People need to realize that the biggest problem with Be:Lift taking so much from Ador is that they are label mates, and that Bang PD not only let it happen, but was a part of it! In the case of the group Jeans, they debuted almost thirty years ago. MHJ took a concept she saw that was almost thirty years old and based on her intuition and experience thought it could work today. This was at a time when girl crush and sexy were the more popular concepts. MHJ took a risk, and it paid off, making New Jeans the hottest new girl group. Be:Lift created Illit less than two years after New Jeans debuted. There was no creativity or inspiration there. There was no risk involved. That was basically looking at all the money that was being generated by New Jeans and saying… I want one of those.

IMO, I think this issue arises because where in a complete different generation. Think of it this way, New Jeans' concept is not new, BUT is new in today's age. So when Illit's teasers and photos came out, (well in my case) I thought of New Jeans, BECAUSE they litterally brought back the Y2K in today's age. I know some would say that "New Jeans isnt the only GG who have brought back Y2K", yes they're right, BUT also keep in mind that the theie oncept is not just for the promotion photos or teasers, NJ also released Y2K inspired songs for their debut song and that is Attention. Two things can be true at the same time: first, the similarity between the two are unacceptably obvious; and second, the group members are not at fault, they're just working hard in such a competitive industry. That's my personal stance on this, and the channel uploading a few video emphasizing the first in a few videos doesn't mean disregarding the second, and summarizing all related things in one video isn't "bringing down a group".

It won't look the same in videos like this but for example when you are scrolling through shorts and randomly see a pic of Illit, many people including me have confused it for newjeans. This is probably what people are talking about. They have taken the core aspects of newjeans that wont look like much when you know what you are looking at but will give you the vibe of newjeans if you just happen to stumble across an image.

There's a famous choreographer who accused them of copying her choreography without giving proper credit. The question is, did the agency address this? Even if they did, some say they credited late because it was only mentioned by the original artist. It's hard to say that this is coincidence the similarities of Illit to New Jeans as New Jeans is very current and popular this days and Illit just debuted so it's hard not to see that there is really a similarities considering the time and generation they are in

I was looking at Instagram reels randomly and I liked a reel thinking it was Newjeans but turns out it was Illit. It's really too identical that I couldn't tell them apart on quick glances in reels.

People need to realize that the biggest problem with Be:Lift taking so much from Ador is that they are label mates, and that Bang PD not only let it happen, but was a part of it! In the case of the group Jeans, they debuted almost thirty years ago. MHJ took a concept she saw that was almost thirty years old and based on her intuition and experience thought it could work today. This was at a time when girl crush and sexy were the more popular concepts. MHJ took a risk, and it paid off, making New Jeans the hottest new girl group. Be:Lift created Illit less than two years after New Jeans debuted. There was no creativity or inspiration there. There was no risk involved. That was basically looking at all the money that was being generated by New Jeans and saying… I want one of those.

IMO, I think this issue arises because where in a complete different generation. Think of it this way, New Jeans' concept is not new, BUT is new in today's age. So when Illit's teasers and photos came out, (well in my case) I thought of New Jeans, BECAUSE they litterally brought back the Y2K in today's age. But since they are under the same label Hybe, groups should not be too similar to another to avoid such internal conflicts. That’s why SM, YG, and JYP usually debut only 1 boy group and 1 girl group for each generation.
