This is episode three of a five-part series of conversations centered on LA Plaza's "18th & Grand: The Olympic Auditorium" exhibition, produced and hosted by Milena Ortega, a recent UCLA graduate and Summer 2023 LA County Department of Arts & Culture Arts intern.
In this episode, she is joined by Gene Aguilera, Latino boxing historian and author of several books on Latinos in boxing, and Frankie Duarte, a Super Bantamweight boxer who fought at the Olympic Auditorium. Gene served as co-curator of "18th & Grand: The Olympic Auditorium" exhibition, which runs through May 19, 2024.
