@@FeherViktor-zl8bmWarzone 3.0 used to give me stutters until I changed a few settings on AMD adrenalin. Maybe you can do the same in Nvidia control panel.

@BassDude-wb9ic Well, you call it midrange but consider this. How many GPUs can actually perform at acceptable frame rates with path tracing? A 4070 super can do path tracing at 1440p, unlike most GPUs on the entire market.

Nah, 7900 GRE is the sweet spot between price to performance to VRAM right now.
@@raresmacovei8382not really the 7900 still can not do any decent ray tracing and you still need to oc it to get a lead and thats with a more expensive card like a sapphire nitro. The 4070s can also be oced and the diff is one digit still again till activate rt, you also get better frame gen and upscaler.

All Nixxes ports since Spider-Man have a memory manager that doesn't let the VRAM get maxed out at the cost of some performance according to a recent interview on Eurogamer.

Thanks for testing! Special thanks for 8K resolution testing. 8K requires more than 16 VRAM, in some cases more than 24 VRAM (Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart).

I have a 4070 and it's running the game like a dream! Frame generation and dlss are flawless in this title.
I've been getting a consistent locked 144 fps experience in 1440p with some settings on high which is surprisingly similar to the super!
I can't wait to get into this with my 4070.

Hi! Which cpu are you using in your rig? I have 4070 paired with 5 7600 and I'm just wondering if it's going to be enough for 1440p max settings cause I heard that this game is relatively CPU intensive (I didn't play it yet, still waiting for a new monitor).
I wish more developers used Guerrilla's Decima engine for their games especially if they're not going for an ultra realistic look and still want to make their game look artistically great just like Horizon Forbidden West.
I just wanna say your Videos are really great and you really try to push what GPU's can do from the present newest ones to the older ones that can still hold their own. I have one suggestion if you are able to purchase this: Crysis 3 remastered definitely more for showing examples of the raytracing within the newer generation of gpu's but also testing out fps at 4k resolution, this game is still golden for showing off it's graphics. Keep up the amazing work you do on your channel.

For K series cpu, Z series motherboards should be used or we can also use B series motherboards. What I asked others was the Asus ROG STRIX B760 F GAMING WIFI DDR5 motherboard.
If the rtx 40 series would have been less cheaper and compete with the amd gpu prices, it would have been a steal in terms of performance and with their rtx 40 limited features like dlss 3 fg, and extreme ray tracing performance
Nice vid ! This game run really well ! I play it on my 4070 laptop and it run at 60+ with everything max dlss +fg on. The 4070 super is an amazing card and is probably one of the best card for the bucks since a lot of time in my opinion !

Picked up this card this week, upgraded from a 3070. Its an absolute beast. 3070 could hold 60 at 1440p on this game with DLSS but it sounded like a spaceship getting ready to land on Mars. My card has 2 fans compared to my 3 fanned 3070 and the 4070S is way quieter and runs at lower temps with less power draw. Frame gen is mind-blowing, Never played a game this demanding while getting 120+fps. Same thing with Cyberpunk couldn't get over 60fps with RT on with the 3070, now I'm playing at over 100fps RT with frame gen.
My only hope is that devs in the future don't skimp on performance because of the existence of frame gen and upscaling tech. Shoutout to Nixxes for a great port
Cyberpunk is ridiculous. At 4K i'm barely holding 60fps with RT on.
i have 3070ti, although it's weird cause i cranked the settings up to high and got ctd and error saying that i go a little too high on the settings. i got like 70-90 fps average at 1440p. the gameplay is smooth but still ctd just like the last of us part 1. it is because of vram? i used msi afterburner but the vram check is at ~7700mb. hmm

Guerilla are magicians with their engines. I was just replaying Killzone 2 on the RPCS3 emulator, and that game is still shockingly gorgeous, it's unbelievable they had that thing running on that weak ass PS3. They consistently push console tech while still focusing on having gorgeous art design that ages extremely well! VERY underrated developer. Also amazing work by Nixxes on the port!

1:34 dw, there have been like 4 solid capture cards for HDMI 2.1 for a while now, 2 each from Elgato & AverMedia. U could try those :D
I wonder how framegen works in this if it only increases fps by around 20 percent. Shouldn‘t it totally mess up the frametimes if it only generates additional frames that irregularly? I think you even mentioned that on the contrary it even smoothed out the frametime graph. Is there a technical explanation for this? Not questioning your findings, just interested.
Actually when you turn on FG it slightly decrease the base framerate around 20-30% and then multiply them, example : if you have base framerate 80fps then turn on fg it decrease fps to 60fps and generate new frame between all the real frame and you get final fps around 120fps. Thats why we see the FG doesnt exactly multiply our framerate by 2x
This game looks amazing with Dlss and FG. buttery smooth 144 frames most of the time without losing too much quality. I cant even tell I lost any quality at all. I dont notice any delay input either. its nuts how optimized this game is. I am glad i saved up for it.
I def made a great choice by not playing this game on the PS5 a few months ago. Now I'm definitely gonna be able to enjoy it with its awesome graphics at 60fps with my 3090 if this card can run it at around 50 with max settings.

you should try testing fs3 mod which enables frame generation on older nvidia and amd gpus, result might be suprising
5800x, 6800xt, 32gb 3600mhz ddr4 in native 1440p w/ a mix of very high/high settings I'm getting a 95fps average out west (near posiedan), a much more intense area than the daunt. I was spoiled in the daunt at 110+fps thinking that was going to be my experience the whole game. Nah, once you get to the big map I lost a good 15fps on average. Still very happy w/ the perfomance!

Running this on a RTX4070 with reduced voltage, 1440p maxed out with DLSS, no FG, no reflex runs absolutely perfectly (80-100fps, flawless frametimes) while consuming no more than 120-130W. This is ridiculous given the achieved graphics quality... I am amazed by AD104.

This game has memory leak issue, although I suppose they'll fix it in a patch very soon, as many have reported about it. For 3070, it's very capable of running this game flawlessly. Optimization is at work here, otherwise comparatively worse looking games like TLOU uses much more vram.
I don't know how these games are made, but I wonder if there are 8K assets in them or they just "upscale" the whatever resolution they are.

If you only play games, swap the 7900X for a 7800X3D.
32 gb of ram would also be sufficient.
If you also do video-editing, live streaming or run heavy computing software (for engineering etc) than the current setup is fine.
Price evulation depends on how much storage you get, the case, the type of motherboard used, the type of cooling as well.
If it is all top notch, 2400 is not to much.
If it is all budget, 2000 should be the max.

Is there any way you could progress a bit trough the game in the later areas? They arguably look much better and vibrant and run pretty similarly to the first section of the game. It would be a bit more fresh at least and fun to watch.

Upscaling from 1800p.
Right now playing rdr2 and 4k dlss quality is not quite enough with hair and some other small detail. Going to try to run at 5k with dsr if it helps.

it shows that 4k 60 is still a niche thing for most graphics cards, I will say the only one that guarantees it is the 4090, and this video is perfect proof of it, it gets barely to 4k50p when not much is happening on the screen.

I cant believe I didnt make this connection earlier, since i played and beat both games, but doesnt this game remind you of Avatars of Pandora but in 3rd person? Honestly, theyre very similar games just in different perspectives.
I guess they're similar indeed! Water is much better in this one though and some vegetation textures are a little better in avatar :)

Dlss is good but when turning on cloud quality decreases noticeable. It is pixelated and less sharper even at 4k quality dlss. Other than that it is very good.

13:07 personally disagree, alot of the lighting, shadow and reflections in this game doesnt hold up to the high quality textures and assets quality ,The RT equivalents of those would have greatly helped

As someone who played this on PS... I always wondered why PC needed ray tracing so bad when games already looked so good... Turns out it's purely on the devs to make games look nice instead of relying on hardware to make it look nice.

Horizon zero dawn was beautiful and optimized too, with my 3060ti i do 100 fps ultra no dlss 1440p , unfortunately right now it keepz crashing for no reason and i cant play it
