCS against the Astros the Yankees still had a pretty good Aaron judge still had a pretty good record setting year
@Gabriel Martinez Soto Cal Quantrill pitches game 4 and that's not a very easy matchup for the Yankees although they did get to him last time Garrett Cole is going to be tough for the Guardians if they're going to score they need to score off him easily so they can knock him out of the game quickly and for the first time in the postseason they actually scored with the bases loaded they need to do that again against Cole so the Yankees don't have any chance of coming back but hey I'm impressed with the Guardians they've done really well this season but overall it's just a game one day you're the dog and the next day you're the fire hydrant and on any given day a good team can beat a bad team and a bad team can beat a good team

Holy Toledo! The Guardians come back and take this game from the Yankees in the 9th, unbelievable! I thought once Harrison Bader hit that home run that the game was over, wow! Then when Naylor struck out it let the air out some but Gonzalez said not today we winning this game New York!

As a cubs fan that suffered for so long to win a championship i know how it feels. I am rooting for the guardians because we took it from them while they are chasing to win one for a long time now.
That game 7 loss was something like we’ve never seen here in Cleveland. Not bc we kissed but bc it was like a home game for you guys. Cleveland sports home games (especially playoff games) are always hostile for opposing teams, that game was absolutely strange. I felt like it made the difference for you guys

I was at this game and what an incredible atmosphere. Walked to the hotel, which was up by Browns Stadium, and my friends who watched the game from the hotel room said with the delay they knew the guards’ did it before they saw the play on tv because they heard the pop from the crowd all the way across town. Playoff baseball is next level. Almost a year later I still get goosebumps reliving the experience

Cabrera wouldn't have heard the end of it if that ball had bounced off of the top of the wall (or off the wall) and he had a long single. Or maybe even have been thrown out at first.
I'm from Ohio and all across this state you could hear the cheers. What I hate the most about the Yankees is every freaking time they hit a HR they irograntly pose and flip their bats. My father always said " act as though you have done this before ".

And all single hits by Guardians' batters were more effective than just having 3 solo homers from Yankees! Keep up your good work and add one more win tomorrow to show the amazing power of small baseball ! Of course, your relievers had done very good jobs as well 👍!
As Shohei's fan, it's so sad that Shohei couldn't perform in postseason again as Angels couldn't go postseason in consecutive 8years. Since Shohei is also doing a lot of small baseball works throughout the season, I am glad to see Guardians' success.
@@kellyv.288 Other than Yankees, Mets, and Dodgers, I realized Padres, Houston, and Phillies (sometimes) were all aiming mainly for hits instead of homers. That's why they beat Mets and Dodgers other than good pitching. I hope tomorrow Guardians would get another win and made your way up! Good luck to you all!
By the way, you probably haven't watched Shohei plays. Shohei will do anything to win and get RBI, he will bunt, steal a base, bat scarified fly, or hit a single/double/triple especially when there's runner at the base. Shohei is most clutch player in MLB both at the plate and on the mound from MLB stat. This season Shohei wanted to raise his hitting average and numbers of hits rather than more home runs and Shohei did successfully (though his homers decreased). Shohei does everything (except catcher) for baseball, that's why he is so interesting for watching (he is fastest runner in MLB too, 4.07s from home to 1st base).

But I don’t really care for teams that use their mighty purchasing power to take all the best players from other teams, and think having the highest payroll each year equals winning. I love it when these teams lose to low payroll/built from within type teams. It’s great for the game.

I’ve been an A’s fan my whole life, and the first ball game I went to watch at the Coliseum was A’s-Indians.
Since then I’ve also held a soft spot for Cleveland. I’ve followed the Guardians journey since spring training this season, and I’m so so glad that they’re still rolling on!!

Roger Clemens pitched in relief, and Chris Burke hit the walkoff home run to send the Astros back to the NLCS. The Braves were eliminated from the postseason that day as well.

The Guardians have been written off since Spring training, yet somehow the future Hall of Famer Manager, Tito Francona, somehow cobbled together a bunch of young, enthusiastic, hitters, and talented fielders, with speed and hustle, with a couple rockstars, JRAM and Clase! They are hot at just the right time. Best game was the 15 inning epic v Tampa, so many thrills and still a lot of innings to play. Hope Cleveland finishes off the Yankees tonight in front of the home crowd 🙂

I’m a huge Mackenzie fan. He had great moments but Judge and Cabrera got to him. I still think he’s destined for elite level pitcher. Importantly, he’s part of a team that’s quite special. They are all elevating each other’s games. Unreal.
