  • S.K Gupta in conversation with Thakur Ragunath Singh Ji Kanota
My father was colonel kesari singh ji, and we were two brothers , and four sisters. I had a wife who passed away in 1986 and a son prabhu singh who also expired in 1996. And I have three grandsons as successors.
I live in narayan niwas, and I was born in kanota house, haldiyon ka rasta and at the age of 6 months I was brought to narayan niwas by my father.
Thakur sahib mentions that at that time the education for girls was a strict no as the females of the house were not even allowed to move out of the houses in case when education is provided to the girls it has to be like that some female teacher would come and teach and would leave, even if the entire family is going out the females has to be in purdah.
My eldest sister had education in Maharani Gaytri Devi school as the idea was proposed by king of jaipur and rani gaytri devi that the females of rajput families who are restricted to purdah will be called out into a new world and that has to be started with education.
The time of construction of MGD rani sa had a word with my father about the idea of opening a school and spreading education, whereas a lot of discussions were done about who will be selected as the principal for the school.
My life, upringing and studies everything is done in jaipur only, I had my studies from St. Xaviers’.
That was time when school fee was 12 rs which included 10rs fee with 1 re library and 1 re sports.
This was a brief about the interview uploaded above wherein Thakur sahab unveils many intresting facts about how , when and what were the things that happened which led to a big change,
    The change
    Which was beyond every range
    The struggle for bread
    The blood so red
    The people “dead”
    And the pride on head
    The love and rage
    History and age
    The proud reality
